About this house rental
Nestled in Ventura, this charming house for $525 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This rental is subject to temporary occupancy limitations. For more information, please visit www.cityofventura.ca.gov/covid19.econds To The Beach, View From Deck, Sleeps 8 or 10 w/ Guest House 4 Bedrooms in the main house which sleeps 8, and a separate Guest House that will sleep 2 more for a total of 10! 2 full bathrooms in main house and a full bathroom in the Guest House. The Guest House also has a kitchen with a stove-top range, and refrigerator. The Guest House is rented separately from the main house . If you have over 8 people we require you take it and it is $150/night. Under 8 and you may chose to book it or not. We never book with a different family. We also have a 2nd story deck off the upstairs bedroom in the main house with deck furniture so you can relax and enjoy the mountain views while sipping your favorite beverage. There is even a peek-a-boo view of the ocean from the deck! There is a large fenced in patio in the front of the house with a delightful sitting area. There is a seven day minimum from May 31 to Sept 15 . Holidays are 10% more. New years, Easter , Memorial day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, X-mas We are only 60 seconds from the sand! You can listen to the waves crashing from our backyard as you sit on the patio in the Jacuzzi with a glass of wine while keeping an eye on the gas bar-b-q. Our beach is not crowded and LONG, so you can walk along the sea's edge to your heart's content. Within a few minutes walking distance is the Marina Beach park with lots of activities and beautiful views of the ocean and Marina. Ventura Harbor is only minutes away by bicycle or walking, and the Harbor has many shops, restaurants, and boat rentals. In addition, a short drive away or a scenic bike ride is the Ventura Pier, which has a promenade filled with walkers, roller-bladders, and cyclists. San Buenaventura Beach Park is also within walking distance, which is the start of a bike path that will take you along the coast or to the charming tourist town of Ojai. In addition, the city of Santa Barbara is only a 30 minute drive from Ventura. Shops, restaurants, and rentals are all within easy walking distance. In addition to the Harbor, Seaward Ave. is a short walk from the house with charming restaurants and shops. Ventura Harbor has restaurants, boat rentals, cruises, whale watching boats, cruises to the Channel Islands, shops, a comedy club and much more. Downtown Ventura is world renowned for its charming downtown area with antique stores, restaurants, saloons, and theatres. If you are not familiar with Ventura, California, it has a fantastic climate. We booked a stay for 6 nights and Sue made sure everything was perfect! There was even a bottle of wine and some chocolates waiting for us. The spa was fantastic (went in every night) and loved the fire-pit as well. Sunset walks on the beach were spectacular and of course the pups enjoyed being able to run around the yard. We hope to stay again!

The house was very accommodating and comfortable. We had a group of adults playing at the local Throw Down cornhole festival. Every adult was comfortable. We enjoyed the closeness of the beach all the amenities at the house. The owners made it very reasonable to accommodate us for early check-in as we were all traveling out from out of town, definitely on the list for next

We spent 3 nights and loved it- great patio in front and lovely yard in back with hot tub. My friend loved the guest house which we decided to book last minute. Sue was very attentive and responsive and I would love to come back and stay again. There were 7 of us, including my mother and brother from

We absolutely love staying at this home. It is just a few steps from the beach, and we really enjoy being able to get to the beach easily. The home has absolutely everything you could need for a fun beach stay. It was very clean, and all items were in great working condition. This home also has one of the best king-size beds we have stayed in out of all the rentals we have tried. Our entire family loves having a hot tub in the backyard to hang out in when we are ready for a break from the beach. The only way we could get our kids to leave the house when our time was over was by promising to return. That was an easy promise to make!

From the moment we arrived at this house in Ventura, it was clear that the owners have been renting their house for a long time, and are very experienced. There were so many extra towels, blankets, pillows, games, kitchen utensils, and beach equipment like bikes, surfboards, and boogie boards. Some friends of ours stayed at a nearby house and had to go buy the most basic of kitchen utensils, like a cutting board, but we had more than enough. We felt very taken care of. The house and neighborhood are vintage 70s California, with all of its charm. The owners were very responsive when we had a few questions. We were very careful to observe their rules, especially regarding parking, and the neighbors were very friendly and waved at us a lot. There really was no downside at all about staying in this house, which is about a 45 second walk to the beach. Thank you very much for being such a thoughtful hosts.

This was an amazing house, close to the beach. All beach toys were ready for use in the garage. The hot tub was great as well. Owners were easy to deal with and left us great personal notes and gifts upon our arrival. Will absolutely stay here again.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sue’s place on Hanover. We used the boogie boards at the beach, rode the bikes to the yogurt shop, and warmed up in the hot tub. The wine and chocolate welcome packet were a nice touch. Thank you!

We loved our visit in Ventura largely in part to this wonderful rental! This house was well equipped and had everything we needed! It is very spacious and made for a very relaxing vacation! Mike and Sue communicated very clearly with us and were very responsive. We had several guests with limited mobility/handicapped needs but with all the space in the living room and patio, we were able to gather and hang out without any problems!! We had such a great visit and can’t wait to come back!

Our experience was wonderful. The house was perfectly laid out. Lovely outdoor spaces and less than a minute from the beach! The home was very clean and well kept. I was especially impressed by the extremely well stocked kitchen. There was everything you would need and then some to cook a large family meal including lots of glassware and plates. I would definitely rent this home again!

We travel often to LA for therapy for my son and this was our first time in Ventura. What an amazing little town! It was safe, quiet, and super chill! The property was great, loved the backyard, so close to the beach, and an abundance of towels (huge plus!). I would absolutely recommend this property!

We selected this property as a mid-way meeting point for our NorCal and SoCal families. Great property within 2 minute walk of the sand and gorgeous Ventura marina beach. The extra guest house meant family could be close but also have their own space. Close to super-market, and good restaurant options, when we wanted to cook and not cook respectively. Neighbors were honest and friendly. We had some great conversations with fellow dog lovers as we rode bikes to the pier and marina. Honestly had one of the best visits with my family in years. My wife enjoyed the little touches of home and the teenagers didn't complain about the wireless. Hot tub was super clean and upstairs deck super relaxing. A great time was had by all.

Our extended family of 7, including 2 grandkids, spent a lovely 4 days at this beach home. The casita in the back was ideal for our single son, and the house provided a lively gathering spot for all to play games and enjoy meals during a bit of rainy weather. The home and property exceeded our expectations, especially the fully stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet and the nearby beach uncrowded during this holiday week. I highly recommend this property!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house has fantastic beachy touches, gorgeous front, back, and upstairs patios, and comfy beds. The kitchen is particularly well appointed, with good pans and knives and a well stocked set of spices and condiments - all much appreciated. 60 second walk down the street to the beach, and a lovely walk down the beach or the street to Seaward Ave for shops and restaurants. Our family group felt so comfortable here, we cancelled planned outings and just enjoyed the beach and the house. Highest recommendation.

We had 5 adults and 2 kids. This house and location could not have been better. Plenty of space inside and in the yard, steps from the beach, all the towels and beach toys anyone would ever need, etc. Really amazing and the owners were fantastic leading up to and during our stay. Hope to come back.

I've stayed in many rentals in the Oxnard/Ventura area and this is one of the best. A lot of thought and care has been put into this home and the experience that the guests will have. Everything was super clean and very well stocked. The garage is packed with all of the beach stuff you might need and more. The hot tub was an after thought when looking at the pictures, but we ended up using it every day. Sue was very responsive and clearly cares very much about creating a memorable experience for guests in the home. Never wanted to leave. Hope we can go back soon.

The property far exceeded our expectations. The layout of the rooms and the entire home was so enjoyable. The back patio was a cherry on top that we didn't take into consideration.
Not only this, but the host had us covered for everything. Kitchen utensils, plates, pots and pans, etc. The amount of towels for the beach and showering was perfect.
Lastly, there were a few bonus items in the garage that really made our trips to the beach even more enjoyable.

As others have noted, the location just a quick walk from the beach is fantastic. There is also plenty of outdoor space to spread out and with the house and guesthouse we were able to accommodate two working adults and two distance learning kiddos between our beach escapes. Sue was lovely, responsive and gracious. Just the escape from Covid cabin fever, heat and fires we needed. Thank you!
