About this lodge
Secluded on nearly 7 acres, this beautifully decorated mountain lodge is only 7 miles from downtown Franklin. At near 3,000' elevation with incredible views, this property is perfect for a couple’s romantic getaway, small family groups, or two or three couples.
Massive timbers greet you as you enter the large great room. Soaring wood ceilings lead to the unique timber "tower" that anchors the main living area. Large windows take in the breathtaking views, and a floor to ceiling stacked stone fireplace finishes the main living area. You'll also enjoy the expansive wrap around deck with long range views to the north and shorter range views to the west. A spectacular 80' tall Hemlock separates the north and west views. A spacious gourmet kitchen is available for your use.
The master suite (king) is on the main level, as well as the guest suite (queen) with a private bath. There's another large bedroom (king) and bath on the lower level. A roomy den downstairs with a 60" TV and gas fireplace, opens onto the lower porch with more amazing views. This custom built home includes numerous upscale features and craftsmanship that add to its character and uniqueness.
There is paved access up the mountain except for the driveway which is gravel. The driveway is only about 200 yards long, but AWD or 4WD is highly recommended.
This property is located about 5 minutes from the Macon County airport.

The house and property are beautiful and very well maintained. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a vacation get away. Gorgeous mountain Views from almost every room in the house.

This property is absolutely as promised and then some. But, the special sauce is the generous and communicative owner, Earl. He is very proactive and clearly cares about the home and his guest experience. Excellent!

Everything about this place is amazing! When you park and step out of your vehicle you will be amazed by the wonderful views! There are not enough words to describe this beautiful house...a luxurious chef’s kitchen with incredible appliances and every cooking utensil etc you could desire. The bedding and towels are wonderful too! The porch furniture is so comfortable and we enjoyed having coffee in the morning sitting in the gliders looking out over the mountains.The owners are wonderful with their communication and have the house stocked better than any rental I have ever stayed in! Location wise it is fantastic...you feel a world away yet are only 10-15 minutes from historic downtown Franklin. We love to fly fish and hike and found so many nearby places to do so. This is a great base location if you also want to explore various places such as Bryson City/Cherokee, Highlands, Nantahala area, etc. You can’t go wrong with this place....we hope to be back soon!
