About this house rental
Nestled in Barnegat Light, this lovely house for $314 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Blue sky, green sea and endless white beach make Barnegat Light the perfect vacation spot for spring, summer or fall! And you'll always feel at home in this immaculate, comfortable, fully equipped first floor of a family-owned duplex. In prime summer season (late June, July and August) house rents only full weeks Saturday to Saturday. Take a walk-through, VIDEO tour of the house by going to our listing's main page photo and clicking on the left arrow. Or (in the same window) use the right arrow to look through all the house photos, video is after the photo of 'Old Barney' lighthouse and beach. First floor unit has three bedrooms (queen bed, one full, three twin beds), one full bath, heat, central air, private full-sized washer/dryer and modern outdoor shower. It's our home, too, so we've set it up with everything needed for a great time in the sun. First floor unit is ideal for families with young children or seniors, only three low steps to front deck and house. You can hear the ocean from the shaded deck which has a large dining table and six chairs, two chaise lounges and Weber Genesis gas grill. Outdoor showers are completely renovated and modern, deck is a dry space to enjoy even if - heaven forbid! - it rains. The street is quiet, safe for children to play or ride bicycles. Park your car and walk to everything: 'Old Barney' lighthouse, general store, liquor store, shopping, antiques, grocery, deli, marina, family and upscale dining, fishing, boat rentals, bike and video rentals, ice cream store, miniature golf, bar with live music, playground, skate park with basketball and tennis courts, churches, museum, nature trails. You'll never have to leave Barnegat Light to have a restful, wonderful vacation; everything you need is nearby. We're three houses from breathtaking dunes and a spectacular white sand beach. It's also widely regarded as one of the best fishing beaches on LBI. Surfing is allowed any time. A free, town-owned beach tram operates throughout the day from about the third Saturday in June to Labor Day to offer you a ride over the sand; the short walk from our front deck to the water's edge is along a wooden walkway and then flat sand through the dunes' spectacular scenery. We love Barnegat Light and Maryanne made our stay extra special. The house is clean and spacious with all the trappings of home. The front porch was lovely to sit out and have our coffee in the morning and have a glass of wine in the evening. The location can’t be beat.

Fantastic!
The property is located at a rather quiet neighborhood with much fewer tourists which we appreciate very much. It has an easy access to the beach with great sand and fewer crowds. My kid was able to find huge shells there which is an added bonus :). The property looks and feels new and is very roomy. It has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The owner is very responsive and understanding. We had a wonderful time there. Highly recommended!

The homeowner was so helpful, and my family enjoyed our stay in this beautifully kept first floor home! The boardwalk path to the beach was an LBI discovery for us! Nature and views were amazing! The home was immaculate and felt like home right away. We loved being away from the crowds on this peaceful street, too.

We had a lovely beach vacation at Marybeth’s home. The first floor entrance was perfect for my mil and granddaughter. The rental was clean and had everything we needed for the week. The highlights were easy access to the dunes and enjoying the ocean breeze on the front porch in the afternoons. We loved the quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

Perfect Place
A great location and a very comfy house with everything we needed. We had a really great time! A short walk through the beautiful dunes and we were on the beach. We also were able to walk to the lighthouse and surrounding town for mini golf and ice cream.

This was the best renting experience I ever had. Marybeth was a great communicator without being an intrusive landlord. The house was beach house adorable and absolutely spotless. The kitchen was beyond stocked. Plenty of dishes, silverware, utensils, cutting boards, serving bowls, waffle iron, blender, hand mixer, plenty of pots and pans including a lobster pot. I was pleasantly surprised to see full range of cleaning products including dish soap. Laundry detergent, trash bags, plastic wrap and foil paper also there for tenant use. A cute little basket in bathroom stocked with “in case you forgot” amenities. We rented linens from LBI Dream makers. That was easy for us. We alsorented kitchen towels but there were some supplied in a kitchen drawer with pot holders. There’s a computer desk with computer if you need to work. Well stocked with books for beach reading. A beach cart was supplied which is good for me since I like taking a ton of stuff to the beach. The walk over the dunes to beach is a good walk so keep that in mind. There is a little gravel driveway 1 house down to 9th street if you want to take the tram to the beach. It’s free and runs every half hour. After the beach day I spent my time on the lovely deck. Plenty of seating for outdoor meals. We would definitely rent again from Marybeth.

Awesome stay. Great location. Great fit walking/ biking. Not a lot of restaurants during the week, but they were delicious. Kitchen very well equipped (except for a baking sheet, maybe we missed it). Walk to the beach is beautiful. The mattress were somewhat uncomfortable, though. My husband has a bad back and ended up having to sleep on the couch, which he found very comfy. Wonderful vacation and will definitely be back!

Beach town bliss
IYKYK, Barnegat light is away from the commercial madness and the perfect place to spend a beach week. This home is in a wonderful location to get to beach and walks into town and was clean and great spot for our little ones. Would def come again!

Absolutely wonderful stay!
We had a great stay in August 2020. The house was very clean and fully stocked. The outdoor shower was so clean. The location of the house was great-we we’re able to walk almost everywhere we needed to go. I hope to return!!

Perfect Beach House in Quiet Town
The house was the perfect beach getaway for my family of 2 tweens. The kitchen was stocked with every gadget we needed. Instructions were placed all over the house. The owner sent timely & informative emails. The town was quiet & peaceful I would definitely recommend it!

Great beach property close to Barnegat Lighthouse.
Property itself was clean and well stocked with essentials (including toilet paper!). Property manager was easy to work. with and responded promptly to all inquiries. I think that "third house from beach" is a little misleading. It is the third house from the beach path which is quite a distance from the ocean beach. I wish I had known this as I could have brought a beach wagon.

Was easy to book our getaway to Barnegat Light. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful walk to beach was the best part. Even our four year old could handle it no problem.

Lovely shore rental in Barnegat Light
Stay for 1 week off season in May with my husband and 2 young kids. Perfect, simple home to stay in and spend time on the beach. Clean, clearly well-kept and updated home that made it easy to relax while we were not on the beach. Many books and games for us to use while we were there. Nice walk to the beach over beautiful, long dunes. Beach was not crowded. Easy to walk to light house, ice cream shop, liquor store, convenience store and restaurants on this area of LBI. We would definitely stay again in the future.

Very Cozy Home/Great Location!
We had a great stay here. Very well stocked to meet cooking needs if you desire to do so. We had four adults and a toddler and this home is accommodating for all. They have so many games, puzzles and toys to play with. Very close to the beach. Just a short walk away. Very nice front porch and backyard as well. Home is very clean! We were visiting family that could not accommodate us all, and would not hesitate to stay here again!

Beautiful, Comfortable Home by the Beach
We had a wonderful time! Enjoyed our off-season, late September walks to the beach, climbing the lighthouse and downtime on the porch. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked with plates and pans enough for wonderful family dinners. Everything was easy to find. Kids loved biking in the street and the home was stocked with books for all ages. Thank you! We hope to be back!

Very nice property! Close to the beach, Barnegat Lighthouse, great restaurants and shops. Clean and all the supplies you need except your groceries and linens. We couldn't have picked a better property. September is the perfect time to visit.

Clean, functional and well kept. Quitest local on LBI, Barney Lite. Dunes are spectacular.
Third house from the beach. Parking for four cars. Sleeps six. Everything works, nice and clean. Bring your own sheets and beach chairs. Take a walk to the beach through the dunes. The dunes are the best part of that LBI local, second to that is the Olde Barny light house. Two or three restaurant with liquor licenses within walking distance, (as is a liquor store), serving local seafood: The Daymark (old Rick's American Cafe) and Kubels. Mustache Bills Diner and Kellys, and the Deli are great for breakfast and lunch. The latter take only cash. If you are 16 or older, get yourself a NJ Dept o' Fish & Wildlife saltwater fishing registration (free on-line) if you want to bring your rod and reel to the beach. Or, you may catch your limit off the Carolyn Ann III or Miss Barnegate Light on a day trip from walk-able Viking Village. Multiple private charters are present also. You will not be disappointed with the beach. Boat and kayak rentals are at the west end of 10th street on the bay side, near the gaz-zebo at Bobbie's. White's market will have the groceries and meats your want. Viking Village has a fish market, ask for the local stuff: tile, fluke/flounder, scallops, blue or striper, if you want to cook or grill yourself. Don't drive if you have had a few (cops are young, motivated, very professional), take Uber, Ride or call local 609-597-TAXI. You will not be disappointed.
