About this cottage rental
Nestled in Charlevoix, this charming cottage for $249 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Two doors down from the Mushroom houses!!! Tucked in the center of Charlevoix, a home perfectly located between town and beach. Once you arrive, forget the car! Lake Michigan Beach Park is 1.5 blocks and the heart of downtown Charlevoix is 1.5 blocks! So easy for the whole family to get around, even children and grandparents! More than a rental, this cozy home blends historic architectural detail with today's modern amenities. White plank ceilings, bead board covered walls and original restored floors add character. A new gas fireplace, standup shower, claw foot tub, wifi, cable, Weber grill, and fully stocked kitchen will make it easy to relax! A pretty view, directly across from beautiful Charlevoix library! We want your stay to be peaceful and beautiful. You will have a very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing space with everything you need! A mix of local shop finds with artwork and bedding from Anthropologie :) You'll love the feel as soon as you walk in. Three bedrooms upstairs to sleep seven in beds and a first floor daybed in the sunroom for the eighth person! We offer conveniences like first floor bathroom, washer and dryer, cable TV, high speed internet, Bose radio, fully equipped granite kitchen, new quilts and throws, Tempurpedic mattress for a perfect sleep, portable crib, beach towels, large cooler, huge beach wagon, shampoos, bath salts, and on and on. We think we've thought of it all to make packing light and your stay easy and great! Parking is on the street right in front of the cottage, no driveway. We have a beautiful little front yard with a patio table and chairs to eat outside. The white wicker rocker is on the covered front porch. We also have a side deck with a Weber grill. There are 2 beautiful parks right directly across the street from us at the library! We know how hard it is to plan a family vacation with all the time and research involved. If you are lucky enough to have found any of our cottages in downtown Charlevoix you do not need to look any further. We are our hardest critics (and have a big family to test them out!). From having the cleanest cottages and THE BEST cleaning staff on VRBO to having the most comfortable beds with high end bedding, best stocked kitchens and all around experience, there simply is not a better place to stay in Northern Michigan. All of our cottages in Charlevoix are occupied 100% of the time from mid May to October so please do not hesitate to book (early). We had many instances where guests waited a few hours to book and their week was taken in that short amount of time. Very nice, clean and comfortable place. Check in went well and the house was great. The only issue we had was that the breaker for the bathroom lights tripped a couple of times. Not sure what we had plugged in to trip it but it really was no big deal. Just reset it and all was good.

This property was the perfect location for a girls' weekend away to Applefest. We all feel in love with the house...clean, well-appointed decor and furnishings, and very comfortable. We're already talking about our next visit. Thanks for being a big part of a weekend enjoyed by all!

We’ve been coming to Charlevoix since childhood to visit family. We now bring our littles to experience the joy of the beaches, downtown, food, and enjoy time with our extended family. We’ve stayed in a handful or more rental homes, but this was the best. The location, set up of the home, and host communication made our stay truly wonderful. The attention to details for all ages is spot on. Thank you for the beautiful memories 💕

This house was perfect for our stay in Charlevoix. The location can’t be beat - short walk to downtown and to the beach - and it was so nice to leave the cars parked and walk everywhere. I loved the house! It had everything we needed from a well-stocked kitchen to very comfortable beds. The layout of the house was great for our family - plenty of space to chill on a comfy couch or daybed for a little rest time😉 Thank you to Shawn for being the perfect host - we will definitely stay here again.

We were so pleased with the location of the property. It was short walk, about 5 minutes, to town and to the beach. Our kids loved the library and the library park across the street. The house was very clean.

The layout and location of this place could not have been better for our vacation. We had 7 people, including 2 kids and I liked how they had kids books and games available. Easy walk to town, Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. The amenities are great and there is plenty of space outside to eat and hang out. We are already planning a return trip!

A friend and I stayed at this amazing place for a girls’ weekend getaway. We both loved it! The location was great. The house was very clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfy and the linens were so soft. The fireplace was a nice extra to have since we stayed in November. We both commented how we would love to bring our families there to stay! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here for 10 days. The house truly has everything you need, especially if you like to cook. We had three adult children, their spouses, and a baby with us, and the house was comfortable enough for all of us. The owners are extremely responsive, and welcome feedback! We would definitely definitely stay here again! Great location, walking distance to downtown and the beach, nice 20 minute drive to Petoskey, lots to do! We loved the little fire pit out on the front patio, great place to sit for cocktails or a late night beer or two! Just a short walk to the mushroom houses and beach. The cleanliness was beyond compare, and we have stayed in many VRBO‘s! Kudos to the owners this is a terrific property!

We loved everything about our stay! The location can't be beat, across the street from the amazing Charlevoix library, we watched sunsets at Lake Michigan Beach and walked to the town to enjoy the shopping. The amenities and close proximity to all the gems of Charlevoix were enjoyed by each member of our family ages 3-80. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the area for a family vacation.

The host was so responsive and helpful, and we had everything we needed! the AC units worked great. such a cute house, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. we have three children and they were able to sleep soundly as the house was clearly well made and noises didn't carry. kitchen had everything and more, also tons of games and towels and beach toys. Highly Recommend!

Also if you are over 6 foot then having a ice pack on hand for the couple of head knocks you will receive from the ceilings and doors. But really a great location to everything right across street from library and down the street from the beach and the center of downtown. Would most definitely stay here again.

We needed a house to attend a funeral, sadly. This house was so cozy and well-appointed - it was a perfect spot for our guests to gather, reflect and unwind. When I need to be in Charlevoix again, this house will be at the top of my list.
