Escape to our beautiful lakefront lodge on South Holston Lake, tucked into the gorgeous Holston Mountains and surrounded by some of the best scenery East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia have to offer.
Whether you're planning a summer lake vacation, a colorful fall getaway, a cozy winter weekend, or a spring escape, there's truly something special about this home every season of the year.
Summer on the Lake
Summer is all about the WATER! Bring your boat or rent one nearby and spend your days boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing, or simply relaxing on the private dock.
Cruise the lake, visit nearby marinas, grab a bite at a lakeside restaurant, or head out to Cliff Island, a local favorite where adventurous kids and adults love jumping from the stone ledges into the beautiful clear water.
And when the sun goes down? Head back to the lodge for dinner on the deck, a soak in the hot tub, and a front-row seat to an incredible mountain sunset.

Fall in the Mountains
Fall might just be one of our favorite times at the lake! The surrounding mountains come alive with beautiful autumn colors, making it the perfect season for hiking, biking, scenic drives, and exploring the nearby Virginia Creeper Trail.
After a day of adventure, come home and relax in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, roast some s'mores, or cozy up by one of the lodge's stone fireplaces.

A Quick Note About the Dock
Our family keeps personal boats at the dock, and from time to time we may briefly access the dock to retrieve or return a boat. **We do not enter the home or guest areas and make every effort not to interrupt your stay.** Whenever possible, we'll also send a courtesy message beforehand so you're not surprised to see us.
This isn't just a vacation rental—it's our family's home away from home. We personally enjoy the lodge throughout the year and are grateful to share it with guests when we're away. Because it's a true second home rather than a full-time rental property, you'll find the warmth, character, and little personal touches of a home that's genuinely loved and cared for. We simply ask that our guests enjoy it, make wonderful memories, and care for it as they would their own.

A great place to stay for a large group who wants to experience lake living!! The house was perfect for a large family gathering for our kids college graduation! We rented a boat from painter creek marina and they were awesome! Highly recommend them for your boat rentals. Bethany was very responsive to questions and answered all our questions!! If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, this is the place!

Our host was very attentive and the home was welcoming. Although many amenities were not useable because of the weather and time of year we enjoyed watching the fish jump and the scenery was beautiful.

We enjoyed having a place large enough for 13 people and overall everyone had a good time. There were several things that I would like to suggest that would improve the stay. Most glaring was safety for small kids. There was a closet full of power cords ,electrical panel and internet connections that was not secure in a bunkbed room.. Also there was an opening between two rooms that appeared to once contain a window but was just covered by a cloth. Of course our small ones climbed right through it and droped down into the other room before we caught them. There was a vaping device found in the living room couch. Last thing is that we could not find but one controller and that was the Living room TV. The DVD player in upstairs master bedroom would not even open when tried manually. Downstairs did not function right either. The Door in upstairs mastersuite to the patio came off in my husbands hand and he had try to fix it the best he could. Celining fan had exposed wiring . We just thought overall the house needed a little tender loving care. The kitchen was well equipped :) and the view was lovely
