We had a great time. Our crew included 2 couples upstairs and downstairs were more family members. It was nice to have our own space for dowtime, but also nice to be able to enjoy each other in the backyard or share meals together in the downstairs kitchen. We knew that the washer and dryer cost , but was still a little inconvenient. We used the dock for our boat and that was a super plus. I took a walk on the beach everyday, it was very close just as described. The outdoor shower was great and we played the corn hole game that was there. The neighborhood was nice and friendly. Overall, this was a great place for our family to hang out and be close to the beach and also be able to enjoy our boat with little hassle. However, I do not know how it would be to have to share this property with others who we did not know. If you are in the backyard enjoying the amenities, it is more than likely that you will be hanging out with the other floor’s occupants. This doesn’t have to be a negative thing, but if you aren’t a social person or are expecting privacy, you will more than likely have to interact with whoever is on the other floor at some point or another. Remember to bring linens and towels. We would definitely visit this property again.

Cozy, great dock and just a walk to beach and General store

Location was phenomenal. The property owner was very communicative and checked in with us beginning, during, and end of our stay. There were bicycles and kayaks and beautiful dock to enjoy as the home was on the inlet waterway! We chartered a private fishing trip and the property owner did not mind the captain picking us up at his dock. Throughout our trip, the property owner was very accommodating to our needs. 100% recommend this VRBO.

If you're looking for budget friendly, easy check in, and responsive hosts, this is your place! If you've rented on Holden Beach before or any family friendly beach for that matter, then you're probably familiar with the "feel" and the amenities a rental like this has to offer. The owners are very friendly, down to earth, and most of all, kind! The house isn't the Ritz Carlton, but it isn't an Econolodge either. It is a slightly older yet average beach home. Most pots and pans didn't match, nor did utensils. But pretty much everything you could need is there. When we spend a week at Holden, our rental is primarily a place to sleep and eat with an occasional afternoon reprieve from the sun. Most of the furniture is older and worn. The master bed is quite uncomfortable however, the other bed is new. We almost switched beds with our 5 and 7 year old kids because my back was reeling after the first 2 nights. The bathroom leaves a bit to be desired. Due to the size, you could wash your hands while you use the latrine...lol. The entire house is quite cramped as well. BUT, as I said, it had everything we needed and more. Would recommend for the price!
