Situated in Smith Mountain Lake, this lovely cottage for $432 per night is a great option for your next break. ***Cleaning Update: We are now doing a deep cleaning/sanitization between reservations. We are sanitizing all high touch surfaces and steam cleaning the furniture between each rental. Although guests provide their own linens, we are replacing the comforters and mattress pads between each reservation. This cleaning takes additional time and costs more, but we feel it is necessary to protect our renters. Watch the Sunrise through the Lakeside Wall of Windows, Fish off the Dock, Grill on the Large Deck, Sit Around the Stone Fire Pit or just Lounge in the Hammock. This home rests on a beautiful point lot and has everything you need to enjoy the lake in a cozy rustic atmosphere with all the modern conveniences you've come to enjoy. The kitchen is Fully Stocked. There are TV's in each Bedroom. There are 3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Bathrooms, Laundry, and Rec Room with Foosball Table. Please bring your own sheets and towels. Comforters and Pillows are provided. The Location is perfect by land and by boat. This cottage is in a Large Cove between the Bridge and State Park. 10 minutes by car or boat will get you just about anywhere you want to go.

This was a beautifully maintained and clean property. The kitchen was well stocked with new appliances. The location was close to grocery stores and restaurants. The walkways to the fire pit and dock were well marked. The deck was large with several chairs and a dining table. The screened porch would be great in the summer. The absolute only complaint is that the box spring on the king bed made the most awful LOUD squeak with any little movement. The mattress itself was comfortable, but the squeaks didn’t make for a restful night. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property.

My children and I absolutely loved our stay. The house is so beautiful and in the perfect, secluded location but still close to town. The house is top notch! Would highly recommend. The hosts were amazing. Excited to come back one day!

The house was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The property was quiet and private. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock, the kids loved the ice cream boat that came by every night! We rented a boat at close by marina and had a great time on the lake!

Our family of four had a wonderful week at SML. The house was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with amenities. We loved swimming off the dock which is located in a quiet cove as well as using the fire pit at night. We brought our boat and enjoyed skiing and tubing close to the house. It is a quick ride by boat to Bridgewater marina to get ice-cream. We have stayed at other places at SML but this by far was our favorite. We plan to book it again for next summer.

Many thanks to Kim and Cameron! This cottage has been beautifully updated, lots of conveniences (my college-kids loved the wifi connection) and super clean! The pictures are accurate, the mattresses super comfortable and very private. We took full advantage of the screened in porch (even though the bugs were not that bad during our stay) and the weber grill. This location is great. Not far to the dam for great fishing (by boat) and close to local wineries and restaurants for those rainy days. This is a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay in SML at this property. We had 2 adults and 2 children staying at the house and it was plenty of space for our family, inside and out were just as the pictures depicted. Nice quiet cove, the ice cream boat comes by close to 8 PM daily - that was a fun treat.

Loved the renovations and how well stocked the kitchen was with spices and dishes. There was firewood for the fire pits . We lost electricity twice due to storms so I would recommend sticking a few candles. Great place with Great Lake access.

Quiet channel, beautiful grounds, location was excellent. We loved the firepit and screened in porch. Home was well appointed and very clean. Wish the ladder at the dock was cleaned from algae, as it was diffiuclt to use. Would highly recommend the property.

Great, updated property tucked into a wooded lot on a point off the main lake. Directions provided by the host made it easy to find. House was very clean and updated which was one reason we selected the property. The walk to the dock was short but the rock path could be tricky for some folks. We were able to tie up two boats on the dock but there are isn’t any shade in the morning so it was good we brought a sun shade. Kitchen had everything we needed and was easy to navigate. Great food storage in the fridge/freezer. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there including the free fireworks shows on both sides of us. Thank you for offering your place to others.

We rented the house for my best friends graduation and it was perfect. It was clean, organized and had plenty of supplies for the kitchen and bedding. The location was perfect for traveling to the college in Lynchburg and the view was so peaceful and relaxing! We loved our stay!
