New… PET FRIENDLY!!!!!!From the moment you drive past the many rock outcroppings and travel the serene road to your peaceful wooded retreat, you feel all your worries slowly drift away. The property is located on part of the Ohio Buckeye Trail surrounded by Lake Logan to the North, Cantwell Cliffs and Rock House to the West and Conkle's Hollow, Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave to the South. Step inside your charming log cabin and get ready to lose track of time. You can hike scenic trails during the day on this almost six acre wooded lot and unwind at night in our luxurious new hot tub. Or simply take in a sunrise and sunset view from our wrap around deck. Enjoy the book you've been waiting to finish in front of our cozy fireplace or take the kids on an adventure to find their very own treehouse on one of the trails. Snap pictures of your own private frog pond as you walk around the property. Get ready for s'mores and storytelling at night around the fire pit. When you wake, be sure to sip on a cup of coffee while taking in views from the back deck. This cabin was great for my family including my two young nieces. Great space with all the amenities and well stocked if you forgot to bring any of the essentials. We really enjoyed the claw machine and arcade game in the basement and made good use of the outdoor and Indoor fire places. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting hocking hills!

5 of us stayed at this property for a weekend trip to Hocking Hills. Unfortunately, it was a lowlight of an otherwise fun trip.
Upon arriving at the property, a foul smell was palpable. After walking throughout the house, the smell was worst in the closet of one of the second floor bedrooms. We couldn't tell what exactly it was, but a large amount of baking soda had been poured onto the carpet of the closet in attempt to mask the smell.
We reached out to the owners, who said the property recently had an issue with bats in the attic as a result of roof repairs. The closet smell was almost certainly from the bats and made the adjoining bedroom uninhabitable. To their great credit, the owners were very responsive and refunded us one of the two nights for this stench.
In addition to the bat struggles, the water here smelled strongly of sulfur. Soap and shampoo were in scarce supply. Otherwise the house was pretty decent; the kitchen was well stocked, the frog pond was cute, and the fire pit made for a cozy nighttime hangout. I would not recommend spending much time in the tree house.
This house has a good location to explore Hocking Hills. You're only 15 minutes away from scenic hikes and tasty restaurants.
Overall, I'd recommend this property not be listed on Vrbo until they fix their smell issues. There are much more aromatic places to stay.

Nice house with plenty of room for my family. Kids loved the frog pond and going up in the tree house. We hiked the trails in the back which was nice on the day we didn’t travel to the park. It was nice to have a pack and play and high chair provided though we never found the tray for the high chair. All the amenities we needed were there otherwise.
The few things that could be improved were first the deck. There are a couple holes in one of the top boards of the deck that our kids feet could fit in so I had to try and keep them away from that area. That’s a safety issue and our only real complaint. Minor issues like a lot of light bulbs were burned out and need to be replaced. We had some difficulty getting the thermostat to stay at a set temperature and would seem to swing from too cold to too hot automatically. I had to turn the heat down in the middle of the night. Some of the extra amenities were damaged like the game cabinets downstairs. The main hall closet door was broken too and would come off the track if opened.
Great place just needs some TLC imho and is very convenient for driving to the parks.

This place had something for everyone. We were a little worried when the radar showed rain but they were readily prepared with the arcade games, board games, and cozy indoor space.
Thankfully it did not rain the entire time because getting to explore the outside was fun. We spent several hours at the frog pond laughing and making memories we will never forget.

Everything was amazing- the only thing I could say is one of the arcade games doesn't work and there were no foosball balls for kids to play, but that's not a huge deal and they still had a blast! Coffee on the deck is amazing. The grill and anything you need to cook is provided. Thank you so much/ the kids already want to know when we are coming back!

My family and I absolutely loved this cabin for our weekend stay. Check-in was a breeze and the owners were very communicative with us. The welcome gift on the kitchen table was a nice touch we had never seen before so hank you for that surprise!
The kitchen was outfitted with EVERYTHING we needed. We brought spices and flour with us to cook some meals but this place was stocked with nearly as much as our kitchen. They even had coffee (!!?) The drawers and cabinets were all exceptionally labeled making it easy to find everything we needed for inside the kitchen and outside for the grill.
The kids loved the treehouse and hiking around the back hill. The upper room cabin was a neat little space that would be great to enjoy an evening of drinks or a morning coffee watching the sunrise. Due to weather we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit but the indoor fireplace more than made up for that.
The beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, basement didn’t smell… all in all we love this cabin and can’t wait to make this a yearly stay with friends next time! Thank you for this lovely getaway!

This is a wonderful place for family to stay. Plenty of room, two bathrooms, and a beautiful outside setting. We have been here multiple times because we like this property so much.

Hocking Hills weekend
Our stay was lovely! Well-stocked and clean. Beds were comfy. The property was large and fun for the kids. Our group enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The kids loved all the games and toys in the basement. Close to all Hocking hills attractions. Highly recommend!

We had an absolute great time. Home was beautiful. The park was only about 18 minutes away. My kids loved the games and the outside. Everything was very clean and well maintained. If you have a family it is a great place to stay.

--CLEANLINESS: 5/5. The kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and essential areas were clean. You can tell that cleaning is done routinely, no cobwebs, no dust, etc.
--ACCURACY OF ONLINE LISTING: 4/5. Not everything was as it was pictured in the VRBO listing. Pillows were missing from beds. The listing photos showed each bed made up with many more pillows than were provided. Several of the beds only had the decorative pillows with pillow shams, not regular pillows with pillow cases. Since pillow shams are not typically washed between renters in many homes, I didn't feel comfortable to know if these were clean or not. The listing notes and pictures showed a water cooler and advertised that filtered water was provided. This was not the case for our visit. The water cooler had been removed. Not a huge deal, we just wished we would have known so we could have packed our Brita water filter or bottled water.
--HOW WELL MAINTAINED IS THIS PROPERTY: 3/5. A few things were missing, broken or in need of cleaning, replacement or repair. The kitchen needs a can opener. One kitchen drawer had a broken drawer face that kept falling off. There was no screen in the upstairs bedroom sliding glass door (so thus no way to open a window in that room without letting bugs in). The microwave smelled really badly, possibly like cigarette smoke. The hot tub looked dirty and the hot tub cover had mildew lining the entire inside, which could be smelled from the driveway area.
--LOCATION: 5/5. The setting and location of the property are amazing. The yard and fire pit area were delightful to enjoy with our kids. The close proximity to all of the hiking trails in Hocking Hills was great. We did tons of hiking and loved Hocking Hills.
--GUEST SERVICE / COMMUNICATION / CHECK-IN PROCESS: 3/5. Check in was easy. I did contact the owners about a few of the issues. They were responsive.
--OVERALL: Overall, if you like a "cabin in the woods" vibe, this could be a great property. I am hopeful that they can easily resolve the few issues I mentioned. Until then, it is my opinion that the nightly rate is higher than it should be. We have stayed in many similarly priced rentals that had more reliable amenities and were better maintained.

This was a beautiful home that was conveniently located. Great communication with the owners. Game room and arcade games were a hit. The hot tub was awesome. Expensive but I would recommend.
