Located in Boothbay Harbor, this charming cottage for $207 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Delightful, modern, comfortable cottage (two blocks from the Harbor) in the middle of everything yet secluded on a quiet street (address - 16 Summit Rd, Boothbay Harbor Me 04538). Easy walking distance to all the Harbor activities, restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, museums, etc. Footbridge is two blocks away. Rear deck overlooks and has a view of the Harbor through trees for drinking your coffee, having cocktails in the evening, and grilling (bar b q grill included). Gorgeous sunsets! **Walk to harbor and even purchase your own live lobsters, cook in or have them prepared (at a drastically reduced price!) Comfortable large master bedroom upstairs with full bath. Den is spacious, comfortable and includes a sofa/sleeper Fully equipped kitchen with dining and living area downstairs and an additional full bath. 2 tvs, one with dvd; stereo radio also included. Washer/dryer is included along w/ all linens, towels etc. PLEASE NOTE: We have recently found out that the fireplace chimney requires a liner and cannot be used. There is very comfortable baseboard heating. Lupine Cottage is modern, airy, very convenient and PERFECT FOR A SINGLE OR COUPLE. Keywords: Cottage

Charming cottage with shortcut access to Boothbay Footbridge. Comfortable partly covered deck to sit out and enjoy both sun and gentle rainfall. Kitchen utensils, cookware, etc. were plentiful. Would happily stay here again.

The property as described/pictures accurate-Very clean/comfortable. Additional info binder provided for things to know about property/area. Previous review noted ‘rocky’ area leading to front door-Maine has rocky terrain/Boothbay its share. From provided parking spot (looking at cottage is at right) lawn slopes down to front door. There is some uneven rock terrain, but is flattest close to wooden decking at front door. The outside porch wraps from cottage side into back where the ‘view of Harbor’ is difficult-there are tall trees-maybe if no foliage? No matter to us, a very comfortable spot. The “walking path” (from previous reviews) near the property goes “down” partly bumpy asphalt, cement steps, trodden grass, with spotty uneven terrain to lower street that leads to Boothbay Footbridge. Good ‘walking shoes’ suggested as path is time saver-best way to Footbridge and “Walking’ suggested because Boothbay parking areas are spotty. The Lupine Cottage very nicely decorated, The kitchen has everything needed, The 2nd floor bed very comfortable – we didn’t use the sofa bed on 1st floor so we can’t address it. Plenty of linens, Water pressure fine, Bathroom showers are standard 3 foot wide..no extra elbow room. Stairs with railing 1st to 2nd floor, note this is an ‘adult’ property. The ceiling/other fans provided and opening windows were fine for comfort with the weather in mid July. Washer/Dryer very convenient, located at entrance of 1st floor bath. Would return again.

This is a charming cottage. The bedroom is roomy and airy. The kitchen is perfectly adequate and well stocked with kitchen equipment and utensils. It's on a quiet street. It's very easy to walk down to the water. It wasn't more that a 10 minute walk to a great lobster shack. The host was very welcoming. We had one unseasonably cold and rainy day, but the electric baseboard heaters kept the house cozy. There is a really noice porch, which would be a delight on a nice day.

Nice little hideaway, very quiet and private. Location was fine for a little walk into town. It’s an older house but very clean and well equipped except there was no grill and we had planned on having one. We would recommend this to other couples but anyone with mobility issues would have trouble getting in and out of the property since the ground is very uneven and there is no railing for assistance.

Quiet cozy cottage
Having been to Boothbay Harbor before it was the perfect place for a quick getaway. The cottage was perfect. It seemed more spacious than the pictures looked but still cozy. Everything a cottage should be.
The bed was comfortable and a full bath both up and downstairs was a plus. We spent quite a bit of time on the back deck which was surprisingly quiet. Although there are other homes in the area, the back yard is surrounded by trees and very serene. Be sure to read the visitor guide on the dining room table for directions to the public path down to the footbridge. Real time saver!

This is a very nice little cabin a few blocks from the footbridge to the harbor area. Parking around there seems tight so being able to walk was great! The bed may not be quite as large as what you’re used to, if you have a King size at home. Overall it’s a great place to relax at and explore the area from.

Lovely cabin, great location

Great location for Boothbay Harbor, Me
Nice comfortable home for a couple. Older cottage but, in good condition. Needs a little TLC and maybe new stove as front left burner did not seem to work. We enjoyed ourselves.

Charming weekend getaway
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The interior is quite cozy and the cottage is on a nice quiet street with friendly neighbors. Boothbay is quite lively while beautiful and of course Maine in the summer just can't be beat.

Charming Cozy Cottage
The Lupine Cottage was Wonderful. It has everything you need ,plus tons of charm. My wife had never been to Maine and she fell in love with Boothbay Harbor. Food was great, Ice Cream at Down East Creamery was awesome. Al is a Wonderful host, Thank You Al for letting us enjoy your beautiful home. We will be back!

A delightful experience, walking distance to The Harbor!
The cottage was clean and had all of the amenities that we needed! The peaceful, shaded deck was perfect in the morning and evenings to relax with coffee or a glass of wine! It was a heat wave when we were there, so the cottage got warm, but between the provided fans and the fan that we brought, it was comfortable for sleeping at night!

Cottage in dire need of maintenance and repairs. Two stove top burners faulty. Only two of nine down stairs windows have screens. Lots of peeling paint and rotting exterior wood. Washing machine allows only 12 inch clearance to reach toilet. Burnt out range hood down light.

Wedding Anniversay Getaway.
My wife had never been to Maine before. It was a complete surprise to visit both the state and stay at Lupine Cottage. She was ecstatic, at what I had arranged.
I have stayed at Booth Bay Harbor a few times previously, but not for quite a few years.
The pictures do not do the Cottage justice. It had a great energy inside to it. Absolutely perfect. Nothing needed to it, and nothing to comment negatively about it. Just perfect for us.

A whole lot of wonderful packaged in a cozy cottage!
Warm. Inviting. Cozy. Charming. All aptly describe this wonderful cottage. My husband and I stayed here for 5 days in early September. Everything one could possibly need is provided. The cottage is well furnished and has modern comforts while retaining its charm. Fully stocked kitchen - including lobster crackers and seafood picks in the utensil drawer - essential for a stay in Boothbay! I was pleasantly surprised to find two full baths, laundry facilities, and a very spacious bedroom suite. Televisions with cable service both in the living room and bedroom. But my favorite feature had to be the sweet deck with two rocking chairs and a bistro table facing the harbor. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner out there every day! Al is wonderful to work with. Why pay B&B or charm-less hotel prices when you can stay here for half the price and have the cottage to yourself? I have noticed other reviewers have left negative comments about uncomfortable furniture. We did not find that at all. We live in Aroostook County and enjoy visiting the coastal region at least a couple of times each year. We will definitely stay here again.

The location was good. The cottage was outdated. The bathrooms were not user friendly. The stairway
going upstairs was not to building codes. Very scary! The furniture was too low and not very comfortable. Last but not least the overpowering smell of mothballs was throughout the cottage.

Great Location
If you are visiting Boothbay Harbor and the surrounding area Lupine cottage is very accessible. The kitchen had everything we needed and Al was great to work with. Our only complaint is the bedding, this is a full size bed, with a very stiff mattress, neither of us slept very well. The other minor complaint, is the bedroom, during the spring and summer months gets VERY early day light, I am talking 5am and the window blinds do nothing to address this.
A bigger more comfortable bed and black out blinds or curtains would have made this an ideal stay.

Cozy and comfortable
Cottage was cozy, comfortable and an easy walk to town. Kitchen was well-equipped. We had lobster twice and found everything we needed. It would have been nice to have the fireplace usable as it was very chilly while we were there, but heat worked well.

We stayed at Lupine Cottage for our honeymoon and it was incredible. The walking distance to the harbor was a real highlight for us, as it does get busy there. The cottage was incredibly clean, smelled great and was the perfect size. I can't wait to boom this property again!!

We had a wonderful stay in Al's cottage. The cottage is situated within walking distance of the major attractions in Boothbay Harbor. The outside deck was perfect for watching the sunsets. We enjoyed making lobster dinners right in our kitchen. It was a great week, and we'd recommend this place to anyone.

Great Vacation at Lupine Cottage
The location of Lupine Cottage was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed
walking the footbridge over to the harbor and loved the deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Since we were busy exploring the area throughout the day it was so nice to come back to this very comfortable and quiet home. Lupine Cottage is equipped with everything needed for a great vacation. Loved the Botanical Gardens, BlueMoon Cafe, Down East Ice Cream ( going to miss that treat) and Port of Italy ( superb dinner
there). Al and Angela are great and very accommodating and easy to work with. Thanks for sharing Lupine Cottage with us.

Awesome Week Getaway
Wow, Lupine Cottage was fantastic! Great location. Perfect for 2-people. Super clean. Very comfortable and modern. The owner is WONDERFUL to work with! My husband and I took a weeks vacation, which very much needed, and this was the perfect place. Loved the footbridge into town. Boothbay Harbor is very picturesque. Local food was great. Being able to go to the waterfront to get fresh lobster to cook ourselves....what a treat. Loved the quietness of sitting on the deck. The area is very safe and welcoming. Will rent again, in the future!!! We both highly recommend renting Lupine Cottage to everyone. Thanks for the great week!

Charming cottage in a nice location
Lupine cottage is a nice, comfortable home within easy walking distance from the harbor, shops and restaurants. The owner was easy to communicate with. I would encourage him to use VRBO for payments, though, as having to mail a check is a rather outdated method of doing business. I will say, though, that the deposit refund check came very quickly in the mail and seemed to arrive even quicker than did a VRBO credit for a stay at a different property. It would be great if a few trees in the backyard could be cut down for a better water view, but we understand that may not be possible and then the rent would probably go up! The location is nice because while close enough to walk to most everything, it is remote enough to be quiet when you want quiet.
