About this villa rental
Nestled in Kiawah Island, this attractive villa for $285 per night is a great option for your next trip. We are excited to announce a full remodel and renovation of our Kiawah villa to make it one of the most elegant and comfortable villas on the island. We have spared no expense on the hundred thousand dollar makeover that was lead by one of the top area decorators Shannon Bogan (S. Bogan Designs). The remodel included all phases of the villa to make it one of the premier rentals on the entire island. Some of the features include hardwood flooring, custom cabinets, stone countertops, high end stainless appliances, custom tile walk-in shower and tile floor in the bathroom. All new lighting, faucets, sinks and plumbing hardware were included in the renovation. New furniture and decor has been hand picked by our interior designers. Also the size of the bathroom was enlarged with custom closets added in the bedroom and bathroom. A dining bar area will increase the living space along with flat screen tv's in the villa both with HD CABLE, HDVR and HIGH SPEED internet 50MBPS. This remodel will give our guest luxury accommodations to match the wonderful island and ocean views from our oceanfront villa. Please check out the new pictures. The designer, contractor, and property managers are stunned we are renting out such an incredible place, but we want the renters who will enjoy the upgrades and take care of the unit as it were their own. We are offering for rent our beautifully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bath Villa on fabulous Kiawah Island. As we are located directly on the beach, there is an ocean view from the deck and part of living room along with gorgeous island views. A boardwalk leads you from our building through the dunes to Kiawah's famous beach. Listen to the peaceful sounds of the ocean waves as you relax in the villa. Our Villa is just a short stroll to Couger Point golf course, West Beach Village tennis center and the Straw Market complete with shops and restaurant. Kiawah's new shopping area, Freshfields Village, is only a 5 minute drive or short bike ride with paved bike paths the entire way there. Here you will find a range of restaurants, grocery store, nightlife, outdoor music, and shopping. Free Wireless Internet in our Villa keeps you up to date via your laptop while on vacation. Also enjoy the 30 miles of bike paths and trails throughout the island with spectacular wildlife and natural habitat Amenities: A complete remodel and renovation. The kitchen is as luxurious as you can find in any high end home. Custom cabinets, counters and backsplash, undercabinet lighting, and high end bosch stainless appliances. New glassware and dishes with all utilities needed. Living area includes new sleeper sofa, 2 luxurious swivel and rocker chairs for relaxing, flatscreen tv with HD cable and Blueray DVD. A 4 stool bar for dining with pendant lighting overhead. Bathroom: Custom tile walkin shower, new vanity and bath closet along with custom handmade tile for the floor. The bedroom boast a kingsize seally posterpedic, wonderful view of island and partial ocean view with all hardwood flooring and flatscreen tv with hd cable. A wonderful retreat to relax in paradise. Kiawah is famous for over 10 miles of its wide pristine beaches along with its natural habitat and wildlife. The world famous Santuary Hotel and Spa on Kiawah island is just minutes away. Enjoy fine or casual dining and an award winning spa in this 5 Star Resort. 30 plus miles of paved bicycle paths, 10 miles of wide pristine beach, 5 Championship golf courses including the Ocean Course, site of the 2007 Senior PGA tournament and the 2012 PGA tournament. Night Heron Park offers basketball courts, soccer fields, picnic area, as well as nature center where you can arrange to rent kayaks and canoes. Area: Kiawah Island is a private gated island located 35 minutes south of historic Charleston, South Carolina. This villa is wonderful! It is comfortably and beautifully outfitted with everything that you could need and I love the sliding door that opens to the living room to let in the sea air and soothing ocean noise! The owner was GREAT with communication as there was some outdoor updates going on during our stay and I just couldn't have been happier with the whole thing!

Frustrated re issue with sand. Constantly thinking about it in the room. Check out a little later would have been nice as well. Hard to empty by 10 when I was at a conference until noon.

Long weekend
The property was just perfect. The condo was amazing and the property was delightful! We did have a problem with the gate key to the beach but that was rectified immediately!!

The condo was lovely. The restaurant list was outdated since covid. and there was no toilet paper holder in the bath.The vew was beautiful and we saw deer in the yard. We will return!

Everything was perfect. The a/c worked great, very nicely decorate, very comfortable bed, awesome shower, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful view of the ocean, just steps to the beach as soon as you get out if the elevator. I would definitely stay again.

Annual honeymoon
We really enjoyed our stay at Shipwatch Villas. The property was just as described and what a lovely view of the ocean. The property is very well decorated, although starting to show it's age. A great location with ocean views and such close proximity to the beach. We loved the complex in general and were so impressed with how clean and well kept all of the spaces were.
We had a small issue with the cable and Travis was quick to respond with great communication and help troubleshoot. Otherwise, our trip was without issue. The villa was well stocked with all of the kitchen items and linens we could need. Our favorite part was the balcony with views to enjoy each morning as well as the accessibility to the beach right down the hall. We appreciated these wonderful accommodations and will definitely be back to Kiawah!

I'll start by saying the kitchen remodel is really nice. Glass front lighted cabinets, stainless appliances & extra counter space. The bathroom was also really nice. But the problems we found were a deal breaker. I tried to contact the owner, no response, after 2 days I was able to talk the property manager. Really thought the issues would be addressed. The wooden patio furniture was falling apart with exposed nails, blood on the mattress, furniture in the living room was also very worn out, the springs were "very loud" after sitting in it. There was no interest in addressing these issues. We did not hear back from the owner or the property manager. All things considered, we would not recommend this unit & will not stay there again

Porch furniture is rickety and threadbare; Laundry detergent was promised in the property listing, there was none in the unit. Had we known we could have brought our own instead of making a somewhat inconvenient trip to the store to purchase it. Finally, toilet paper and paper towel usage seemed to be calculated to the sheet for our six-day stay. Maybe consider adding a roll or two

This was the first get away for me and my husband since before we had kids 26 years ago! We had never heard of Kiawah Island and just happened upon it while looking for a place to stay with Charleston as our destination. This condo was the perfect size for the two of us. Upon entering the condo for the first time, we noticed just a few cosmetic things....the electrical box cover was falling off and held by tape that had let go, caulking in the kitchen along the counter needs redone, the light on the wall in the bedroom did not work, and the shower probably needed scrubbed better as it appeared soap scum was on the walls. Other than those minor things, it was great! We loved the smart TV’s with so many options! The kitchen is beautiful with everything needed to cook. Our most favorite thing was the balcony with ocean view :) We sat out there every morning to drink our coffee. The door from living area going out to the balcony is awkward and tight lol We used the sliding door off the bedroom since it was much easier to work with. Being so close to the beach was awesome, and the boardwalk was really nice! We took our own bikes, so we rode on the beach and on the trails every day! So fun!

We absolutely loved this place. Perfect size for the two of us and was very clean. Most of the "little things" were already there and the only thing we really needed at the store (Harris Teeter) was food. Travis was a pleasure to deal with and we're hoping to return next year.

Fabulous Oceanfront Condo in Paradis
The condo lives up to all the previous 5-star reviews. The view is stunning - lovely foliage with waves crashing in the distance. The furnishings are stylish, and the furniture and bed are cosy and comfortable. The condo was equipped with everything needed for a relaxing, pandemic stay. We ate most of our meals in, and had all the equipment needed to prepare them. In the evening, we enjoyed eating on the deck. Travis stocked the house with the small things that make a big difference - appliances, starter products, and even a lightweight vacuum so the floors could stay clean and sand-free. The building is very well-run with an efficient elevator, stairs and trash room right across the hall from the unit, an excellent washer-dryer down the hall (always available when I needed it), and shower station on the boardwalk to clean off sand.
Travis is a super, super-host. He quickly responded to messages and inquiries, and allayed our concerns as Hurricane Isias was approaching the States. We had a special request due to the pandemic circumstances, and Travis went out of his way to assist.
We found our favorite place on Kiaiwah, and hope the condo is available for years to come.

Vacation 2020
We had a great time. The villa is really nice and the beach is beautiful! The landscaping from the deck is gorgeous and you have a nice view of the ocean. Look for the deer while you’re there. Twice one paid us a visit. It stood below the deck and we fed it carrots! We had a great breakfast at the Kiss Cafe. We also had a great meal at The Charleston Crab House near the Charleston City Market. (You have to visit Charleston during your stay. It’s only a short drive away.) The Wild Olive is another good place to eat off the island. If you want to rent bikes do it in advance. They were all booked up when we decided to rent some! Everyone is going for a bike ride!
