About this house rental

Nestled in False River, this lovely house for $130 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Come out and enjoy beautiful False River! The house is an open floor plan with a full kitchen, two sleeping areas, a living area, a bathroom and laundry room. It sleeps six people (2 sets of twin bunk beds and a queen bed), but could accommodate up to 8 people if you pull out the blowup mattress that we've left in the closet. There is a large upper deck, a lower patio, a big yard space down by the water, and a private pier at the lake for you to enjoy. Perfect "cabin by the lake" setting. Whether you like boating, fishing, or just visiting out by the water, there is plenty to enjoy out here. Here's some extra info about the cottage: -It's an open floor plan with a separate bathroom. - There are stairs outside of the house that lead you from the upper deck down to the backyard. -There is one step-down inside of the house; the living area and queen bed are just a little lower than the rest of the house. -The kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, and dish washer. -There is a full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience. Please bring your own detergent. -There is a small gas grill if you'd like to BBQ. -Central A/C and Heat -Wi/Fi -TV in living area with Netflix, Amazon streaming video, and OTA broadcast channels Historic New Roads is just across the lake and beautiful St. Francisville is a drive right across the Mississippi River on the John James Audubon bridge. There are hiking opportunities not far at Tunica hills and boat rentals on False River. If bringing (small) dogs they need to be on a leash at all times while outside and kenneled at night. They are not allowed on the furniture.

The camp was exactly as shown in the photos. Scott was immediately responsive to any questions. Sunsets on the dock were beautiful.

Gave check-in 4 stars. It was not obvious as to where the key box was. I possibly even misread some details in an email. However, I would give the owner 10 stars on communication when I reached out to them about the key box. Very prompt and nice. Tip: if you’re bringing a boat, go to the landing down the road at LA Express first. We had plenty of room but we have a 20ft boat and the yard was dry. Bigger and wetter, may have issues.

The place was just as mentioned. Very nice to relax and enjoy the water. Could use more utensils for kitchen and maybe trim trees to be able to see water from deck of camp. Other than that this pace is worth the stay. Thanks

We had a Great Time on a very nice place to just hang out and not do nothing which is what we were looking for. But if you have something you want to do there are many options. Place was clean and we slept well. Beds were great. We would go back. Thank You!

We wanted a semi close get away to fish and enjoy a couple of days. This was perfect for me and my son. My mother has back trouble so the stairs going to the yard/pier was rough for her but manageable. Plenty of sleeping area and very clean. Caught some good fish too!

We took our daughter to celebrate her 4th birthday and we had an amazing time! We were able to enjoy fishing, swimming, and relaxing! There was a store close by that had bait which really set us up. The Cypress Cottage was perfect & we plan on continuing to book for future trips. My son enjoyed being able to walk out the back door and go straight to the pier to fish, swing, and jumping into the river to cool down! We definitely didn’t want to leave and my little girl asked if it could be our new house! The host was great and provided all the information needed in a timely manner. We look forward to our next stay at this quaint and charming cottage!

The term DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER is an understatement. This lil cottage was impeccable and very well maintained. My daughter visited with the grandkids and were in love with the place. We enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing weekend. After their brief visit we enjoyed sitting and swinging outside. A fantastic place to stay and will revisit soon 🙏

My family had a great time and made wonderful memories. We are already talking about going back. I left my glasses behind and owner was amazing and mailed them back to me. I can’t thank him enough.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The view was incredible and there was plenty of outdoor space to enjoy including a huge back porch with a large outdoor dining table and a private pier with a swing. The decor was absolutely adorable and the owners made excellent use of all the space. Communication with the owner was seamless and he made the check-in process simple. It was such a relaxing getaway and I can’t wait to return again.

I absolutely loved The Cypress Cottage! We felt so relaxed all weekend! The area seemed super safe. We enjoyed traveling to St. Francisville for dinner and it was easy drive from the cottage.

Cypress Cottage was so nice with the open floor plan. Lots of yard, porch deck and also room for resting on ground with picnic table. Fishing pier was good size with swing and cleaning station. A lot of thought was put into the decorating on the inside. We enjoyed our stay very much even thou it rained a lot. Will come back with grandkids, enough room for them.
