About this apartment rental
This is a 1000 sqft daylight basement that is wonderful for a quick layover in Salem, Or. Come for a few nights or a couple weeks. It has a one bedroom with a queen bed, shower, dining area, a large living space and is great for a couple. Full sized fridge, hot plate, toaster, microwave, and coffee machine available. TV is via wifi. This is the basement of my residence and its tucked in a quiet neighborhood of South Salem, 2 miles from downtown. I reside in the main part of the house above this unit. Normal creaks in flooring and normal noises can be heard. Lawns need mowing and yard needs tending so you'll feel right at home when the mower starts up! Neighborhood sound rules apply, Quiet time between 10pm and 6am. There is a storage room and a tool room that I may periodically need access to but with plenty of notice before.
Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Great outdoor patio for sitting and enjoying the cool evenings of summer. On street parking with a short walk down stairs to the entrance.
Air conditioning keeps this daylight basement cold in the summer and it is warm and cozy during the winter months. Welcome to my home away from your home!

This place is very affordable & allows your pet family! You could spend your money on a hotel where you are confined to a room with a bed & a bathroom or stay here where you have a full bedroom with a gigantic bed, top quality pillows, closet space, bathroom, living room with smart TV, books, art, a separate desk/ office area. There is a kitchen without a stove/ oven but fully stocked with dishes, plates, coffee cups, bowls, glasses, utensils, cutting boards, etc.. There is a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee/coffee pot, toaster, one of those toaster oven/baking appliances. There is no dishwasher but there is a dish draining rack over a deep and large sink (with a high water pressure sprayer) and fresh cleaning sponges/dish soaps/paper towels, fabric towels. There is a dining room with a cute table and 4 chairs big enough to accommodate 4 people without overcrowding. There is an area with two cozy chairs with natural lightening for lounging and great for reading or Journaling. There is an extra area before getting to the backdoor with a comfy twin/full bed with a bedside table & lamp. There are plants to purify the air. There are full size windows providing sunlight and views to the outside patio. A project in process, the patio provides a secluded & natural atmosphere with tables, chairs, fire pit, heated propane fireplace, and more. And there is the humorous gobble gobble sounds of the neighborhood's wild turkeys to make you smile and remember life's precious moments!

We had a very peaceful and restful weekend stay - an ideal spot close in to city center but without any of the rough city edges. We will definitely plan to stay when the next occasion comes up. Cassi is a gracious and helpful host.
