We’ve stayed at a number of places on Sanibel and this is the best condo so far. We will definitely rent this unit again. The condo itself is lovely, updated with nice bed linens, 2 king beds and 2 twins. 3 bedroom units are hard to find as are units with 2 kings. The storage locker has at least a dozen beach chairs, several umbrellas and any other beach equipment you could need. The kitchen is well supplied with decent knives, lots of dishes, grilling utensils etc. The location is lovely with a great view of the beach that you can view from the large lanai. Easy beach access, nice pool, tennis courts, and multiple outdoor seating areas. Biking and driving wise, there’s easy access to Donax and Casa Ybel which makes it 50/50 to Bailey’s or Jerry’s. And only 10min to Ding Darling. Highly recommend!

This is lovely, clean condominium with nice view on the beach. The screened in porch is spacious. The beds are comfortable and pretty much everything needed in the kitchen. We appreciated the cooler left for beach use as well as the items in the storage closet.Recommend a big beach umbrella and maybe a wagon! We would definitely rent this condo again. We stayed at the condo several times in the past, most recently about 5 years ago, and have always loved the wonderful lanai with the spectacular view and the well kept up and quiet complex. I’m sad to say that the unit has fallen into disrepair in the last 5 years. It sorely needs to be painted. The master bath shower tile is grimy, and when we opened the cabinet there a huge roach greeted us. The porch furniture, which was comfortable 5 years ago, is worn and needs to be replaced. In addition, the router is ancient so that the internet is very slow, the cable TV in the 2nd bedroom worked only intermittently, and the sink in the second bathroom did not drain (we had to prop open the drain with a utensil). We love Sanibel, and Sanddollar C202 holds a special place in our hearts because of the fact that our family has vacationed there since our children were little. We were not only disappointed but saddened when we entered the unit.

everything was wonderful with one exception. The units were great, the amenities were excellent but we had an unfortunate encounter with the maintenance man. We reported the multiple instances of inappropriate conduct to both Sanibel Holiday and the property manager , both of whom were very responsive and are seeking to have the situation properly addressed. ( the man should be fired)

great location and nice grounds with pool and beach.The unit itself had much to be desired including old beds, and the kitchen was poorly equipped with garbage bags, dishwasher soaps and backup paper products, including paper towels (a full roll and then one would be good). no toilet paper was left and we had to have some delivered. Had to first, I would recommend the building but not that unit. So your question below is no to that specific unit. I had to ask for steel spatula for the grill outside. The bedroom room on inner hall did not open either. The company you recommended for cribs (and we had one delivered) should be taken off your recommended list. The mattress smelt of mold. If there was another 3 bedroom in the same facility that had better equipped kitchen and better beds, we would consider coming back.

The complex is wonderful. Convenient and the poolside is perfect for swimming, grilling with nice bathrooms on site. The unit has not been updated in many years. It has seen a lot of hard use. Bedspreads and blankets were dirty. Towel racks fell from walls. Kitchen was poorly outfitted with only two coffee mugs. Pillows were hard and beds lumpy and swayed. Location was wonderful but would look for another unit in this complex. The lack of care, lice and attention to the unit was a real downer overall. At this price we expected the owners to have more vrrr pride in their property.

We have stayed at different 3 bedroom units in Sanddollar for 9 years. The tremendous view from the lanai, the pool and the ocean remain the same beautiful, soul rewarding features. The unit C202 which we stayed in last year also, had multiple things wrong with it, which the manager worked to improve in a timely manner. The buildings in general are not being kept up. The elevator certificates in buildings B & C are both out of date by 20 months. I called the posted condo association phone and received a voice mail back saying the pit had problems that are fixed. Living in a condo back home, we would not been able to run an elevator that was a day overdue, so I cannot understand how these are allowed to operate. Being handicapped, I need a safe elevator. Elevators in buildings B & C were both poorly repaired on the internal walls and tiles are missing from the lanais. This is why we will not be renting any Sanddollar unit again.

We enjoyed a two week stay at this Sanddollar Condo. It has everything you need for the perfect vacation -- well mantained three bedrooms. 2 bathrooms, lvingroom and kitchen,lanai, pool, barbecues and beach. Staff were very responsive to any issues that occurred. We hated to leave!

We had a wonderful time at Sand dollar resort in Sanibel!! The condo was set up perfectly for us and our three kids under 10 yrs old. The bedrooms were comfortable and the layout was just the right size for our week there. The view from the beach front patio was magnificent and we enjoyed eating all our meals out there. The beach chairs, toys and bikes that the owners left for us to use were an added bonus, and so handy in the downstairs closet after coming back from the beach. The pool was a bit small for the size of the complex, and got quite crowded at times, but we preferred the beach anyway. Sanibel Holiday were so helpful & quick to respond with a few questions we had and recommendations during our week's stay! We had one of the most amazing family vacations we've ever had at Sanddollar. We simply love Sanibel!

Everything was as-described and promised, and Sanibel Holiday was a pleasure to work with. They provided needed toiletries and supplies for us, and even helped us top off at the end of our trip to avoid having to run to the store.
For a few minor negatives: the unit is showing its age in a few spots, and could use a few refreshes, but nothing which would remove our recommendation. The only consistent frustration was the layout of the master bathroom; the toilet is in a narrow spot that we never really got used to. The storage unit under the building is musty and we didn't make much use of it.
But overall, the unit is itself beautiful and comfortable, the complex is quiet and clean, and the view of the gulf is well worth the price. Just make sure you protect yourself from the noseeums when you're walking to/from the beach at dusk. The vegetation is beautiful but does come with some insect activity (no worse than anywhere else on the island).
We will definitely consider doing business with Sanibel Holiday in the future and will recommend Sanddollar to our friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay at Sanddollar C202. The location was relatively quiet and out-of-the way from the traffic on Periwinkle. The condo was comfortable and clean. Linens (beach towels/pillows) are in need of replacement. We were disappointed that the complex allows smoking at the pool. Our neighboring condo also smoked on their lanai which made for strong odors.

We had a great time in Sanibel. Sand Dollar could not have been a better location - a short walk to the beach, very quiet. I think the unit could use some updating with bedding especially. Also the dehumidifier was not working well at all as it stayed damp the entire week. Also, a cleaning of the dryer vent at 8:30AM was not appreciated by the guests still sleeping - maybe later in the day when all are out of the unit. Plenty of room for 6 guests, plenty of towels, dishes,glassware.

We had a great trip to Sanibel and a nice stay. The property was in a great location and the grounds well maintained. The property itself could use a little updating (e.g., beds and most of the major appliances, some of the walls/paint needs touched up). Also this is one of the only rental properties in recent years I've rented where you had to have an actual physical key to access the property. Not a big deal but when going to/from the beach I missed the convenience of a keycode. But Sanibel Holiday is great to rent with and I look forward to our next trip!

Very nice condo!
The condo was clean and colorful. There was plenty of room for the five of us. The beach was a short walk. The pool was lovely. The grounds were beautiful and we spotted various animals, even bunny rabbits!! Overall, I would definitely recommend.

We have been staying at the Sanddollar every summer for the last 8 years. This condo was our least favorite. The master bathroom needs major updating. The tile in the shower is cracked and just outside the shower door there is corrosion. For the price of renting these condos they should be pristine. This condo needs bathroom and kitchen updates. No view of the beach from the porch because if the palm trees.

Great place - recommended
The location is first rate. The condo unit is spacious - we had a party of 6. Only quibbles are the little things that make a stay nicer - no pizza cutter, a broken coffee pot lid which caused a couple of spills - and the pot had no auto shutoff - very dangerous), just two bikes, broken or outdated beach equipment. But those are just quibbles - overall very enjoyable.

Dirty and smelly
C202 smelled like dirty socks. The couch smelled bad too. The light switches were encrusted with dirt and food. There was mold on the wall in the kitchen and the air vents were very dirty. There was food splattered on walls and cupboards. There were 2 critical lightbulbs burned out. 3 out of 4 tv’s were unusable bc the batteries were dead. Deadbolt on front door coming unscrewed and door handle had busted through the wall due to broken door stop. Beds were not completely made when we arrived. Fancy bedspreads were not on. Furniture needed replaced and the condo overall had many things that needed fixed or replaced. This was definitely not a 4 star condo as stated on VRBO.
