About this house rental
Situated in Mobile, this lovely house for $199 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. My place is 10 minutes from Downtown Restaurants and entertainment. 5 minutes off I-10. Waterfront views. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Recently renovated with high end appliances and decorated in unique artwork and some antiques. Fenced in back yard, perfect for your dog. There is even a small sand beach area on water. My space has four bedrooms, three with KING size beds and one with two twin beds. 1 & 1/2 baths. A spacious kitchen. 1600 sq ft. Complimentary coffee provided. Two dining areas. A good size family room with 50" plasma T.V. and Bose sound system. Large front porch with two swings that looks out over water. VERY RELAXING.... I would not recommend swimming, I would recommend that you wear shoes on the sandy beach area because of debris. Dauphin Island is only about 35 minutes from home with public beaches on gulf.

It rained most of our stay. Cozy and comfortable inside. Good views of the bay. Great kitchen. A welcome home-away-from-home.

This is a great place to stay if you need to be close to down town but don’t want to be so close you have to deal with all of the traffic. We were able to be downtown within minutes. We loved our few of the bay, the sunrises were beautiful. The backyard is big so our dog had a big place to run around and release some energy. If I ever have to return to Mobile for anything, this is where I will stay!

We really enjoyed staying here on the Bay. It was a beautiful view. The property manager was kind and helpful. Beautifully decorated home.

Our overall experience was good. The view was amazing. There was plenty of room for our family of 8. Our only complaints were that the bedding was very dirty in one of the bedrooms. Luckily there was a washer and dryer available to wash the sheets. There was also an excess of dog hair on the rugs in the bedrooms. They just needed vacuumed. My family is tall and some kept hitting their heads on the decor in the walkways, the cornice.
Other than that, good stay. Definitely worth the money. We enjoyed the walking/paths near the house and the friendly neighbors.

Enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Very comfortable furniture and beds- very nicely renovated with many cute decorative features. Beautiful views of the bay. Nice quiet roads to walk the dog while having a fenced in backyard. Had everything we needed. Would want to stay here again if travels bring us back to Mobile.

Beautiful eclectic decor, relaxing bay view and tranquil back yard made our trip to visit friends an great vacation. We ventured into Mobile for dinners and got to spend the a couple afternoons on the beaches of Dauphin Island and Gulf Shores. The front porch was the perfect place to have coffee and view sunrises over the bay. The back yard was a garden of seating to watch our beagles play. Thank you for offering such a beautiful home as a vacation rental.

Very roomy with plenty of places to sit. Clean. Kitchen large enough to cook for a large party. All sorts of pots and bowls available. A/C kept the property comfortable. Fenced back yard excellent for the dogs. We didn't find any paper towels for the kitchen - something that might be added to the welcome message.

We enjoyed staying in this eclectic home. The location was convenient to the attractions in Mobile, as well as to Dauphin Island. Piggly Wiggly, CVS, and restaurants were close by and the neighborhood was quiet. Sitting on the swing, on the front porch, gave beautiful views of the ships and tankers coming in the Bay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. We only had to buy our food. Our small dog loved the fenced-in backyard. We will definitely book this again, if we're fortunate to travel to Mobile again. A home away from home!

Ken’s cottage will always be our first choice when we visit the Mobile area. We were so thankful we could snag it again for a few days respite. Eclectic décor, plenty of room with the teens upstairs and us old folks on the first floor, and a shady, fenced backyard for our two small dogs. Views of the bay…just SO peaceful! Thank you, Ken, for a perfect getaway! We hope to return soon!

The decor was incredibly quirky but artistic. Did a great job of representing the home owners style and what makes Mobile so unique. Enjoyed the thoughtful amenities and attention to detail.

Cute bayfront getaway
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a low key vacation for our 2nd anniversary. I really enjoyed watching the sunrises out on the front porch swing and taking the dogs out for walks along Bayfront Rd.
It was especially nice to watch the fireworks across the bay without having to leave the house!
The only complaint I have is about the cleanliness - there was a lot of dust, dead bugs, etc on the floors and it didn’t appear that the kitchen had been wiped down between guests.
Aside from that, I feel like Ken thought of everything! All things you would possibly need are provided at the house and it is a quaint home in a great location.

He provides great linens, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, dryer sheets. We utilized the two king beds downstairs and they truly provide a great night sleep. We were in town for a wedding at Ft Conde. Enjoyed a quaint little restaurant called Momma's on Dauphin in Mobile. We all enjoyed our food, reasonable price & portions. We had Gumbo, blackened chicken wrap, collard greens, grilled pimento cheese sandwich with bacon jam. Highly recommend Mudbugs. Tried both locations, preferred the one up North. They offer gumbo, husband loved it. Thurs lunch special is fried shrimp & comes with fries for $6!! We also got a shrimp po boy, it was huge and the shrimp were lightly battered & great seasoning. We would like to come back when our weather gets colder. Thanks again!

A Home Away From Home
Well kept grounds, beautiful Mobile Bay view, quiet neighborhood, large bedrooms, many kitchen utensils, large refrigerator. Bathrooms well stocked with necessary items. Very impressed with quick response of owner. All in all, a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Loved the house. Exceeded our expectations. Pictures of house very accurate. Short drive to historic district and the Gulf. Kitchen well equipped and bedrooms with king-size beds lovely for our party of five women. Front porch was wonderful for spectacular views of Mobile Bay.

Perfectly Relaxing
We definitely recommend the Cottage on Mobile Bay! The home is tastefully decorated. We especially enjoyed the work of Grand Bay artist RM Robinson. The beds are super comfortable. The cottage was clean and provided enough space for our crew to have privacy and also enjoy being together. My favorite part of the stay was having coffee on the front porch while watching the sun rise over the bay. Beautiful! The shady fenced-in back yard was perfect for our two small dogs. My husband grew up here and recalled picking mulberries from the tree out back. We would love to stay here again! Thank you, Ken, for opening up this lovely cottage for our family!
