Filicudi (9.5 sq km, 250 inhabitants) is one of the seven Aeolian islands of pristine, volcanic beauty, world heritage site. Of Mediterranean charm, Filicudi applies in Italy as one of the most unspoiled islands of the Mediterranean. Known in Italy as the island of architects and artists (Fuksas, Sottsass) is considered 'EcoChic'. Excavations of Bronze Age (Capo Graziano culture) Filicudi is a diving and snorkeling paradise, amphores, numerous ancient shipwrecks. Marine Grotte del Bue Marino (sea lions) and basalt obelisk (Canna 71m) in the sea. Black lizards and nesting habitat of hawks. Numerous hiking trails, bridle paths / 'Mulattiere' inviting for trekking around the island lead in pristine wilderness. Rent scooters, cars and boats. Guided excursions to the summit or around the island. Villa Belvedere di Monte Giulia is located in a secluded location amid meditteranean macchia, breathtaking views of six of the Aeolian Islands, Mount Etna, Sicily, Calabria. The house is comfortable with in10-15 min driving distance from the sea through Provincial Road (SP) branch Valdichiesa (private road from there) or through various mountain trails on foot in about 30 minutes or more

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans cette maison très agréable, surplombant toute l'île et avec une vue incroyable sur les Eoliennes et la Sicile. La terrasse est splendide et on y passe la plupart de son temps.
Tout était très bien organisé pour notre arrivée avec la présence de Fabrizio qui nous a accompagnés et nous a donnés toutes les informations nécessaires. Nous sommes passés par lui pour la location d'une Jeep, qui est indispensable pour pouvoir bien profiter de l'île.
Nous avons particulièrement apprécié Filicudi pour sa beauté et sa tranquillité.

Lieber Nino,
wir haben die Zeit auf Filicudi und in Deiner traumhaften Villa sehr genossen.
Auch nach über 30Jahren meines letzen Aufenthalts auf Filicudi war es eigentlich als wäre ich nie weg gewesen. Die Zeit steht still und man ist vollkommen im jetzt und hier. Es ist tatsächlich wie Du selbst schreibst ein Ort zwischen Himmel und Meer an dem man sich an den sternenklaren Nächten ebenso berauscht wie an den azurblauen und zu dieser Jahreszeit bunt blühenden und duftenden Tagen.
Die Kinder haben die vielen alten Maultierpfade in die Dörfer und ans Meer lieben gelernt und so war es auch ohne Auto völlig unproblematisch und erlebnisreich. Aber gut zu Fuss sollte man schon sein! ;-)
Das Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen und war aufgrund der exzellenten Belüftung trotz der heißen Außentemperaturen ein angenehm kühler Rückzugsort. Wir haben viel selber gekocht und dafür alles in bester Ausstattung vorgefunden- was im übrigen für die gesamte Villa gilt!
Vielen Dank auch nochmals für Deine Hilfestellungen bei An- und Abreise.
Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte mal da!!

Drei Wochen haben wir in der Villa Belvedere verbracht, und eigentlich war es nicht genug. Wenn man sich einmal auf Filicudi eingelebt hat, möchte man gar nicht mehr weg. Die einmalige Lage, der gepflegte Zustand von Haus und Garten und vor allem die grosszügige Terrasse machen die Villa sehr lebenswert. Wie haben wir diesen Blick von der Terrasse geliebt! Tagsüber wandern (gerne auch mal auf einer der anderen äolischen Inseln, per Aliscafo kein Problem) oder einfach nur abhängen, im späteren Nachmittag an den schönen Wackerstein-Strand von Le Punte - Taucherbrille und Schnorchel nicht vergessen. Und Abends in der gut ausgestatteten Küche selber etwas brutzeln oder sich in einem der Restaurants mit frischem Fisch und Meeresfrüchten verwöhnen lassen. Filicudi und die Villa Belvedere waren die absolut richtige Entscheidung!
