About this house rental
Nestled in Lake of the Ozarks, this charming house for $195 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This inviting and updated lake front home has much to offer in Captain Ron's no-wake cove. Be sure to check out our other nearby lake houses: #2430667 and #419921. The fully furnished kitchen offers granite counter tops and SS appliances. Imagine relaxing on the deck just feet from the lake with a panoramic view for miles, or in front of a romantic fire in the stone fireplace. Or enjoy our outside fire-ring for your family bonfire! In response to the current public health concerns, we have installed a new UV light system inside our heating and air condition unit that kills germs and viruses. This Lake Home is a smoke-free environment. We ask that if you smoke, please do so outside on the grounds or deck. Please police your trash, thank you. We require you to bring your own life vests for you and your children. The water off the dock is over an adult's head. Our 25-foot, tri-toon Pontoon boat with a 150hp Mercury 4 stroke engine is available for rent to our guests right from our dock. Our lake house is easy to get to and close to everything. With blacktop all the way to the lake home. Great fishing off the dock over our many crappie beds and where bald eagles can often be seen wintering on the lake. Pet: Allowed on a per pet bases. $50 per pet. No large pets accepted. Exterior only cameras on the lake house and dock. Many activities including water sports, shopping, golfing, hiking at one of the many State Parks (We love Ha-Ha-Tonka State Park), Big Surf Water Park and so much more. We are located near the Hurricane Deck Bridge at the 34MM. From our deck or from inside our lake house, you have a terrific main channel view from inside our protected cove! The unique six-sided room fronting the lake is walled with windows-- very inviting and offers a beautiful stone, wood burning fireplace. Home backs to the east and the deck receives morning sun and shaded afternoons! With two separate TV and living areas, this 1,950 square foot home has room to relax. The dock has a swim platform and an area to enjoy the sun!! Terrific fishing around the established crappie beds. Sleeping arrangements made easy with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths plus a bunk room area in the finished lower level. The bunk area has a twin over a double- bunk bed plus another double bed. The family room has a couch, love seat and chair with a TV. You are within walking distance to one of the hottest family friendly spots on the lake--Captain Ron’s Restaurant and Bar features live music, tiki bars & a large sand beaches with beach volleyball nets and swim area. Pirate's Point Boat Rental is right around the point, less than a mile, where you can rent boats and jet skis of all types! Estimated times from our driveway: Wood's Super Store 5 minutes. Outlet mall about 22 minutes. Tons of restaurants and shopping within 10 minutes. Easy directions, just a half mile off Hwy 5, black top all the way! Cell phones work great at the lake house. Terrific for the Shoot-Out and BroStock events at Captain Ron's. Our second and third lake houses are larger and offers 5 bedroom- check them out by googling VRBO #2430667 or VRBO #419921. They are side by side and about 4 1/2 miles by water or about a 7-minute drive by car. Both top quality! Fully equipped kitchen, gas bbq grill, linens and shower towel provided (we do not provide outside towels for beach, boat or dock), laundry room with washer and dryer. A variety of attractions are within a 20-minute drive. Enjoy day hikes at Ha Ha Tonka State Park where you can picnic and swim while exploring the ruins of a real stone castle, a natural rock arch, caves and large spring. On your way back to the lake house stop in Camdenton at a fresh fruit and vegetable market. Bridal cave is also nearby with its spectacular geological features. Enjoy nearby Big Surf Water Park or several terrific golf courses. Ol' Kinderhook GC is one of my favorites and the home of my only hole in one! Tons of shops and restaurants or take in a movie! We have been coming to the Ozarks every year and always stayed at different locations. This place has by far exceeded any place we’ve stayed. The view is outstanding.

The positives can't be easily duplicated. The location in the no wake cove is amazing. The deck is great, and the house overall is nice.
There were some negatives. There is very limited parking as there is just a small driveway to go down to the house crammed in between two other houses. No street parking.
The house smelled musty when we got there and had to leave windows open and air it out for several hours. The outside of the house was very dirty with cobwebs everywhere, walkways needing swept, etc. A lot of the outside lights don't work, so had to be careful walking at night.
The check-in process was confusing as you have to contact a different person when you get there than who you have been communicating with to get a code.
Overall I gave a 4 star, but with a little bit of TLC I would rate it a 5.

We enjoyed our stay at the property which was actually bigger than I had anticipated. The driveway to garage is very steep though. You cannot see the property from the round about at end of cul de sac because the property is set down closer to lake. We were in town for a wedding with lots of family staying on the lake in houses nearby. As a result, we didn’t actually spend much time at the house. The owner had sent an email months in advance of our stay warning us of excessive noise or any such nonsense… this was a little offensive as we are very good guests, but to be fair to owner bad guests can ruin things for future guests and make the owner wary. Consequently, it was just easier to hangout with others. My only other issue was a dishwasher full of dishes - it has been run, but looked it was loaded by a five year old: everything piled, pans with eggs still stuck to interior. So I had to scrub and re-wash everything. So owner might want to have a talk with cleaning crew. But

Close to Captain Ron’s, beach was perfect for our littles. Trip over to Jolly Rodgers for the Treasure Hunt Excursion! Highly recommend! Grandkids loved it, afterwards we enjoyed a fabulous buffet!
Took the pontoon out one day for sightseeing from the lakeside. Went to Margaritaville, and pulled into a cove for some swimming.

The owner and property manager were very quick to communicate, thorough and accurate. Easy check in process. We rented the pontoon as well as a lilypad and 3person tube. That process was smooth and easy and made the stay even better. The view from the property and wraparound deck was incredible and we used it every morning and evening. Beds were comfortable and the basement bunk bed setup was perfect for the younger kids. The AC worked really well and kept the place cool in 95+ degree heat and humidity. The house was well appointed with all of the kitchen supplies we needed as well as spices and coffee filters, gas for the grill and plenty of kindling for the firepit. The location of the property was amazing. incredible views and easy access via boat or car to nearby restaurants and grocery store. the house is on a quieter part of the lake and in a no-wake arm - which made boating easy and made swimming off the dock enjoyable. The neighbors were great as well! This house is a fantastic value for the price we paid. the only improvements I would suggest is that the house was a little musty and that impacted our allergies, and the deck/stairs is a little worn, but we were careful and make sure the kids wore sandals. also make sure to bring your own shampoo, otherwise you dont need to bring much to the house. The property is in the perfect location. It is in a no wake cove just down from Captain Ron’s. Close to the Cave and other popular resorts. Driving to resorts was close as well as by water. Everything was great even renting the owners pontoon.
My only suggestion would be for curtains to block the morning sun while on vacation but that is a personal wish. The only other thing is the decks could have been power washed for debris and cobwebs

This was an anniversary/birthday vacation with my parents; however, this rental was very disappointing. The description and pictures are misleading. PRO’s – House is located on a dead-end street. The check in process was smooth. The kitchen/master bath/hall bath are nice. The view is beautiful. CON’s – The driveway is extremely steep, backing in is the best option. You could park on the road, but the only way to access the house is to go down driveway. I know that this isn’t something that the owner can fix, but worth mentioning. The house smelled like soured towels/carpet. When walking into the kitchen area, we walked into several cobwebs hanging from the rafters. Due to smell and cobwebs, bedding was stripped and washed. Towels smelled like they had been left in the washer to long before drying. The furniture in the living room had seen better days, wasn’t furniture shown in the pictures. Outlet covers on the floor were broke. No TVs in the guest bedrooms. The doorknob mechanisms were installed incorrectly on the hall bath/guest bedroom doors, causing them to get stuck. Per previous reviews spanning from 2019-2022, mattresses needed replaced; the deck & dock had rotten boards/nails sticking up & needed repaired/replaced. Sadly, none of these issues have been addressed/taken care of. The outside of the house is a mess, with wires hanging about, broken lights/bulbs, missing light bulbs. Uneven steps to lake No fish cleaning station. Fire pit area leaves a lot to be desired.

The upper deck of this lake house has great views of the lake. It's in a busy cove due to Captain Ron's in the back of the cove. We were there Labor day weekend so it was extra busy. Got to see some really awesome boats though heading in and out. We really enjoyed sitting out on the private dock as well. The property inside was ok but could use some attention. As I do where ever I stay, I examine the coffee pot upon arrival. Coffee is very important in the morning and like to make sure the coffee brewer is clean and operable. It's pretty obvious that the cleaning crew did not check this because it was very dirty and didn't function. We let the property manager know and a new on was sitting on the deck the next morning. Other than that the kitchen area was very functionable. The mattress in the master was fairly comfortable but the other two could be upgraded. Some of the patio furniture needs replaced. The chairs for the round high top table were very wobbly and seemed unsafe. The patio cushions definitely needed to be replaced, very uncomfortable. The patio grill needed a deep cleaning to remove all the grease build up in the bottom. Found that out as we were grilling burgers one night. One other issue was the drain in the basement, laundry area. It kept overflowing, water standing in the laundry room floor. We were a party of four and was told that if we each took a shower back to back it would overflow which was very inconvenient if you're trying to get ready to go out to dinner after a day in the hot sun. Other than that, the owner and property manager were very nice and easy to deal with.

We had a wonderful time . The pictures are accurate and the house was clean upon arrival. Checking in and out was a breeze. We spent most of our time on the deck. Being in a no wake cove and being close to Captain Ron’s - we watched boats of all sizes coming and going - and yet still had an awesome view of the main channel. And thank you Randy for accommodating our dogs!

Very easy to check in. Location is great. Checkout was also easy. I had a couple questions before we got there, but the owner didn't respond. But everything worked out in the end.

The house is lovely—right on the water. There are lots of towels, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the living room furniture is comfortable.
Beware, though—there are lots of steps (both down to the dock and inside the house). The outdoor deck furniture is on its last legs. There is no door to the lower level of the house. Also, the host isn’t the best communicator and can be a bit snippy, but the property manager was a great resource.

Beautiful home on the lake
We stayed at this house for a week during a cross country summer trip. The house was awesome! Right on the water, with its own dock and near a marina for all the rentals you might need.
The house was spacious and very clean with all the amenities needed for a perfect vacation at the lake.
Shops close by, restaurants, and all kinds of water activities. The water was really comfortable for swimming.
We were so sorry to leave. Would come back in a heartbeat. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with.

Great Location
The property has a challenging driveway in terms of steepness so make sure to bring wheel chocks for your trailer. The location is great for where you are on the lake - very centralized. The dock is in a no wake zone - which is great. We left our boat in the lake the whole time we were there. Captain Rons is an easy walk or an extremely short boat ride and they have food and drinks and games and live music - lots of fun.
