Situated in Toro Canyon, this charming house for $757 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Photos LoonPointCottage then DOT then COM Nestled in the Carpinteria foothills, only feet from the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club and a bike ride from the beach, Loon Point Cottage offers a central location to year round fun and adventure. Immaculate Cape Cod style & upgraded with a chef's dream kitchen. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home appeals to beach lovers and polo enthusiasts alike! Steps from the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club A short bike ride to the beach Conversation fire-pit, fruit trees DVD, WiFi, Xbox game station, Movie streaming & more Daily songbird wake up call We have our full-time tenant in the front guest house/converted garage. Those entrances are marked with "Private" signs. The tenant has 1 vehicle space in the driveway: in Parking Space #2. They are not responsible for the home in anyway and have their patio area divided off next to the outdoor laundry structure. The laundry structure is the only shared space. The tenant DOES NOT use the back or side yards.

We felt immediately at home when we walked up the path to the door and entered to find roomy, comfortable surroundings with a fabulous backyard! Our host Lisa was available with a few questions we had, too! I'd return here . . .and with little kids - all was suited perfectly for them!

My wife and stayed here along with 4 adult children and 1 spouse to attend the wedding of a 5th child. The venue was nearby, so this was perfect for staging the event with plenty of room for people to drop by, change after a long drive, or catch a little break from festivities.
The house is larger than it appears and prettier than the listing photos. Roses and hydrangea were blooming in the front yard and mature greenery kept the backyard quite private. The kitchen is huge and very well-equipped for cooking, baking, prepping or serving. The bedrooms are large and bathrooms expansive. The back yard is the show-stealer--dining area and sitting area with umbrellas, fire pit, ping-pong, huge children's gym set and a large hot tub which is the cleanest one I have ever used in a rental!
Lisa was super prompt and questions were dealt with immediately. The price is very fair--we consider it a very good value. It is luxuriously comfortable for 6 adults; hide-a-beds and a roll-away would make it possible for 8 or 9 with just a little squeezing together. We were very pleased with our entire stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking in this area.

The floor plan of this home is so well thought out. Plenty of room everywhere for a family to spread out, Kitchen is spectacular, bathrooms have plenty of counter space and mirrors. The back yard is so relaxing. I will definitely return!

Loved all of the nice home touches - super nice kitchen, beach chairs & equipment, bicycles (didn't use them), spa, beautiful yards, and very family friendly.
Host Lisa was very responsive and informed us about things in the area. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend this home!

Lovely living space. Wonderful kitchen for hanging out and entertaining family. Some indoor and outdoor toys and books for kids (thank you!). Backyard is a dream come true for moms. Playground, sand, ping pong table & secure jacuzzi with pagoda/cover & lights (great place to relax after kids are put to bed!).
Ideal location 5 min drive to Padaro, Butterfly, Santa Claus & Summerland beaches. Summerland also has a grassy park & playground above the beach! Unfortunately, the oil rigs have resulted in inpleasant odor along beaches & sand has a bit of oil sheen to it. We enjoyed a short walk on the beach and opted to avoid beaches due to this. Such a shame for such a beautiful area. Apart from beach condition and traffic noise - only heard from backyard, this is a little piece of paradise.

Very comfortable and clean home with beautiful kitchen which was easy for all 9 of us to hang out for meal prep, enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit , nice yard for our dog

So grateful to find a place that is kid friendly! My son spent all his time playing in the backyard, and the inside toys were such a pleasant bonus. There were multiple bedding and seating options for any age combination you might have in your family. Even with all the kid stuff there was plenty of opportunity for the adults to enjoy the elevated space. Definitely something for everyone here, we’ll be back!

Overall this was a fantastic property that had everything that was needed. For a large group (4 adults and 5 kids) we had plenty of space and everything that was needed to cook / keep the kids occupied.
In addition to a great house, the backyard was spacious and having a swing set and ping pong table was a huge plus for the kids. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in the area!

Our son on April 1st married his forever love and we stayed at "Our" private gateway It was AMAZING zero complaints. We had just moved from Summerland and I knew we would need a home this place was perfect on so many levels. As the mother of the groom, it was important to have a comfortable space for our family to welcome our son's bride and her family along with extended families that traveled to celebrate Harrison and Caitlin.
We hosted a Friday Shabbat dinner with the two families before the Welcome party at TopaTopa in the funk zone and we had difficulty with the oven. Lisa and the owner were extremely helpful, accommodating, and sincere. I am confident the problem has been addressed.
We look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it

We stayed here with my sister and her kids plus my parents and my family to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday. The house was immaculate and comfortable for our group including kids ages 9-17. The hosts have thought of everything. The kitchen is well stocked, backyard is fun and entertaining, perfect number of towels and super comfy beds. We had a wonderful weekend and loved having this house as our homebase while we explored Santa Barbara and Carpenteria.

This Carpinteria home was everything my group needed for a fun weekend in Santa Barbara. Lisa was incredibly helpful and flexible in letting us change dates due to the recent floods in the area. She also worked quickly to help remedy some small damage that occurred during our stay. We very much enjoyed our room arrangements and every one slept comfortably. Our only regret was not staying an extra day to really make full use of the property’s jacuzzi, fire pit, and beautiful kitchen. We found ourselves out and about most of the time!

I stayed here with my family and couple of dogs over Christmas. The place was fantastic and Lisa was great to work with. The yard was huge and the hot tub worked very well. All in all I would definitely recommend!
