Situated in Dauphin Island, this lovely house for $658 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Have your own beach on the bay, great views, and access to the Mississippi Sound at Set Sail! This bayfront home offers lovely rooms with French doors that open to the wraparound deck. Step into Set Sail with its high ceilings, open floor plan, and tons of windows drenching the house with the Island's natural light! Admire incredible views of the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and the gentle waters of the Mississippi Sound (Bay) to the north. The great room offers two separate living areas with the kitchen and dining area in the middle. On the Gulf side, gather around the comfy sitting area and fireplace. On the Sound (Bay) side, you'll find ample sofas, board games, and a brand-new Vizio Smart TV with DirecTV, a DVD player, and a stereo. The functional kitchen offers plenty of prep area for the cook, a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with an icemaker and water dispenser, a dishwasher, a microwave, a range/oven, a coffee maker, a four-slot toaster, a waffle iron, a toaster oven, a blender, a hand mixer, an electric can opener, an iced tea maker, a slow cooker, and all dishes, glasses, pots/pans, and silverware. Four bedrooms flank the home. On the southeast, the Gulf-side bedroom offers a set of bunk beds and a sleeper sofa, with a DVD player/monitor for movie watching - perfect for the kids. The northeast Sound-side bedroom is furnished with a king bed and extra seating. The other two west-side bedrooms are also furnished with king beds and DirecTV. Between the bedrooms, guests will find bathrooms with separate single vanities. One of these bathrooms has a bathtub, and both have a shower. In addition, there is a guest half-bathroom with a toilet and vanity. Each of the four bedrooms has its own French doors that open on to the wraparound deck. You also have a utility closet with the washer/dryer, vacuum, broom, and iron/ironing board. Enjoy the covered wraparound deck with views from every angle. There is a boardwalk to your own private, shade pavilion with hammocks and a picnic table. You can fish and swim right there in your own "backyard." Underneath Set Sail, you will find an additional outdoor living area with a shower, conversation seating area, gas grill, an additional picnic table, and a romantic swing overlooking the Sound (Bay) waters. Linens and bath towels are provided, but you will need to bring your own beach towels. HVAC with ceiling fans are inside and out. Set Sail is graciously stocked with books, games, DVD movies, and music CDs. Parking for four cars is available under the house. If you want to bring your four-legged family members along, Set Sail is a dog-friendly property. All pets must be reported at the time your reservation is made. The Town of Dauphin Island leash law requires dogs to be on leash and properly secured when outdoors and also requires that dog waste in rental property yards, beaches, and public areas be picked up and properly disposed of. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. This house met everything we needed and were looking for. It was clean, and updated. Only negative I could say was we needed more trash bags but that’s it.

The home was spotless and had a very well stocked kitchen. I always travel with pots and pans that I use and it was unnecessary here. The wooden run to the gazebo made it very convenient for transporting ice chests, beach items, etc.. The beach was perfect, nearly private. My family will return to this home in the future!

My family of 7 stayed in this beautiful, well equipped house for a week. Watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets, fished from the shore and floated in the water. Maintenance issues were addressed quickly. Sitting on the deck in the breeze was wonderful as there is usually a breeze coming from the gulf or the sound side. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Dauphin island!

Lovely home great location. What an amazing collection the pillows. Slightly disappointed with performance of washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Heads up, one kayak leaks. We really appreciated the two kayaks. Please replace handle on the foot washer. Really love the design of the foot washer. Just wish it was not Rusty and sharp. Two of the six people using it got cut. Overall had a really delightful stay. Would rent again.

The house was amazing it has everything you need from cookware to towels. The issue is with the cleanliness, it looks clean but the towels smelled like a wet dog makeup on the sheets chip bags under the bed stickers left on the trim above the glass doors pots n pans had stains & burnt leftovers on them. Someone needs to check behind house cleaning to see what they’re actually doing.

Nice location and nice setup; however, it is dated. There were several broken floor boards throughout the house and the bottom drawer of the refrigerator was also broken.

Our family enjoyed the island and the beach. The pictures of the home are definitely outdated as there is a newly built homes and construction on each side now. We ran into some issues with the cleanliness of home. Moldy washing machine which cannot be used, half of deck is falling off home and sagging floors in the home also. We very much enjoyed the outside of this home and hope it will get some much needed cleaning and updates before next guest!

The layout is perfect for our annual family beach getaway! The beach access right out the back is great as well as the large table for family dinners and game nights. This is a wonderful house and we have stayed here several times.

Like this year, the deck that surrounds the entire building now has latched gates added. This was great for our dogs. You cannot beat the location. A must stay in Dauphin Island. The house was very clean. They had hammocks and Kayaks. You need the password to use the Kayaks. You should ask them the password. It was fun. We wish we could stay again. However, the beach has some rocks in the water which can cause serious injuries, so I would advise you to watch out.

The four bedrooms with semi private bathrooms was enough for every person to have their own space. The incredibly large kitchen was large enough to accommodate all of us at one time. The two living spaces worked well for groups wanting to do different activities. We probably spent the majority of our group time under the house. The outdoor living area was amazing for group breakfast and dinners. (We did utilize a couple Thermocell Patio Shields to keep the bugs away in the evenings) If you are vacationing with a big crew, you can not go wrong with this well thought out home!!!

This property is in the perfect location! We enjoyed our own beach, kayaks, hammocks and the serenity that is the island. The house is bueatiful and laid out perfectly. The wrap around deck that is gated our German Shepherd enjoyed as she could play and watch the birds or passerby. Loved the outdoor living area that was out of the elements to enjoy cooking meals and relaxing as well. We loved it so much we extended our stay an extra day. Teresa with Vacasa was more then easent and helpful when needed as well. Thank you for a wonderful holiday away!

The kids had such a great time fishing and on the beach the didn’t want to leave. We packed light knowing beach towels were there and brought extra detergent to just wash clothes at the end of the day! Every local person we met was super kind and you could see the pride they have for the island.
They were moving sand from Ida right in front of the house but that was no big deal. Our boys enjoyed watching all the heavy equipment work.

We had 2 Couples and their 2 kids stay the week - the beach was very private! The house was clean and all bedrooms comfortable and private. The kitchen was huge and perfect for us to cook meals that we got from the local fresh seafood store and from our fishing charter. We loved the wrap around deck that you could see the gulf from front and back. The rental management company was very pleasant - and we had kayaks to use. We chartered a boat from Captain Mike's that was a fun experience! I can't say enough nice things about this place!
