About this cottage rental

Nestled in Cape Porpoise, this lovely cottage for $1,500 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Beautiful vacation home just feet from the water's edge, with breathtaking panoramic views of Goat Island Lighthouse, surrounding harbor, islands and open ocean. Quiet setting, off the beaten path, with easy access to the attractions of 'The Port' (Kennebunkport) and nearby beaches. Full access to a private (shared with only one other house) dock right in front of house. Lots of grass for kids to play, and tidal pools to explore. The views cannot be beat, and the interior finishes of the house are high-end. Most people who visit this house say they have never experienced views this spectacular. There are two king-bed primary bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, 1 queen-bed and 1 double/full-bed guest room that share a hallway bathroom. Bedrooms are small to maximize guests, but are very comfortable. No houses are allowed to be built this close to the water today in Kennebunkport, and no expansion of homes in this area is permitted. This is truly a unique and very special home. The house is only rented out a few weeks of the year, as our own family uses it regularly. Use the house's paddle-boards, row the dinghy or row boat, or have a kayak or more paddle boards dropped off by the local rental service to launch at high tide right in front of the house. Or at low tide put on your sandals or an old pair of sneakers and go mud-flatting. Likely you will find yourself just lounging on the porch sofa and watching the tide go in and out, boats sailing by, and the lobstermen unloading the day's catch at the pier. Walk a few doors down the street to pick up your fresh steamed lobster, steamers, chowder and corn from Langsford Lobster company, or walk a little farther to Cape Porpoise Kitchen for sandwiches and gourmet prepared foods, or to famous Bradbury's Market for groceries. Enjoy the 5-person hot tub after jumping into the chilly Maine water. Personal chef recommendations upon request. Access to a Peloton spin bike upon request. Level 2 EV charger available. We also have a cottage next door that is occasionally also available for rent. Please contact the owner with any questions. The rates are not negotiable.

I spent 5 days at this lovely home with my husband, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and the house had plenty of toys and games to keep my 4 year old grandson entertained. The surrounding area of Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport make you feel like you have stepped into a postcard. Everything is so quaint and beautiful. We had a wonderful time exploring the towns and beaches. Danielle was quick to answer any questions we had and made us feel welcome in her home. We had a wonderful time making memories together! Thank you Danielle for sharing your lovely home!

The house is terrific overlooking the water and ocean. It is in impeccable condition, and first class all the way. The bedrooms upstairs can accommodate 8 people easily. The views from inside and from the porches are spectacular. I can highly recommend it.

Amazing cottage with more than anyone could ever want or need for an unforgettable vacation. The moment I walked through the door a feeling of calmness came over me as I looked through all the windows at the boats floating in the ocean with an amazing lighthouse not too far behind them. Everything in the cottage was so clean and well organized. Lots of white fluffy towels in every bathroom. Duet shades in the bedrooms, leave them open to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The renovations are next to none that I have ever seen, the workmanship was definitely that of a master carpenter, just perfect. It is just as described and even better. The landscaping is professionally done and the grass is so green and plush. Everything is very close, just a short walk down the street is an awesome place to buy fresh lobster which they will cook for you or cook it yourself! The New England clam chowder was absolutely delicious. Close to many attractions, shopping, downtown Kennebunkport, restaurants and sightseeing. Just 20 minutes to Ogunquit, and don't miss a stroll along Marginal Way. The ocean waves crashing into the rocks is a sight you will never forget. The owner is prompt in returning phone calls, and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Thank you Danielle........I just didn't want to leave and cannot wait to return.
