About this house rental
Nestled in Wakefield, this attractive house for $450 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Bring your family and get ready to reconnect. Relax while the kiddos enjoy abundant opportunities for outdoor fun. Peaceful, year-round home with 100' private, direct lakefront and 24' dock in wooded lot on Lake Ivanhoe. Hear the loons and enjoy the wildlife. Great fishing lake. Relax from the deck, dock, new screen room, raft, or child-friendly, walk-in sandy beach. Open floor plan with windows that overlook lake but are surrounded by trees for natural privacy, and perfect southwestern exposure. New dishwasher, new gas stove, new refrigerator and new furnace. New windows. New wrap-around deck. Newish hardwood floors, working fireplace. Ceiling fans in main room and bedrooms. King bedroom and two twin bunk beds upstairs. Rest of lower level has third bedroom with king bed, and a large TV room with two sofas and half-bath, and walk-out to lake. Gas grill, fire-pit with 6 chairs and free super-high speed, gigabit Wi-Fi inside and outside. Town with welcoming restaurants and full supermarket is 5 miles away, Wolfeboro is 20 minutes and North Conway & White Mountains are 45 minutes. Enjoy nature and the slower pace from a comfortable home! Guests have shared many positive reviews of how peaceful the property is, and how secluded it feels. The property is not a good fit for someone that is not comfortable with an older home and its nuances. It’s a rustic, low-key , 50-year old lakefront home surrounded by trees, chipmunks, insects, etc. It's a well-loved place enjoyed by many families--some of the same families over the years because it's relatively upgraded, clean, and has great, private waterfront. It's still a campy NH place. The kitchen is open concept but on the smaller side with smaller stovetop and frig (bar frig downstairs). If you are seeking a different experience, or have questions, please let us know. Owner is responsive, reasonable and courteous, but high-maintenance guests are not a good fit. Recent upgrades and enhancements • 2023 new 16x20 deck with screen room and cushioned, outside seating for 6. (picture coming soon) • 2023 added doors to the outdoor shower --of course with hot and cold water • 2023 new curtains in main room and floor runners • 2021 new windows • addition of two kayaks: two-person and a one-person • new deck • new outdoor lighting--dimmable or bright • Restored seats for existing canoe and rowboat, new paddles and oars--5 total watercraft including paddleboard • Two separate dining areas--enjoy 6 seat picnic for family meals on the deck, but still be able to getaway for a bite at lakefront • Additional seating and lounging furniture lakefront • More outdoor games: horseshoes, ring-toss and cornhole • New glassware and dishes • New set of Cuisinart pots and pans, including lobster pot • Simpler control of Sonos indoor and outdoor music system • Simpler TV control --all 3 bedrooms and both common rooms • Completed landscaping for completely walkable lakeside area • Crafts for the kiddos NOTE: cameras are used in the driveway and inside utility room for safety and in case of any mechanical problems, but there are no cameras in the living area or beach area.

We had a wonderful week at the lake! We most especially loved all the outdoor water activities, simply jumping off the dock, canoeing, and fishing. You can tell the owner is working hard to clean up the property and we appreciated the privacy and lake access. The fire pit and outdoor lighting were also great!
Christians communication was outstanding and I’d highly recommend renting from him!

We spent a week up at the cabin and it was perfect! Location was great!! Loved being right on the lake. The wrap around porch looking out to the lake and down to the fire pit (where we spent most of our time) was awesome! Owner was friendly and cabin was kept quite tidy. Can’t wait to go back!!

Perfect week
We had an amazing week. The property had everything we needed, and we spent most of the time using the provided kayaks and rowboat, swimming off the dock, and sitting by the fire. As others have said, the property feels very private of the surrounding trees, and was a great getaway spot.

We did a little hike on Goat Hill Trail. The house was great because the kids loved the downstairs large tv and couches. We enjoyed the view of the frozen lake and loved eating at the eat-in kitchen table. Overall was great and recommended in the winter but would love to come back and check it out in the summer next time!

Great relaxing getaway
We had a great relaxing week. Our kids loved the private sandy beach, the dock, getting on the kayaks and going around the lake, then making a fire at night.
The place feels very private, surrounded by a lot of trees even though there are houses close by, a perfect escape from the city life. The house has plenty of space, when the kids would get too crazy we would just send them downstairs while we cooked in peace upstairs.
We brought a lot of food with us, but also had no trouble restocking at the seven lakes provisions store down the street. We went to Wolfeboro one day and along the way discovered Bly Farm which has delicious ice cream and great farm veggies. We also saw a number of farm stands in the area.

Beautiful little getaway
This trip was exactly what we needed before the kids start getting back to school. This place had everything we needed and more , we caught fish on the dock kayaked swam had relaxing nights by the fire . We definitely are booking for next summer . Such a beautiful place and Chris was very helpful and also got back fast with questions we had .

The lake house was perfect for our family. It is a beautiful setting on a clean, small lake with loons! It is a quite and remote area. The home is very well-equipped. Our host, Chris was excellent. He was very responsive.

The house is on a quiet end of the lake where we enjoyed fishing, kayaking, sunbathing and swimming. Many BIG bass were caught throughout the week. The kids (and adults) enjoyed the gradual, sandy beach as well as jumping off the raft and dock. At night, the trees were lined with white lights creating a “fairy like” atmosphere. It was so beautiful! We were able to sit fireside on the patio in the evenings.
Although we didn’t spend a lot of time inside, the house had everything we needed (and more). The two king sized beds were more comfortable than my bed at home.
We will definitely book here again soon!

Lovely winter getaway!
We visited Christian's property over new years' and found it to be a terrific, relaxing place to unwind. The views of the frozen lake are beautiful and the house is warm, welcoming and comfortable. We'll definitely be back!

Quiet Escape
My husband and my two adult children and I had a very relaxing experience here at the lake. We traveled to Mt. Washington and Portland very easily from this location. The kitchen accommodated our hearty Thanksgiving meal and the dogs enjoyed a few walks around the lake neighborhood. We were all very comfortable each night by the fire watching our favorite Netflix shows. This cabin is a great find, small on the first level but huge downstairs with plenty of space on the deck or near the fire pit for outdoor hanging. Chris, the host is readily available and responsive if needed. This was the perfect find for our family escape.

I stayed here in mid-November. The house is cozy and warm, beautiful view of the Lake. I cooked every night in the kitchen and had everything I needed. Christian was extremely helpful, communicative and generous. Top ratings all the way.

This house has everything you need for a weekend getaway. Christian was WONDERFUL. Quick to respond to questions and over communicative about the house. He also went above and beyond to return a stuffed animal that my son left at the house.
My family, including our dog, had a great weekend getaway. Highlights included a well built fire pit, gas grill and floating dock perfect for sitting and drinking coffee. The lake is quiet and peaceful. The house was also really well equipped with TVs/internet, which our kids appreciated. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to get away and we look forward to returning.

Just what we needed!
We loved staying at Chris' property. Waking up every morning and being able to have coffee on the dock or the deck was lovely. My kids and our dog were in the water or on the water in a boat most of the time. The house also provided enough space for all of us to be together or take time for ourselves. We also found and enjoyed a nearby hike up Goat Hill and had delicious ice cream in Sanbornville (some of the best we've ever had). Thanks for providing such a wonderful place for the end of our summer.

Loved this lake house
This is a peaceful, private little haven. We enjoyed relaxing by the lake, paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. It is close enough to the coast that we took a day trip to Ogunquit. It was a great place to unplug and enjoy family and the outdoors. Christian is a great host.
