About this cabin rental
Nestled in Lake Livingston, this attractive cabin for $183 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This two story cabin is situated on 3 grassy lots just feet from a sandy beach in a quiet neighborhood. The lake is shallow off of the beach and is perfect for children to play in. The cabin upstairs is an open plan with 2 queen beds, a bath, and a sitting area with 55" TV. It opens onto a balcony overlooking the beach and lake. Downstairs has a complete, fully outfitted kitchen, laundry with washer & dryer, full bath, and a living area with another 46" TV. Both TVs have ROKU which includes streaming service such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and more (requires your login). Sitting area includes queen sofabed. The cabin has WiFi. Outside there is a covered porch and a large deck that is shaded most of the day, a hammock, gas grill, and large, fenced yard. Also, there are 2 kayaks and a pedal boat for guest use at no additional fee. While the kitchen is great for cooking, there are also a number of restaurants within a short drive. There is a large grocery store 5 minutes away. Property is located between Hunstville and Livingston, both noted for numerous antique shops. The large deck outside sports a gas grill (we provide the gas).

This is a very pleasant home to stay in. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. I enjoyed being right on the water.

Wanted to get away for a mini vacation and this cabin was absolutely wonderful! The hour and a half drive from Spring we enjoyable and scenic.
Check in process/directions were clear and concise. Covered parking/carport was a bonus and kept our vehicle out of the sun.
Unfortunately the water was too low for us the haul the provided kayaks or paddle boat out (not the hosts fault due to the summer drought). Also burn ban currently in effect so no fire pit. We enjoyed the lake breeze and sat on the swing. The party lights set a great atmosphere.
We would definitely recommend and return. Hosts were very responsive to any questions that arose.

My sister and I were looking for a quiet extended weekend getaway. This was the perfect place! Perfect little hidden spot with its own little beach. BEAUTIFUL sunrises. Cabin/house was just right. Not too big, perfectly furnished. Will definitely stay here again.

Adorable cottage on Lake Livingston with options of boats, barbecue & outdoor space. Several dining options in Onelaska & Huntsville. Wash cloths could probably be replaced and maybe give the house deep clean after all the people have enjoyed it for the summer.

My first impression was not a good one. The yard wasn't maintained. Floats & trash laying around from past tennants, i guess. Gas grill cover was torn to shreds. Very unkept place but you know the ease of leasing was excellent and the house was well stocked. I really have no complaints other than the upkeep of yard for my event. I would stay again if it ever rained. The lake was extremely down. Have a nice day! Tracy

The pictures of the rental looked better than what was actual. The house was nice, but the outdoor area was not as nice as described. The yard was unkept and there was poison ivy growing in several spots.

The cottage is as described. Great location.
Very nice layout with an upstairs bedroom that has a beautiful view of the lake. The sandy beach is fantastic as we put our beach chairs and umbrella out each day to enjoy it. Even on the hot summer days there was a nice breeze coming off the lake to cool us off. We went swimming most every day. Other days we took early morning hikes in the Livingston State Park and the Sam Houston National Forest. Also did a vineyard tour.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay!

Watch out for ants in the grass, no and beds, just stray ants here and there but that comes with the territory- we have them all over Texas and they’re bad everywhere due to the droughts so wear shoes! Will definitely come back for a longer visit!

Very relaxing! We did a little bit of everything: laid on the beach; floated on the water; fished; tasted and purchased wine; grilled out; and most of all slept. We did not get to make s'mores because it rained.
We did get a little rattled when a wooden duck crashed to the floor as we were watching TV. Other than that, very quiet!

This was the perfect get away for us this year. The kids loved the beach and we all enjoyed the paddle boat. Exploring the history of Huntsville was fascinating. This area is tucked away but has plenty to offer! Be sure to bring toiletries and possibly an extra life jacket (we only saw one). Great memories were made here!

Quaint lake cabin. Small but spacious. My family of 8 (2 infants), 4 kiddos under 6, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The beach being just yards from the back porch made it nice for us to watch them and still be close enough to let them swim in the water without fear. It’s literally like going to the beach but with fresh water. Very refreshing. The water gradually gets deeper without dropping off making it that much safer. Big thanks to the property owner John for accommodating us and making sure everything was perfect for our stay. I don’t think you could find a better spot for a better price. Fire pit and lights at night were amazing. Gated property made it feel a little more safe as well. 10/10 would recommend for family or just a couple looking to get away for a couple days.

I love property, my family and I enjoyed our stay. My kids had a blast with the paddle boat and kayaks. We also love the private beach and easy access to the lake. The neighbors are super quite and stores are within 10 minutes drive. The only think that I had a slight issue with are the dead catfishthat washed up on the beach.

This was our second time visiting the property and it was as enjoyable at the first. House was clean, well equipped, and perfect for 2 adults and 2 little kids. We played in the sand, enjoyed the paddle boat & kayak, and fished in the cove. We caught catfish and some hybrid bass. Only down side was there was a ton of pollen in the water, but nothing to fault the owners for. Overall a great stay, again.

We really enjoyed our winter weekend staying at this cabin! All the amenities were exactly as advertised, beds were comfy, appliances and TVs were in good working order, the cabin was tidy and clean, no issues with anything regarding the stay. I suppose the only thing worth mentioning for trip planning is that the tap water has a pretty strong mineral taste, fortunately there’s a gas station within walking distance that has basic amenities so we just bought a few gallons of drinking water and were good to go!
We especially enjoyed the sunrises which are easily viewed from the kitchen and upstairs balcony. The fire pit was also great, it was chilly in the high 30’s when we were there but was very cozy with a good fire! It was also easy access to explore Sam Houston National Forest (30-50 min drive depending on which trailheads). The neighborhood was quiet which really gave our stay camping/nature vibes with all the comfort of a nice updated, clean cabin. Overall was exactly what we were looking for and happy to have found such a cozy place to stay.

We had such a great time!! Clean house, everything they stated in the description was accurate. We loved the fire pit, swing, and paddle boat. Beds were comfortable. Roku worked well, good internet connection.

Perfect place to stay for a few days, if you want to get away from cities and love water/beach/kayak. Private beach is a big plus. A lot of books and movies DVDs are there to spend your time. Just a minor suggestion: A few non-stick utensils would be useful for recipes who tend to stick. Overall, a very good experience and highly recommended!

This was an excellent property for the 2 of us to relax and celebrate our 3 year anniversary. It's a very quiet neighborhood and having your own sandy beach was a definite bonus. The breeze was wonderful and listening to the waves did wonders for our relaxation. Thank you for letting us stay at your property, we had a wonderful time.

We stayed at the lake house as a family of 4 with young kids ( 4-6 yo) for a long weekend. It was a perfect stay by the lake: peaceful, quiet and beautiful! Kids loved the beach and the water, did lots of fishing . We would definitely be back!
