Good location, newly renovated kitchen. This property is close enough to the beach to walk. Parking not ideal. No elevators and you are on the 3rd floor, which is fine as long as you are aware of that. Other than that this place was great.

This is one of the more roomy condos that we have stayed in in Kihei! Was perfect for our family of 8. Kitchen was well stocked - though the refrigerator is on the older side. I was very happy they had some beach equipment available! 4 beach chairs, some snorkels, 2 umbrellas a small cooler and various sand toys. It is about a 10 min walk to Kam II beach and a 12 minute walk to Kam III. Great location, beautiful grounds and quiet condo.

Property was nice but the condo had very, very dirty carpet. We didn’t want the baby with us to even crawl on it and fridge was leaking water onto top shelf from somewhere and all door trays were broken so it really cut down on the useable size of the fridge and that made things challenging. Location was great though.

August 2021 Stay
Overall, the condo size was perfect for our party of 6. Plenty of room. Cons, the Queen guest bed is very hard and quite uncomfortable. I highly suggest a mattress topper. Also, the kitchen utensils are really lacking. Only 4 butter knives. And like 3 bowls. No containers to store leftovers at all. I highly suggest the owners do some kitchen utensils and kitchen tool updating. Also, it needs to be noted that there are no beach towels. If beach towels in the past have been stolen by other visitors, I can understand. But it should be disclosed. We had to spend $50 on beach towels at Costco. Also, there is 1 beach chair. Kind of a bummer. Plenty of boogie boards tho. I just feel like the owners should plan a visit and do some updating in the kitchen regarding kitchen tools and what not. And maybe provide beach towels. I just feel like more care and personal attention to detail on their condo should be given. Overall, a decent place to stay.

Everything to make a meal at home was there including the use of the BBQs (which were always immaculately clean) down by the pool area. The grounds were maintained beautifully at all times. The staff made regular sweeps of the pool area, the grounds and the different seating areas. We were close walk to the beach, the restaurants and shopping. It was perfect for our family and had a great time.

This was a really nice space for 7 adults and an infant. The kitchen was updated and well equipped. It had 3 individual private balconies. Also well stocked with water toys. The only issues we had was the carpet in the living space was really stained and either needed to be cleaned or replaced and there are no elevators in the building, so getting luggage up and down to the 3rd floor was a little harder than we expected, but we managed. Overall it was a very nice property.

Nice location. Loved the pool, hot tub, and grill area. There is also a tennis court which is in excellent shape. The view of palm tops adds privacy and is very relaxing.
Easy to contact the property manager when needed. They use a hospitality app if you have any maintenance issues or other issues to resolve to request to do either while you are there, away or once you have concluded your stay.
Laundry machines are smaller double stacked typical of condos.
We like to walk for distances and you could easily walk to most of Kihei or south to the resorts. If you do a dive or boat trip from the Kihei boat launch it is a pretty easy walk or drive and park.
Near enough to a few restaurants to eat out by walking to options or grab groceries and cook at the condo.
While comfortable, the king beds topper does side a bit so if you have a couple who are light sleepers and or ones that move in their sleep they might choose a different bed.

Great location in kihei

Great location
Maui Banyan is in a perfect place. Great location. There were six of us staying in this condo for 15 days. We have stayed at Maui Banyan before and have always enjoyed it. The condo was the perfect size for all of us. Lots of space. There were just a few disappointments and suggestions that I would highly encourage the owners to address. Number one, it was not disclosed that there were no beach towels. We ended up spending $50 on beach towels at Costco. Every condo we’ve ever stayed at has always had those available. Also, there was only one beach chair. Kind of a bummer. I feel like the kitchen utensils and tools were seriously lacking. If we were only there for a few days, not a problem, but we were there for 15 days and we only had four butter knives. We had no containers to store leftovers. When you are staying in a condo for two weeks or longer, it’s important to have a well stocked kitchen. This condo is definitely dated and needs some upgrades. Although, you could tell the kitchen was somewhat updated. Also, the queen guest bed in one of the bedrooms was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I also highly suggest that the owners invest in a mattress topper to make it more comfortable. Compared to other condos we have stayed at, at Maui Banyon Condo, I feel like this particular condo has not seen much love from the owners. Not many personal touches or care. Condo was clean. Overall, the condo suited our needs. I just think that kitchen utensils and tools were a bit disappointing. As well as no beach towels. Although, the ones we purchased we left there for others to use. I would recommend this condo, and I hope my concerns and recommendations will be addressed….

We had planned for over a year to spend 10 days in Kihei. My wife and I were traveling with another couple and their 2 children, a teenager and a 7 year old. The Covid-19 restrictions caused some trouble, but the management group Maui Condo and Home were great working with us to collect our documentation and get us into the unit. The three bedrooms, 3 baths were perfect for our group. The unit is across the street from nice beaches, and there was plenty of boogie boards, snorkel setups, and sand castle toys in the unit that we didn't have to buy/rent any gear. The unit was clean and comfortable, although the carpet is stained, and there is no elevator to the 3rd floor unit. But, we had a great vacation, and would rent here again!

Maui Banyan #303
We had planned for over a year to spend 10 days in Kihei. My wife and I were traveling with another couple and their 2 children, a teenager and a 7 year old. The three bedrooms, 3 baths were perfect for our group. The unit is across the street from nice beaches, and there was plenty of boogie boards, snorkel setups, and sand castle toys in the unit that we didn't have to buy/rent any gear. The unit was clean and comfortable, although the carpet is stained, and there is no elevator to the 3rd floor unit. But, we had a great vacation, and would rent here again!

This was a family getaway, 1st time in Hawaii for some of the family. Everyone was extremely happy with the condo. It easily accommodated the seven of us. The location was perfect for not only the beach for easy walking access to the many shops and restaurants. Overall a truly awesome experience.

Maui vacation at Maui Banyon
We loved the Maui Banyon. The grounds, pools, BBQ area are wonderful. The suite is dated but spacious, Main problem was the lack of air conditioning in the room off the living room as well as the lack of privacy in that room. The glass doors should have curtains at a minimum and this room needs air conditioning as it was really hot in there. Maui Condo did bring us a floor fan when requested which did help somewhat. The carpet has to go. It is stained and dirty so we all kept our shoes on as we didn’t want to step on the carpet with our bare feet. It is still a great deal on a theee bedroom if you can sacrifice the person in the hot room. All beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. Lots of beach toys, chairs, coolers and one umbrella. Bring your own beach towels or buy them at Costco once there for $9.99. Balconies all had a nice tree top view. Kitchen is well stocked.

No Elevator
Though the accommodation was fine for the number of our group, we were very surprised to learn that there was no elevator in our building. There were six of us carrying 6-50 lb. suitcases, carryons, groceries and assorted other items up 3 flights of stairs. Not a fun thing to do in the heat and humidity. A few in our group were also physically unable to do this. Nevertheless, we managed with the help of some neighbors who offered their assistance.

April 2019 Stay
We really liked our stay at Maui Banyon. It was nothing fancy but met our needs for family of 8. Had nice assortment of beach toys, boogie boards, lawn chairs. the only con...bedroom with queen bed was extremely uncomfortable and had no air conditioning. Guests who stayed in there were miserable.

Amazing nest in Kihei
They had all the basic essentials required for a family vacation. BONUS was the snorkel gear and body boards!! We had a lot of fun!

Recommended
We stayed with 2 family’s for 4 (4 adults and 4 teenage daughters). Other than a pair of sisters having to share the pull out couch the place was great. We made good use the the beach supplies that were available. The place was clean. The nearby beach provided good snorkeling and adequate waves for boogie boarding for the kids.

Maui vacation
We liked the location of our condo...close to the beach, stores and restaurants. The grounds were beautiful and the pool area with the barbecues was nice but we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo unit itself. The bedding was stained and old, the mirrors had not been washed and had a film all over them. We had to wash out the dresser drawers before we could even unpack our suit cases and the carpet was dirty with stains and dried on particles. The first shower that was taken in the king size bed area the tub did not drain and we had to call to have it unplugged (one would think when cleaning the bathtub/shower prior to renting the unit this would have been addressed and fixed before renting it again). For cleanliness we would rate the unit a 2 for location and the ground area we would give it an 8. There were six adults that used the unit and this is the opinion of all 6 of us.
