Nestled in Big Sky, this attractive house for $1,025 per night is a great choice for your next break. Welcome to Low Dog Lodge... LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! You will not find a better ski-in ski-out location in Big Sky. Walk out the door, strap on your skis, and go ski directly to the Thunderwolf high-speed quad lift. Low Dog Lodge is a log home with five bedrooms, a loft, and three full baths. This home has a warm and rustic Montana decor. It is located at the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of privacy and great views of Beehive Basin and Spanish Peaks. It is one of the 'true' ski-in & ski-out homes in Big Sky. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the base of Big Sky Resort with its restaurants, bars, shops, and ski/board rentals. You won't find a better location in Big Sky during the summer or winter. The home is very private so you won't have any problems feeling like you are in the middle of the wilderness, yet close to everything. Our home includes 3 king guest bedrooms (one with a private bath), 1 queen guest bedroom, and 1 bunk room with two sets of log bunk beds that are extra long to easily accommodate adults. There is also an open loft on the third floor that has a queen sofa bed and a big-screen TV. Let the kids watch the big screen TV in the loft using DirecTV or DVDs or they can play some of the board games we have available. There is also an additional TV and DVD player in the comfortable great room on the main level. For a little romance or warmth, load up the large Montana mossy rock fireplace in the great room. We are happy to supply logs because the experience just isn't the same until you get to sit by the fire and talk about the wonderful adventures of the day. The kitchen features a double range/oven, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. The kitchen countertops are granite and the island bar has seating for four, so you can accommodate even more guests for dinner, or sip on a drink and supervise the cooks in the kitchen before dinner. The large dining room table seats 8 guests and can be extended to 10 or more. After a hard day on the slopes or a summer afternoon of hiking, river rafting, or golf, come back and relax in your own private hot tub that seats 6-8 people comfortably. Located on the ground floor, it has a great view of the valley with no homes in sight. We've built a heated entry and ski room on the ground floor. It offers a convenient place to store all your gear and suit up every day before stepping outside. We think you'll find it a great addition to the home. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, head outside to find some of the best hiking and snowshoeing in Big Sky. You're also only a short drive to some of the best golf and fishing that Montana has to offer. The kids (and adults) will love the great sledding just outside and we offer a couple of sleds in the garage so you can give it a try. **Note** Please refer to the ski-in/ski-out access map in our photos so that you can understand the route options to our home and the recommended skill level requirements for each route. **Note** We have recently purchased a new Z71 suburban that is offered as an added amenity for renting our home. We offer discounted rates to all of our guests through Turo. Please ask about renting our suburban when you submit your booking inquiry for our home.

Such a beautiful home and was perfect for our family, we had 11 ppl total. We didn’t try to ski in/out since we had young skiers/snowboarders so I can’t give any info on that. The base of the mountain was only 6 or 7 blocks away so it was more convenient for us to just drive over every morning. We bought our own groceries but the kitchen was stocked well with dishes/pots/pans/paper towels and everything we needed for preparing our meals. The dining room table was beautiful and large enough to fit most of us. The hot tub was a big hit with the teenagers and younger adults and was the first thing everyone would do as soon as we got back from the mountain every day. There was a closet full of puzzles and games that we took advantage of as well. Bedrooms were all comfy and clean and the bathrooms were well stock with essentials which was a plus. The managers and owners were great with all the info that was needed for checking in/out so everything went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again!

Again, our adult children would walk back up to Big Sky Resort for evening beverages. We were very happy we chose to stay up in the mountain as this was very relaxing. We had a few visitors (e.g., a very friendly fox who showed up each day until he learned we would not feed him and a very short visit by a bear). Low Dog Lodge is set up with private bedrooms and everything you need for making meals in the large kitchen and/or grilling on the deck. The hot tub was also a hit. We kept saying how awesome Low Dog would be in the winter with ski in/out! We did not turn on the TV until the last night but our kids did work remotely throughout the week and had excellent internet. Low Dog was very clean and well supplied. Excellent communication and customer service throughout our stay. When we had questions throughout the week and we always received a timely response. There was construction along the street and building in front but to be honest after a short time we didn't even notice this as the mountain views were an easy distraction. We would definitely return to Low Dog Lodge in Big Sky!

Our group of ski friends meets once a year for a big trip and we are so glad to be back at Low Dog Lodge again! This house has lots of room for everyone to spread out and relax. We cook delicious meals in the graciously appointed kitchen. We enjoy the quiet neighborhood all week long. The house was very nice, everything as described. The ski out is fantastic, right down the driveway, a short ride in the road and onto the run to a high speed lift. The ski in is very good as well ( as long as there is enough snow on the road). We had great conditions and skied right to the garage door. Highly recommend!

Our family of 5 adults and 2 kids with ages ranging from 8 to 80 found this to be a marvelous place to spend the week that included Christmas. It felt like being in our home, not a rental. There was a beautiful Christmas tree and other tasty decorations awaiting our arrival. Our 2 sons enjoy cooking with each other and they found everything they needed to work with. The grandsons got a thrill from tending the fireplace. The living area was great for playing Clue and other games available. There was also a quite place for tending to some on-line business responsibilities. We had a bit of a problem resulting from a frozen water line to the outdoor faucet but the owner and property manager were very attentive in getting it resolved. The skiers figured out the ski- out/ ski-in which was very convenient. The pride in making the tenants comfortable was apparent. The ladies thought the vrbo photos did not do justice to the interior.. Thanks for a great family gathering place.

The home is well appointed and stocked with accessory food items that the owners allowed us to use if needed, which we did a few times. The WiFi was very adequate (15-16 mbps download) which handled zoom meetings in the main room, on the deck and even down in the lower bedroom. The satellite tv was excellent and allowed us to watch the Olmpics each evening. The hot tub was wonderful to jump in after a day out touring. Our host was more than accommodating and even checked with us after we arrived to see if we needed anything. We highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed.

Best Ski Vacation Ever!
Location is superb. House was provisioned with everything we needed to cook all meals there and really felt like home instantly. Big Sky lay-out / House location is wonderful making it really easy to jet back to the house for lunch and then head out for the afternoon! With the exception of our day off drive into town, no reason to leave! We hope to book again!
