About this farm stay rental

This is a 100 year old home of the W.H. Salmon family of Harnett County. The home has been remodeled and sits on 62 acres of farmland. The acreage is currently used for farming and home to the Salmon's horses. The interior of the home is very comfortable but this is a place that you'll find peace and relaxation wandering the farm or taking in the sunset on the deck. A great alternative to a hotel or simply a wonderful place for a weekend getaway. The farm sits just Southwest of the town of Lillington and is 15 minutes from Campbell University and 20 minutes to Fort Bragg. Raven Rock State Park is within 10 minutes of the Farm. This property was a beautiful retreat for us! Our host, Darrell Salmon, was welcoming, friendly, helpful, and available. We really felt transported to a lovely, private, comfortable home with a gorgeous yard surrounded by horses on one side and farmland on the other. In the early morning, we heard songbirds, along with a hawk and woodpecker in the distance. We were delighted to be near Raven Rock State Park, where we enjoyed hiking to the impressive Raven Rock alongside the Cape Fear River. We hope to visit again very soon! Thanks very much, Darrell!

My husband and I, along with my mother, stayed at the Salmon farmhouse for a long weekend to visit our kids and grands who live in Sanford. Oh, we only wish we would have found this spot 8 years ago when our kids were posted to Fort Bragg! The location is perfect, the house is extremely clean and well-maintained, the property is beautifully landscaped, and Darrell, the host, is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is supplied with everything you might possibly need---from dishes to cookware to paper products and staples. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on!Darrell also met us at the horse pasture and let our grandkids get acquainted with the horses. They loved it!If you are in the Fort Bragg/Lillington area and need a place to stay, pass on the hotels and contact Darrell. You will have a wonderfully refreshing and peaceful visit.
