About this condo rental
Situated in Port Aransas, this attractive condo for $265 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. A totally remodeled, 3rd floor condo, with no elevator access, has tile throughout this unit. This condo has an open living room and dining area. The brand new kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook your catch of the day. The master bedroom has a king size bed, with fabulous gulf views and the second bedroom a set of twin bunks and an additional twin bed with a twin trundle underneath. The second bedroom was recently remodeled to be a closed off bedroom. There a two full baths, one in each bedroom. Oh! Did we mention the sunrises are amazing! Nestled in the golden dunes of Mustang Island, Beachhead condos all have awesome gulf views. The complex amenities include a heated swimming pool, community charcoal grills, community game room, a playground, and a private boardwalk to the beach. All units have private balconies to enjoy gulf views and breezes. Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only. Per HOA: Before traveling to Port Aransas/Beachhead Condos, please plan the correct number of vehicles you drive in accordance to the rules below. Properly planning the correct number of vehicles prior to your departure will enhance your vacation experience: Beachhead Condos allows parking for 2 vehicles maximum. Golf carts do count as vehicles. It was beautifully updated and clean. Everything worked as it should and we had a wonderful view from the balcony or the master bedroom of the ocean. The condo had pretty much anything you could possibly need. Almost too much, it was my only complaint that it was so well stocked there was little to no room for our storage of groceries if they weren’t refrigerated.It was fine though we made it work and appreciate the attention to any and all needs being met so we didn’t have to run out for random cooking items as we grill out almost every night for dinner on our week stays. Overall very easy text only check-in and out process and felt very safe and private through the entire stay.

The property has walkable beach access, a pool and playground for kids right outside of the building. It was clean and was close to stores, restaurants and bars. I highly recommend you rent a golf cart when in town to get around. The property was quiet and we loved sitting out on the balcony of our unit to take in the ocean views and listen to the waves.

Very relaxing
The property was great. Easy access to the beach from the board walk, or a very short drive down the road in your car or golf cart.
The pool and play room was perfect for getting out of the salt water and sun as well. Easy access to shops and restaurants. If you have small children or adults with issues going up stairs make sure you clarify what level you need on. We enjoyed being on the top floor, but I could see how that could be an issue. We plan on going back and staying at the same place.

We reserved our condo for a 3 night stay. Loved the property and the location until the 2nd morning of our stay we woke up to my car being towed because it was a little to far to one side and even though there was no guest there they were towing my car with the property tag in the window. My husband thank God was able to stop the tow truck driver from taking my car with my children standing outside and my brother I law. A little while later there was a knock on our door it was the property manager and the police demanding that we leave because my husband threatened the manager, which he did not do our children were right there and he would never behave like that in front of them. We were given 1 hour to pack all of our things and leave . Thank God PORT A ESCAPES was willing to move us to another condo for the remainder of our stay. Do not recommend staying here if you have more that one vehicle. They were very rude when the problem could have been solved by just asking us to move my car 2 feet to the left.

Get towed !

Clean, roomy, pleasant decor. Adequate supplies. Nice view. Close to the pool . We were not aware it was 2 flights up. Challenging for seniors. Beach is a hike and found out you have to purchase a permit to take your car on the beach. Grills available if you want to cook out. We used the one by the pool. Nice experience with our grandsons. Our rental was close to the playground. There were some rather noisy guests there till 11 pm.

Wonderful!
Be alert. While the accommodations are wonderful, you can not contact VRBO. It is a computer. Finally contacted the property itself. Condo was right on as advertised which was great. Was surprised that there was 2 flights of stairs to access the rental. Climb to get to the pool, also. Another surprise was Port Aransas charges to park on the beach. Bring a wagon to walk your "stuff" down to the beach. We did have an enjoyable stay.

I've stayed at the Beachhead since 1978, and it's truly amazing that is hasn't changed hardly at all and stayed so fantastic. The pool & clubhouse renovations are really great. We kind of bounce from unit to unit sometimes, but we like this unit a lot. Clean, and the updated kitchen is a plus. I'd say the only thing that needs some TLC is the master bed needs a new mattress.

We had an amazing stay. Easy check in and check out process, the condo itself is lovely and newly renovated. Awesome balcony with partial view of the ocean. The pool was a hit! Most times we had it for ourselves. Only downside was the oven didn’t work during our stay but we got to use the oven in the party area. Would definitely come back!!

Condo was clean. First thing I check are toilets and sheets. We had kitchen utensils for making pasta, pancakes, and basics for meals. Was glad to be provided paper towels and coffee filters and shampoo. Pool is well maintained. Game room looked clean and fun for older kids air hockey etc. Kids love the playground, which could use a few bolts tightened and a baby swing replaced. You can walk down to the beach with little kids and that is worth every penny. Not a crowded end of the beach even on spring break.

This location has a pretty solid view of the water with great beach access. Overall, the room was fairly clean, although there was a lot of sand that was quite literally swept under the rug. Everything else was as described online and we had a great time on the trip.

The stay was alright but the only thing that I was unprepared for was that it was top floor and I and my wife both have bad knees, so going up and down the stairs was a little taxing especially when you have to carry a lot of stuff up and down. Otherwise it was okay.

Perfectly located With a great view. Condo's newly remodeled look was modern and gave it a fresh clean feeling. Boardwalk was a great away to get around the grounds and pool was spacious. The only setback was parking was tight and muddy. This was great but my elderly mother had some difficultly getting up so many flight of stairs
