About this house rental
Nestled in Big Bass Lake, this lovely house for $508 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This 5 bedroom lakefront home is in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. It has the feel of country and only minutes away from year-round activities including skiing, water sports, golf, casinos, historical sites, fun parks and much more. This 3 level home comfortably sleeps 12. The key features of this home are a sweeping cathedral ceiling, wood-burning fireplace, air conditioning, outdoor hot tub, barbeque, private beach and dock, a canoe and a rowboat. Wifi has been upgraded to 300mbps. A water softener has been added to make each shower or bath especially enjoyable. There are blackout curtains in each bedroom for those who like to sleep late. Each room has its own thermostat for your comfort. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You will see breathtaking views from the 700 square foot deck overlooking our 100 acre lake, as well as from the 8 1/2ft Dining Room table, loft, the dock, and the screened in porch. This property is in Big Bass Lake, an award winning, gated, recreational community with its own security. You’ll be within a 3/8 mile walk to the family picnic area and private beach. The community has many amenities, including an Olympic sized heated outdoor swimming pool, splash pad and an indoor pool, clubhouse with games and an excellent restaurant, playgrounds, tennis, basketball, pickleball, a hiking trail, swimming, fishing, etc. Amenity use passes must be purchased for renters age 7 and above only if the amenities are being used. Parking is free. Bedroom setup is: Top floor: master bedroom has a king bed plus private full bath, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and 1 set of bunk beds (top twin, bottom full) with bathroom, 2nd floor (kitchen level): 3rd bedroom with queen bed, 4th bedroom has 2 twin beds with full bath in between the bedrooms; 1st level: 5th bedroom with queen bed with half bath next to it. There is a futon on the mezzanine (top level) and 2 futons in the living room. There is a pull out sofa in the game room with full bed. Renters are required to sign a lease and fill out a BBL rental application. You will be issued a registration number which will make it easy for you to enter the community. NO PROM GROUPS. Renters must be 25 years old. Children with parents/grandparents are also welcome. Maximum occupancy is 12 people.

We wanted a place that would accommodate my wife and I, our children, grandchildren and a dog. The house gave us plenty of room and space to be separate as well.
The house was very well equipped and comfortable and is in a great location. We hope to go back again.

This property was perfect for our annual family vacation with 8 people and 2 dogs. The house was spacious and very clean and well stocked with both kitchen needs and lake equipment. The house was right on the lake which made for easy access. A beach in walking distance made for fun swimming for our kids. We also went on great hikes and visited nearby small towns. We would absolutely rent here again!! The linens service is a must.

We had a great week at this peaceful lake. The house was plenty big for 6 adults and a child - even had an “extra” bedroom. It was clean and well organized with a well stocked kitchen. The lake was great for fishing off the dock or taking one of the boats out. We didn’t swim because of the weather, but the small sandy beach area by the lake was perfect for my grandson to enjoy. Marlene responded to questions right away and communication was great. Would definitely return!

Better than expected and our stay was too short. The home was cozy but spacious with room for everyone all together or off to yourself. I want the lake view for my own!! The owner was great to work with and the home (especially the kitchen) is well equipped for 8-10. Very nice and some great memories!!

We played board games, roasted marshmallows, grilled on the deck, soaked in the hot tub, sat on the dock at sunset, had a fire in the fireplace, played pool downstairs, took the boats out in the water. Just a wonderful time. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, the day we arrived at the rental, there had been a big snow storm & the house had a down hill drive way. It had been dragged with a snow plow, but it was a sheet of ice, so we had to park at the top on the street. However, we had not been there 30 minutes before a maintenance man showed up with his son & poured dirt & gravel over the ice so the driveway could be used. They went out of their way to help us. His son helped my husband unpack the car, which was at the top of the hill. We have a Sienna van, & it was fully packed. Unfortunately, as most of you remember, the unusual big snow fall & frigid weather was during this week of Christmas. Another big snow came after we were there, & of course, the dirt & gravel on the driveway was covered with ice again. We managed with our cars ok. Under the circumstances, the owner did everything she could to make it workable for us. The house had 3 different heating systems, & we stayed warm & toasty inside! We very much enjoyed staying here. I have to say our family of 10 had a lot of quality time together during this Christmas week. Will plan to stay there again. The young people & 2 dogs had fun on the frozen lake!

We had the most wonderful week here with 9 adults and one toddler. The property was very clean and well maintained, nicer than the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked. We had a great time using the canoe and swimming in the lake. It was a short walk to the playground and the beach which was perfect for our almost 2 year old. The adults loved relaxing in the hot tub. Sunsets from the deck and the dock were gorgeous. There was plenty of space for all of us to spend time together or spread out. It was the perfect property for our family vacation.
