About this house rental
Nestled in Colorado, this lovely house for $255 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This mountain home sits on 30 beautiful, wooded acres just South of Hwy 24. It sits high on a hill above the abandoned Colorado Midland Railroad from the 1800’s. Nestled in the pines, it overlooks a stream with several Beaver ponds and visiting wildlife. Feel complete privacy with no other houses in view yet easy access to all local attractions. Close to world class flyfishing at Eleven Mile Canyon, Eleven Mile Reservoir, Spinney Mountain Reservoir and the Dream Stream. The interior features 1900 sq ft with vaulted ceilings and large picturesque floor to ceiling windows in the spacious living room. A stone accent gas fireplace with 50" plasma TV above, completes the space. The home is superior in quality, featuring warm colors and comfortable furnishings. With the open concept, it is cozy enough for 2, but roomy enough for the whole family. You’ll enjoy cooking your meals in the large, modern, well stocked kitchen or grilling on the deck. Enjoy the Views from the 3 tiered deck or stargaze after a long day of outdoor activities in the 6 person Hot Tub. As long time pet owners we would love for you to be able to bring your 4 legged family member along. Please advise us of the number and breed of dog you would plan to bring as we do have some restrictions and house rules that allow us to keep our home in pawsitive shape. We do keep the driveway well plowed of snow in the winter, however the driveway has a few ups and downs, so we do recommend a 4 wheel drive for the winter and spring months. A great place to stay with privacy in the mountains. My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights away from the kids, but the place is large enough for our family of 6. It was clean, well-appointed, and the layout is excellent. Heated floors were a bonus. Cap's Pizza is a 5 minute drive and it was very good.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! The photos on the listing do not show that the living area has was updated with wood like flooring. I was concerned it was carpeted as shown in the picture and that we would bring in some of the gravel and snow from outdoors especially with our dogs. However, it worked out nicely with the flooring. It was clean and had everything you needed. Our four legged family members loved it out there. I have read some comments that you can hear the highway from the cabin. This was not an issue, we quite liked that the main road was not very far from the cabin. The roads were well maintained. We did have some snowfall, which was great as it allowed our kids to sled down their long private road. Pikes peak, Wolf and Wildlife center and the town of Divide are short drives away. Most definitely recommend 4WD if you are visiting during the snowy season.

This cabin was in a great location, had all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay including a hot tub, stocked accessories in the kitchen and 3 decks on which we enjoy some quiet time in the evenings. The hosts were fantastic, and it was very apparent that they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. They were in touch with us before and during our stay and were very responsive when we contacted them. It snowed the night before we left and Kyle (host) was at the cabin the next morning to make sure the lane was cleared for us. All in all a great experience for us - highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at the Beaver Lodge and it was awesome! The hosts pretty much thought of everything. All the essentials you would need and even darkening curtains in the rooms. The private hot tub viewing the mountains was beautiful and relaxing. Probably our favorite place we have ever stayed in Colorado. Such a hidden gem!

We chose this place for three main reasons: location, hot tub and pets allowed. The location is remote and away from other homes or businesses. The property does sit close enough to the highway to get some road noise but you can't hear it from inside the house and we usually listen to music when sitting in the hot tub so we didn't hear it then either. If you want to have the windows open during the day or at night you might be bothered by the road noise but it is only a two lane highway so it isn't that bad. The small town of Florissant has a few restaurants and a cool laid back vibe. We did the fossil hike (about 2 miles) with the kids and they seemed to enjoy it. The drive to Colorado Springs/Manatu to see Pikes Peak and Garden of the gods was an easy 45 minute drive and we had time to spare even doing them on the same day. Going the the other direction toward Lake George is also an easy 20 minute drive and you will taste some of the best BBQ in the nation (no joke!) at Fat BBQ Shack. It's pretty famous so some people are smart and call in their order before going there (we did not). In this same area is a very gorgeous scenic drive through Eleven Mile Canyon. Don't miss this! Just make sure when you see the sign that has three options take the one to the right (very important!) or else you better be in an off road vehicle ready to ride over boulders. As for the house, this host has thought of almost everything! The kitchen is fully stocked and we loved everything!

Disappointed that is was literally right above a main road with lots of road noise. The property is nice but a little difficult for my smaller kids to navigate. The internet was too slow to accommodate Roku so we didn’t have tv for the kids in the evenings but there were movies and games that made up for it. The home was beautiful and clean and the owners very responsive which is appreciated. Overall we had a good stay at the Beaver Lodge.

This property was a great introduction in to Colorado. The views were gorgeous and the isolation was just what I needed to unwind. It’s an isolated property at the end of a long dirt road but still convenient to the surrounding towns. The property is very well appointed and comfortable even in the snow. Kyle was great, checking in on me as a snowstorm was coming through to make sure I had everything I needed in case I had to hunker down for a couple of days. I look forward to returning. Love this spot! We came from Omaha, NE. As a clean freak I am always weary with rentals. Beaver Lodge was very clean, stocked with necessities, and the perfect amount of seclusion. We would definitely stay again!

My husband, myself and our two small pups enjoyed exploring the property and watching the sun rise and set the days we were there. The scenery and serenity are perfect. You can hear cars from the freeway but it’s easy to ignore. For just us, we had a ton of room to get ready for our elopement without running into each other. We made use of the fireplace and had a movie night followed by some stargazing on the back deck off the bedroom. Thanks to the Eichers for a beautiful getaway, we hope to be back soon!
