About this cabin rental
Located in Maggie Valley, this attractive cabin for $179 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a family fun vacation, Linger Longer Too, can provide you with an elegant home base, to relax, yet still be centrally located to all that Western North Carolina has to offer. This custom built log home has been constructed on a ridge to take in the most fabulous views and night skies that seem to go on forever. There's no better place to leave the stresses of everyday life behind and relax in a gorgeous outdoor setting. The large back deck with table and gas grill provides you with a fabulous outdoor dining experience (weather permitting). The cabin has been tastefully decorated with your comfort at the forefront of our design ideas. Our aim is to think of everything, you'll need to make our home, yours. The entry floor has two bedrooms one with king bed and the second bedroom has a set of twins. There are two full baths, family room and kitchen along with access to the back deck. The downstairs has one bedroom with king bed, full bath, pull out sofa bed and game area with pool table. The driveway can accommodate two cars. Location, Location, Location! Within fifteen minutes you can be at The Maggie Valley Golf and Country Club. Within five minutes you can be at The Cataloochee Ski Resort. Downtown Waynesville and The Blue Ridge Parkway are all a short drive. Within a half hour, depending on your destination within the city, you're in downtown Asheville. Come to Maggie Valley, where you will find small town main streets, a thriving arts community, eclectic dining and the grandeur of the highest mountains in the east.

This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. The cabin is beautiful, well stocked and maintained. The location is excellent. The cabin is easy to drive to, and once you are there, you don’t want to leave. The views from the back porch are glorious, and you feel like you are miles and miles from anyone. But you can be in town for necessities in less than 5 minutes one direction, and at the ski slopes in less than 10 minutes the other direction.
Two thumbs up to the owner, who is easy to reach and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would gladly come again.

Amazing cabin, we came up from Atlanta to ski for 4 days and this cabin was perfect. On the same road and a short 9 min drive up the hill. The cabin was so clean and perfect for the 7 of us. Just to address another review yes, it is in a small neighborhood, and you can see the town but above the town are beautiful views of the mountains and the location can't be beat!!!!

My family and i took my husband for his 40th birthday as a surprise trip. It was a very nice place. Mrs Norma answered all my questions. The only thing i wish was it had more parking room. No worries though, the town hall allowed us to park there once we went in and received permission.

Property is 100% as described. It gave us a warm feeling and made our stay very comfortable. Location is perfect, very close to the ski resort and restaurants / grocery stores nearby. Owner provided detailed and clear instructions and guidelines before our arrival, thank you owner for that. We didn't encounter any problem during our stay so communication with owner was not tested :P
Anyway, it's a great experience and we are happy that we made the right choice in picking the right lodging.

Nowhere in the description does it show the cottage in a subdivision or next to a 4 lane highway. Traffic can be heard at all hours.

We enjoyed being able to get to the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains, to drive to Asheville and other towns all in under an hour's drive.

Great place in small quiet neighborhood of about 10-12 homes. Very clean home with great summer view. Easy place to relax with all the amenities you would need on vacation. Not high up a mountain so access was easy with a trailer and motorcycle. We loved it and would certainly come back again and “Linger Longer”!

First, this is NOT our first rodeo. TWO MAJOR ISSUES: 1)There is no welcome packet, which would make life so much easier for the host, that she would not have to bother "repeating" what was in the email as to how to access the internet or any other questions that are laid out in plain site for the guest to read. Instead, she sends emails with the payment, and by the exasperated tone of her voice, this is a common issue many of her rentals. Her rules are taped up around the cabin in drawers, on the back of a cabinet, in her email, on the refrigerator, etc. And the "rules" are stated more as threats than actual rules. You will be charged if....there are spots on the carpet. The carpet is COVERED with stains! You will be charged if the pots and pans have any nicks in them from utensils. The pots and pans are practically unusable because they are so old. They used to be non-stick and you wonder what is leaching into your food. But you will be charged....You will be charged if furniture is moved. Just threats. Which leads to my second huge issue.
2) NO PAPER PRODUCTS. THAT INCLUDES SOAP. First, it makes you wonder just exactly how clean this cabin is. When you come in with your pet after traveling an entire day, you might have to go to the bathroom BEFORE you go to the store. Well be prepared to be primitive in that regard. There is literally NOTHING to clean yourself with. Saves the host money, makes the guests wonder just exactly how clean this place is. It is a money grab from the host that they don't supply soap or paper products. BTW, that is NOT disclosed until you have signed and paid. It made me start wondering about whether this cabin is as clean as stated. I started reading the advertisement again. It says that the towels and sheets are washed and sanitized at 140 degrees. Except the hot water is turned so low that you have to use full hot water to get a hot shower. The dishwasher runs with the same tank, which segues into the dishes that I had to rewash many times.
They were sticky and had food dried on them. THERE IS NO DISHWASHER SOAP. The washing machine would have to have a boost cycle or a sanitize cycle. It does not. I have the photos. Which means the washing machines and dishwasher, (with no soap) are not being cleaned as advertised.
Finally, this is NOT a secluded cabin. The neighbors are so close, that we know the names of the neighbors. It is a neighborhood.

Loved the layout of the cabin. Close to everything. it is a very close subdivision of log homes. once inside it is private with nothing in the back yard but a view. aging home but OK to stay in. Linen and kitchen very clean. nice furniture.

The cabin was great. The view was spectacular. We even had an Elk in the yard. The kids stayed busy playing pool in the evening. Explored waterfalls in the area. Enjoyed the best restaurant (The buttered biscuit)

Short but enjoyable visit to the mountains
This property is in a quiet neighborhood very close to Blue Ridge. The main reason we selected this property was that it is pet friendly. Also you could easily stay on one level without climbing stairs…which isn’t easy to find in the mountains! The pool table and downstairs did provide a nice area for entertaining. The owner was very responsive to any questions or issues.

Magnificent Views
The views were amazing. we loved sitting on the deck having our coffee in the morning and just taking in the beauty around us. The beds were very comfortable and our hose thought of every little detail including night lights and all the bathrooms and dispensers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Norma always responded to our needs or questions promptly. The location of the cabin was perfect for visiting these beautiful mountains!

Linger Longer Too
This property was perfect for us. Five adults, two children and dogs. Cabin was very clean and had ample linens. The cabin has a great view from the rear deck. Easy access from the Highway. We would definitely stay here again.
