Wonderful little house within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping!

A nice house, good host, and great location

Fabulous location on a quiet street just a five-minute walk from the centre of town. Everything was spotless and perfect, from the comfortable beds, to the "sing along songs" for the shower and the wonderful view from the kitchen window. And a charming host who went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed.

Marlys was a wonderful hostess. The unit was absolutely perfect for our stay — centrally located in Annapolis, yet a quiet haven that was cozy for our family gathering. The property was clean, and had amazing views to the garden, as well as the dome of the Naval Chapel. This place is a gem!

There is really no mystery as to why Marlys and Pete have earned exceptional reviews on VRBO and we were very fortunate that their home was available for our stay. This was our first VRBO and we were pleasantly surprised. Their home was very clean, comfortable and had every amenity that we needed for our stay. Their home is located in the historic district, and it is sheer perfection. Moreover, they treat their guests like family. After Marlys contacted me, I knew exactly what I needed to do to plan for our visit because her recommendations were flawless. As it is a very short walk to gate 1 or gate 3 of USNA, we were able to come back and forth throughout the day to rest between activities for Plebe Summer. The bonus was that with a full kitchen, I was able to bring a homecooked meal to our Plebe during the picnic after the oath ceremony. The pictures of this property simply don't do it justice. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and we hope to enjoy it more on our next visit. As you stand in the kitchen, you'll be in awe of the Naval Academy Chapel view. We will certainly stay again and recommend this home to family and friends! *No need to rent a car because Annapolis is made for walking and everything you could possibly need is very close! Just Uber from the airport and relax.

The property was charming and the location perfect. We had originally booked with another couple who had to cancel. In retrospect, the 2nd flight of stairs would have proven to be a hindrance. The owner did advise us of this at booking, so it is no reflection on them. The owners were easy to correspond with and totally accomodating to all of our requests.

This was a perfect location for the Yard, DTA, and the Stadium. The home is well stocked and beautiful.

My family and I stayed for a week this summer. The rental was fantastic - convenient to downtown Annapolis and the USNA. Pete and Marlys are great hosts and were gracious with their time for evening wine and cheese in the back garden. Opening the kitchen windows each evening at 6PM for the USNA Chapel Bells during dinner became routine. We will definitely make this our home away from home on future visits!

This wonderful place is the perfect base for exploring historic Annapolis! The waterfront, shops and a bajillion restaurants are a short and charming walk away. The home itself is sparkling clean and lovingly maintained. Comfortable beds and furnishings, well-equipped kitchen -and access to a dreamy back garden. The hosts are lovely and sincerely want their guests to have an outstanding stay. They were very kind and accommodating, and communication was prompt and easy. Would love to visit again.

Words won't convey how perfect our stay was - perfection that starts and ends with tremendous hosts who were incredibly kind, thoughtful, responsive and went out of their way to ensure our stay was nothing short than great. The house itself is nothing short of spectacular: A 121-year-old historic home that has only had three owners. Despite it's age, the house has every amenity you might need for a multi-week stay. Two well appointed and very, very comfortable bedrooms and full baths, a super cozy living room, a well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and quality high-speed internet, digital a/c etc. While the living spaces are fantastic, it's the property's garden with spectacular landscaping that is truly breathtaking; multiple sitting areas, outdoor grill, tables, umbrellas -- it's literally like you are staying in the US National Arboretum. And if the garden isn't enough, the kitchen and both bedrooms have postcard-worthy views of the USNA Chapel Dome which towers above. The property also has a great front porch for sitting/people watching. The home is just steps from USNA Gate 3; everything in downtown Annapolis is in easily walkable distance - and the King George location is much quieter on weekend nights compared to other DTA properties we've stayed at previously. Ultimately though, what makes this choosing this property a no-brainer are the owners/hosts who just really care. There was literally nothing they could have done to improve our experience because it was so positive, but it was clear to us that if there had been any issue at all, they would have jumped. We could not recommend more highly.

From the first to the last contact with the gracious hosts, the stay was perfect! The house is spotlessly clean, conveniently located, has strong wifi and has a well-appointed kitchen. The garden is out of a magazine! Highly recommended!

We decided to make an impromptu trip to Annapolis and happened to find this wonderful location. Marlys and Pete were very responsive and helpful, especially when a winter storm threatened to disrupt our trip.
