Tom and Shelly go above and beyond to make their home comfortable for their guests. The entire property is immaculate and beautiful and they are extremely thoughtful in terms of amenities. They are also very friendly and did everything to make sure our stay was perfect. We had an amazing visit and it was very convenient to attend a nearby wedding.

We were up in Wakefield for a wedding and found this gem! Tom was an amazing host and the property was perfect for our needs. The pictures do not do it justice as the view of the lake and mountains was a treat to wake up to every morning. Everything was clean, quiet, and amazingly comfortable. I would definitely return again!

We had an amazing time. The house was very clean and organized. It has everything you would possibly need, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils etc. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of space. The beach area is super and the water is crystal clear and sandy with no rocks..

Our time spent renting the Daniels home was thoroughly enjoyed by all. This was a family vacation, and one that we will always remember as it was just perfect. The home was very comfortable and the views of the lake overlooking the mountain was breathtaking. The sandy beach was ideal for small children, and all of the ammenities were comfortable for all indoor and outdoor activities. The home was a perfect family getaway, and we never found the need to leave the home as it was the most relaxing atmosphere. The home was well equipped and we enjoyed it all. We were a family of 10, and everyone had an amazing time and we cannot wait to rent it again. We did rent a pontoon boat locally, and that just added to many sunset cruises along the lake. We loved all of the outdoor games such as horseshoes, ring toss, tether ball, and just taking a snooze on the hammock listening to the loons calling. The eagle was a special treat for us to see although the loons may feel differently. We cannot thank the Daniels enough for created a memory that the Jefferson family will treasure always.

This is by far the best location on Pine River Pond! We picked it for the sandy beach just feet from the house and it didn’t disappoint! The house was great and well maintained and had everything you need for a great week of making memories! Tom and Shelley were great hosts and responded quickly to any questions that we had. Our first impression: AMAZING! And that impression didn't change. Tom and Shelly, the owners, live next door and are the very nicest of people. (I like that they live there--they were completely unobtrusive, but were more than helpful if needed) The house is spotless, and furnished and decorated with care and thoughtfulness. The kitchen is easy to navigate, with shelves labeled where things go. The rooms are spacious, lots of room to spread out or be together, as you choose. There's a cabinet full of games and puzzles.
The beach is sandy, clean and so much fun! Kayaks and canoes are right there, A brand new water trampoline was anchored just as the water got deep enough to jump. The kids couldn't get in fast enough! We brought a disc golf basket and had fun with that. Dry firewood is supplied for the fire pit. We had no problem with biting bugs except for the no see-ums after dark. There were loons in the pond and we even had a bald eagle sighting!

I booked this house as a surprise for my husband’s 40th birthday. It was a wonderful location and waking up to the beautiful scenery of the lake every morning was breathtaking. Our two young kids had a blast fishing, taking the canoe out, and in the boat we also rented. We also had plenty to do from the outdoor games/toys and indoor games. If we are ever back in the area we won’t hesitate to book again. Tom was always extremely kind and helpful as well. We loved our time there!

The house was just what we needed. We traveled with some friends and preteens. They kids loved going out on the water. They even tried when the weather was not so cooperative. The house is lovely with the sandy beach, dock, and canoes/kayakes. The fire pit and deck we're great for hanging outside and even a live game of among us. The inside was perfect for the kids to have their own space and all of us to have large family dinners. The decor was adorable with a wonderful lake house feeling. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed. It was even close enough for us to visit Portland Maine for a couple of hours. Definitely a cute town and close to a beautiful lighthouse. We cherish the memories we made. Thanks!

We stayed here with a big group for my birthday celebration. The house was very accommodating from outdoor activities to being indoors. The owners are right next door so if there are any problems they can help you right away. It did feel like we were always being watched but they are very nice and understanding people. The view was amazing. From sunrise to sunset there was always a beautiful view. Overall we loved the place. We enjoyed it so much we were sad to leave.

We had a blast. The house was everything we were looking for! It was super clean, and had everything you could think of right there! We were there to ice fish and it was in the perfect location. Tom’s lake house is probably the best rental I’ve ever had. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a place to stay for a vacation by the water. The house itself was just as advertised if not better. Plenty of beds to fit us, a great TV/dining area, big table for group breakfasts and dinners and a kitchen with everything you need. Though we came in November, we lucked out with beautiful weather and we’re able to enjoy the amazing back deck and beach area. With the kayaks and canoe, yard games, fire pit, grill and spacious deck, we were able to stay busy and really enjoy our stay. Tom was available for any questions we had and even gave us some tips for fishing on the pond. If you’re looking for a great waterfront rental for nice getaway then this is your spot. Not a single thing to complain about with Toms rental and I will definitely be looking into booking next year. Amazing!

We just returned from a wonderful and relaxing stay at this beautiful lakefront house. The views of the lake and Mt. Shaw are amazing. The house was very clean, comfortable, with all basic necessities and made our stay very enjoyable. We also had a nice time Canoeing and Kayaking on the lake and spending a cool evening by the fire-pit. Tom is a great host and was very responsive and easily accessible! We would definitely love to stay here again on a future NH vacation.

Disclaimer: this review mainly concerns with my interaction with the host.
Overall, this place probably deserves the praise from other reviewers. However, the host lacks immense amount of empathy and consideration towards existential circumstance. Long story short, I had an unfortunate incident in my family, where my family member passed away. I was undergoing a period of deep depression and sorrow. I had absolute zero intention of making the trip and enjoying the vacation, and I let Tom know one week in advance. Tom immediately replied the next day, insisted that I had to go, because he "would be unlikely that (he) would be able to re-rent". "Therefore, (he) will not be able to honor (my) special request for a refund". He refused to offer any alternative. I found this extremely inconsiderate of him -- I am a host myself and I have been in a situation where certain things go wrong with the tenant, and in no way I would make them travel all the way for just for a vacation. I understand that this is probably the peak season in the area, however, a little bit of empathy would go a long way. I would rather that the host could at least offer a solution, such as forfeit a partial of my booking, transfer it to another person, or delay it to another occasion, just to find myself inner peace during this turbulent time in my family.
Again, I want to make it clear that this has nothing to do with the property itself, but rather the interaction between me and the host.

This was the first time ever renting a house via Vrbo so we were really anxious about unknowns. This was definitely an amazing first impression & experience. Tom & Shelly were very accommodating and helpful whenever we had questions. The house was perfect for me and my husband and our 2 best friends. We were able to spread out and have our own bathrooms but the common areas were spacious enough to enjoy.
Loved having the kayaks and canoe to go out on the lake as a group. My husband and his friend enjoyed the canoe to go out and fish in.
Written instructions throughout the house were also greatly appreciated throughout our stay.

This lake house is so much fun. We only wished that we stayed longer. Great beach access for the kids, and the house had everything that we needed. The kids ages are 3, 6, and 7, and the house was perfect for all. We had a blast using the canoe, and there were plenty of adult and child sized life vests.
