This wonderful house was only a block from the beach. A rare find in the area. The sunset, sunrise walks were amazing. The space itself had all the amenities of home. The kitchen was well set up.
The on site parking was a little tight for the full sized van we had had. We were able to back it in without too much difficulty. Usually at night there was a parking space right in front.
I highly recommend this for a California get away.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were in La Jolla for our daughter’s wedding and the location was perfect for our needs.
Our grandchildren loved all the fun toys in the closet and outdoor closet.
The house is very well-stocked with all the things you might need to enjoy a beach day.
It’s also a great location from which to explore the many San Diego attractions!

The property absolutely lives up to its description. Beautiful and really well equipped (I think I saw six surfboards!). Paula went so above and beyond. I took a bad fall my first day, when I was there alone with my dog. Paula contacted her full-time renters and they dog sat while I got cleared through the ER. Utterly fantastic care for her guests!

Excellent trip enhanced by a wonderful host who was incredibly easy to deal with. House is as lovely as they come. So close to beach, and endless comfort while staying. Suited my family of 4 perfectly. Can’t say enough good things about this one. I am already looking forward to coming back.

House was very clean and comfortable. Great to have the grill which was clean and in excellent condition. Parking in the back was very convenient. The only thing I recommend would be better TV streaming service and some chairs in the front yard to enjoy the beautiful view.

This Vrbo location and the owner, Paula, were so great and organized. The instructions were so clear and the place was clean and beautiful and literally walking distance from the beach. My girlfriend and out families had a great time and the space was perfect! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Hope to do this again sometime! Thank you for the accommodations, they were so perfect for everyone, and being responsive and kind and allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

We had a wonderful time here! It was conveniently close to all of the locations we wanted to visit with the kids (Legoland, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo). My kids really enjoyed the boxes of toys in the closet. It helped to entertain them during down time. Paula was easy to reach with any concerns. Highly recommend. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights in April for a family visit, booking at relatively short notice, and after quite a lot of research felt this was the best option:
- Super-responsive host & easy check-in with code for doors.
- Accurate pictures and representation of the property.
- Quiet neighborhood with off-street parking out front. We stayed on weekdays and were able to find a spot every time. We didn't use the dedicated parking space out the back.
- Super close to the beach (relatively rough waves / rocky like most of the area).
- Plenty of space in the property to spread out in for our family of 4
- Well stocked - including beach stuff which sadly we didn't have a chance to use.
- Walking distance to Amenities - (fancy) supermarket and few restaurants at the end of the street; Downtown La Jolla within 20-30 mins. Helpful to have a car.
We felt we had a reasonable deal, but pricing seems to vary a lot depending on the dates. If you are visiting in the summer, then the limited private outdoor space (as shown in the listing) might be a factor.

This is a wonderful house and an unbeatable location to the Windandsea beach and all things in La Jolla. Walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. We traveled with young children, the house was well appointed with everything we needed - high chair, stroller, pack-n-play, etc. Also very well appointed for all other needs. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend!

Our trip this March was our third stay at the house. It has become our first choice of rental when we travel to visit family in the area. Why we return: very well maintained house in a quiet neighborhood; steps from the ocean; well equipped kitchen; comfortable beds; ample towels, linens. Cooking there is easy and the dining room table invites a gathering. This house is the top of our list and Paula is an absolutely great owner to rent from.

This was a great place for our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 toddlers). It was more spacious than I expected from the pictures, which don't quite do the living room justice! The weather was cold and rainy during our stay, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach as much as we had hoped, but we were happy to be able to spend time in this cozy home. It had everything we needed, including so much for young kids - highly recommend for any families! It makes traveling so much easier when there are things like toys, stroller, crib, etc. Communication with the host was excellent, would definitely return and stay again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in San Diego at this cute house. Paula, the owner, was the most responsive and best communicator I've ever worked with on VRBO. My kids loved staying here and we would choose this property again our next time in Sand Diego. It was close to the beach and had very comfortable sleeping arrangements.
My only dissatisfaction with my stay here was the parking situation. No street parking was available during my stay and parking the mini-van into the private garage/patio area was time consuming and challenging given how narrow it was. At one point during my stay, someone had parked illegally in the ally behind the house which prohibited me from parking into the garage at all. Luckily, the illegally parked car was gone by end of day so I was able to use the garage again.

This house was perfect for our family. It was so clean and the host provided many conveniences: Beach towels, kids toys, and kitchen was well stocked with plates/pots/pans. My kids loved playing in the grassy front yard from where I could see the ocean. Street parking was easy but it was nice to have the parking places in the back as well. There is even a single car garage! The host was very easy to get ahold of when we had a question. We can’t wait to come back this summer! We loved walking to the beach several times a day. It is so close my kids couldn’t believe their luck. My husband absolutely loved surfing at windansea beach. Apparently it is a world renowned surf location. Who knew!?! See you soon Spanish Casa!

While this is an excellent location, it is a quaint older home that hasn't been updated. Kitchen hard to maneuver and work in, and weak water pressure in showers. Not cleaned under sofas and chairs and black mold in window sills when we opened windows. Back gate to let in cars barely functions. Since we were there over Christmas holidays, we probably spent a little more time inside than during the summer, and had a nice time. House needs some TLC.

The location of the property is wonderful. It was easy to walk to downtown, the beach, or any of the local groceries and restaurants. The property manager was very responsive and easy to work with. The owner also came by and introduced himself (my husband was there), and asked if everything was as expected. It was nice to know that if anything came up, it would be taken care of.
The house is older, and with that comes the charm of an older home. It was clean and well cared for, and we felt like things were updated well. The layout of the house is a little different where they have added on a bathroom and additional bedroom (so there is no attached bathroom to the master). But that didn't bother us. Just a bit of a walk through the house to get from the bedroom in the back to the bathroom (the other two bedrooms are right next to the first bathroom). But again, that is the charm of an older home, and we enjoyed the house and the proximity so much we would not let that prevent us from another stay. Thank you for the wonderful vacation!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beach Barber Tract rental!
The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay! The rental was decorated nicely and we felt right at home! All the beds were very comfortable!!!
The beach was a 3 minute walk! We even walked to Brockton Villa for breakfast one morning along the coastline! The views were stunning!
Communication with Paula was great!!
My only complaint…Parking was difficult due to construction equipment. The garage was too small for my truck, but fit inside the courtyard area.
Overall, this was a beautiful home and we LOVED our stay here! Thank you Paula! ❤️

We loved the short walk to a fun beach with tide pools, climbing rocks, and lots of sandy spots for sitting. The house has a big bright family room and dining room for gathering and a fully equipped kitchen. Our kids loved the toys and we had everything we needed fur our baby. We walked to restaurants and coffee shops. Thank you!

A perfect getaway from the Phoenix heat. Steps away from the ocean and enjoyed not having to pack our own beach gear. It was so handy to have a full kitchen, laundry machines, and great parking all in one spot. The AC units were nice to cool down when it got warm in the day. Thanks for a great stay!

The house was absolutely Beautiful and the location is so much more than the pictures. To wake up and walk to the beach with coffee or sit outside and listen to the birds was everything and then some. Paula was and is incredible easy to work with and we certainly would stay again. Thank You for sharing your home with us and for allowing us to make some overdue memories with our children and grandson.

Location and accommodations can not be beat in La Jolla! Owner is very attentive to your stay and takes pride in providing a rental home for your vacation. We will definitely be back to stay! If you have small children- this house has all the amenities you need at the house and the beach- including a stroller and plenty of beach toys for older children as well!
