We enjoyed a lovely week at this property. The house is great with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortably furnished, fabulous use of color and decorative elements, and wonderfully large deck overlooking the water. All perfect for relaxing and socializing. The area was quiet and felt private with all the gardens and trees around the property. The house, decks, and gardens were well maintained and impeccably clean.
Our host, Luc, was helpful in answering any questions we had promptly.
I'd highly recommend this property. The only slightly negative aspect was that the water was not inviting for those of us who aren't strong swimmers & would have paddled around. There were algae and grasses growing in the bay - an issue beyond the control of the owners.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. Let me review the list of positives and just a few issues that could be improved.
The house is beautiful with great views of the water. It was very spacious and comfortable. The owner was very prompt and helpful in responding to all our questions. The house was totally equipped and included towels, sheets. paper products, many pots,pans and every kitchen utensil imaginable. They even left a full supply of condiments and spices! The outside space was fantastic. The deck space was enormous and had a lot of seating as well as numerous umbrellas. For entertainment they also provided several lawn games like cornhole and a large selection of DVDs and puzzles. The grill outside is a large Weber and has a lot of space to grill. The views were spectacular and it was very quiet and very private. The area is lovely and we enjoyed the wineries and breweries.
A couple of things that could improve this great property.
- the deck needs some maintenance and several boards need to be replaced.
- the trees overhanging the deck need trimming as I had to duck my head to avoid the branches.
- the access road to get to the property is almost 1/2 mile and is severely pitted. It is difficult to go more that 10 MPH on the road which adds 5+ minutes to every ride.
- Only the Main bedroom is Air Conditioned and the other front bedroom that gets the sun stays very warm.
- Main bedroom does not have any shades. It is very bright in the a.m.

We were a young family with a set of dogs and grandparents and this was a perfect place to stay for a week long vacation. There was everything we needed.

Beautiful waterfront views, spacious yard and well equipped home. The deck appeared much older than the photos. Half of the deck has no glass or spindles so it's a safety hazard and unuseable. The other half of the deck requires a lot of maintenance. The dock was great. We brought an inflatable fishing boat with trolling motor. Also kept the kids busy with kayaking and paddle boarding. Unfortunately the water was unswimmable due to the algae. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfy. Only the master bedroom has air conditioning so we had to use three very large, noisy fans to try and cool the other bedrooms. Not all bedrooms have curtains which made it difficult for some to sleep and hard to put little ones down to nap during the day. The location is great, easy to get to and only 15 mins for anything you need. All in all we had a great week together as a family making memories.

We had a great time here :-) The property was lovely but a couple of things to note for guests. We were there in the heat wave so it’s probably not an issue for most of the summer but upstairs, only our room (the master with bathroom attached) had strong A/C. The rest of our party was pretty warm at night. Second, the lake is incredible for fishing and my son and I had fun swimming off the dock as well but others who are a bit less comfortable with weeds and wildlife that enjoy them waited for trips to Sandbanks, North Beach to swim. But that was not a big thing. Overall we had a wonderful time and it’s a great place for about 4 adults and 4 kids.

As soon as we returned from our cottage week in 2021, we booked the cottage again for this summer. It did not disappoint. It's a fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. Luc is an exceptional host. We will definitely return again at some point.

Peaceful serenity
This property is amazing. The neighbours are quiet. The cottage is beautiful and has lots of space. The view from the back decks is wonderful. My only complaint is that the deck could use some TLC and a lot of nails hammered back in

Luxurious tranquility
Luc was wonderful to deal with from booking, to check in and answering a few questions. Gorgeous cottage with everything we could imagine to make our stay absolutely perfect. The beds are comfy, loads of towels and everything in the kitchen you could possibly need. From washer toss on the lawn to tubes in the water to evenings around the fire table, the adults enjoyed our stay from sun up to bedtime. The little ones loved the small beach and shallow water for wading. Just pack your food, clothes, and water shoes and enjoy. Out of five stars, Luc and Jim have created a vacation spot that is a solid 11!!

Peaceful playground
We have an amazing week-long holiday that was outstanding. Lots to do or just sit and relax. The most amazing view both from inside and outside this gorgeous cottage. A fantastically well equipped kitchen made meals time easy and efficient.

Fully stocked and lots of outdoor space
The cottage had everything you could imagine including dog bowls for our two standard poodles. The outside deck provided opportunity for different settings; sitting around the fire table on the comfy couches, sun tanning over the lake, dinning outside and all sorts of little tables for sitting with your computer. I found the perfect place on the deck to do my mediation and Pilates each month. Water was a bit murky with lots of seaweeds but was fine for kayaking. I had no desire to leave the cottage the whole week. Luc was lovely and very responsive to all my many questions throughout the week.

A water-side paradise
It was a long-awaited family reunion a year and a half in the making, and what a location to have it! The view from the many seating areas across multiple decks is absolutely beautiful. The cottage itself is spacious, luxurious and has everything you would ever need. And the included kayaks/canoe provide even more activities and exceptional views. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone seeking absolute tranquility. Very much looking forward to returning at some point in the near future!

Girls getaway
Luc is an excellent host that is very attentive and his home is amazing. It is very well equipped with everything you need. Only one thing we required that we could not find in the ample kitchen, a lemon reemer or juicer, whatever you call that thing. Awesome place, thank you Luc for opening up your home to us. The house is as described- with massive amounts of outdoor space. It never felt crowded, even when it rained.

Relaxing week
We had a great week relaxing at the cottage. The intermittent rain was no problem because there are lots of places inside & out to spread out and chill. Everything we needed we found - whether inside while cooking, or outside looking to enjoy the water.

Spacious family friendly cottage
Beautiful sunrises and views, spacious deck, gorgeous well-equipped home, minimum noise from neighbours, kayaks and canoes available on property including life jackets - our 4 year old grand daughter loved the bunk bed, chasing grasshoppers, searching for toads and swimming. Our 6 foot 7 inch friend enjoyed the king size bed. Great place for a multi-generational gathering. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

a little oasis
What a beautiful property! My family of 5 including three children (10-15yrs) had a fantastic stay here. We splurged on this property because of the plentiful outdoor space which includes a large grassy area, and many seating options around the entire property. If you're seeking shade or sun, there's always a place to be when outside. We used the kayaks and the canoe and inner tubes for floating off the dock. Nature surrounded us: we saw turtles (land and water), snakes, many large birds (heron?), even a deer! Inside, the home is fully stocked and beautifully decorated. Luc was accommodating, helpful and responsive. The check-in/out process was seamless. The only draw-back was the stress of driving in and out the private lane which only fits 1 vehicle. Luckily in our 5 night stay, only once did we have to back-up to allow another vehicle to pass. This certainly would not hamper our decision to return - and if it wasn't already fully booked for the summer, we would have!

Beautiful home for a large family stay
The house was beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked with all the supplies and appliances you could want. The view is amazing, and the front lawn was perfect for playing soccer with the children.
The only drawback was the water quality during our stay. I understand blue-green algae is a potential late-summer problem and it just happened to coincide with our visit.

Perfect family vacation spot
The cottage was very clean, the layout was comfortable and very spacious. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and we all appreciated the many thoughtful touches, such as the DVD collection, the well equipped kitchen and the evening lighting. There was plenty of space for people to socialize or to spend some quiet time looking out at the water or into the woods. My family had a wonderful vacation here. It is close to local vineyards and breweries and there are good groceries and other shops and restaurants in Picton. We swam and canoed and played on the lawn. It is by far one of the best properties we have rented through Home Away.

Another great visit to Prince Edward County. Our second time staying at this property. Easily brought our own boat, which adds so much to the lake experience. House is exactly as pictured, with a wonderful view & lovely rooms, huge deck, great beds, & everything a cook would need. When the weather is poor, plenty to see in nearby towns & wine to drink!! The cottage was beautifully appointed for a very comfortable stay for our two families.
The property was ideal. It was large enough to accommodate two families with enough rooms for privacy and family gathering rooms for coming together. The cottage was well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The owners made sure to leave brochures and literature on things to do in the area should you choose to venture away for the day and we took advantage of this by spending the day at the gorgeous Sandbanks Provincial Park. The only downside during our stay was the water quality in the lake. The algae does build up along the shoreline and with little ones it is unfortunate as we mostly kept them on the deck with their wadding pool. This wasn't much of a big deal for them as they were content. Though for the adults we did want clear water to swim in so we didn't really go in. Overall though the cottage itself was perfect for our stay and we had a wonderful week regardless of the water. For some this may be an issue but you could always swim a bit further out to get clearer water.
