Located in Folly Beach, this lovely house for $268 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Welcome to Southern Tides at Folly! Whether a returning guest to SC or if this is your first time, we hope you will consider our well appointed home for your visit to the low-country, we promise you will fall in love. While we have a 2+ car garage and added community parking, you will not need the cars if staying on Folly as our front door is one block or 0.3 miles (less than 5 minute walk) to all the restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping on Center Street and just another 0.1 miles (2-3 minutes more) to incredible Folly Beach. Whether coming down to Folly Beach or planning to visit historic Charleston (12 miles away) and its many attractions (or both), Southern Tides is the perfect year round place for you to experience all that this incredible area has to offer. From the kitchen, family room, screened porch, or master bedroom and master bedroom deck, watch the fishing boats coming/going, the sail boats rocking, or paddle boarders as they navigate the beautiful Folly River and marsh wildlife. The home is a 3 bedroom (king, queen, & double bunk beds) / 3 full bathroom townhouse which sleeps up to 8 comfortably. The home has hardwood floors throughout and is decorated in a cozy beach theme. You will enjoy the water views from the comfortable family room and open concept living, kitchen, and dining area. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you will need to cook or entertain (including a Keurig which we always wish we had when we visit VRBO rentals). Enjoy morning coffee and sunrise or evening on the screened in porch with dining set and seating for 6. We also provide a game basket, pack & play which can be used in lieu of a crib, etc. There is a also a rear outdoor patio with an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. In the garage you will find beach chairs, a cart/dolly, body boards, skim boards, and beach toys for your personal use and enjoyment. We provide 4 beach cruiser type bikes so you can explore the island, or go downtown for a shaved ice, watch a sunset at Mariners Cays, watch the surfers at the Washout, or down to see the Morris Island Lighthouse. Your stay will also include access to our community swimming pool (Seasonal / which overlooks the marsh and Folly River) as well as the community boat dock. The pool and dock are less than 50-feet from our front door. Have a drink out under the covered dock and watch some of the most amazing sunsets, dolphins swimming up the river, or maybe try your hand at fishing, crabbing or launch your personal kayaks or paddle boards directly off the dock. If you have been to Folly before, welcome home. If not, welcome and be ready to relax. Folly Beach (also referred to as "The Edge of America" sits on a small 5-mile long barrier island just a short 15-20 minute drive outside of historic Charleston, SC. Folly is an eclectic surf beach with a laid-back vibe and is great for just a couples getaway, girls retreat, or a family-vacation. It is also known as the the best surf beach in all of SC, while still having a shallow drop off of the sand into the water making it great for the young kids to wade and play. Try you hand at surfing (several surf schools), kite surfing, or just stroll the beach and look for shells. The beach is wide (with exception of king-high tides sometimes) and the sand is soft from the beach all the way into the water. This was our third stay in Folly Beach but our first at this property. We chose it for the peaceful location on the marsh and proximity to town. The house was perfect for our family. We loved looking out on the water. Even spotted some dolphins one morning. Walked to restaurants and shops everyday. Home was clean, beds were comfortable and owners were very responsive.

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful views of waterway and sunsets. Well stocked house was perfect for what we needed. We weren't there a lot and wished we had time to do beach, pool and relaxing things but that wasn't possible on this trip. We walked to the Lost Dog Cafe for breakfast and Taco Boy for dinner one night in Folly Beach. We'd go to both again, they were excellent. I will say that if we had brought the truck instead of the car, things would have been more difficult. There is space to park two cars in the garage end to end but that is a super tight fit. We had a crosstrek and I can tell you there is no kind of way a larger vehicle like a truck or full sized SUV could fit in the garage as the width and height of the garage door wouldn't allow it. You can get a pass and park near the entrance but during the times we were coming and going, those spots were already filled. That is really the only downside and we enjoyed the visit, the house, the location and the whole trip.

This townhome was beautiful! Nicely decorated, very welcoming, kitchen supplied nicely and beautiful views of the marsh! The pool was nice and the walk to the ocean was easy! The walk to town was also easy and plenty of good restaurants to try out! Can't wait to come back!

The VRBO is perfectly located with property and amenities just as described.đź’– The three of us friends are in our 60s and very healthy. We loved walking to/from and around Folly Beach (from the VRBO) but be prepared for a flight of stairs from the VRBO garage to the first floor and a second flight of stairs to the top level.
With our first visit to SC we were unprepared for the hordes of mosquitoes. The VRBO is screened and we had NO problems there but Charleston sightseeing (e.g., Mongolia Plantation) requires repellent!

This trip was a combination family beach vacation and a way for my husband to get back to Charleston, his favorite city. Ages ranged from 7 to 60, and we had 9 people. The sleeping situation was perfect, the double bed at the bottom of the one bunk bed worked perfect for the 2 youngest to share. It was a very quick walk to the beach, and only 20 minutes into the historic district of Charleston. We will definitely consider staying here again!

This place is a gem! This is the second time we have stayed here. Location is perfect you can walk to the beach and downtown. The townhome is clean and comes with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Folly including beach gear. Fully stocked kitchen with some empty cupboards which I love so that food can actually be put away. Bedding is nice/clean which is important to me. AC worked well. We did have two hiccups and the host promptly addressed them to our complete satisfaction (neither hiccup was the host's fault). Great communication. We were a family of five - 3 teens and we were very comfortable.

Southern Tides was a great vacation home for our family when visiting Folly Beach for our daughter's wedding. The house was a "home away from home". The house had plenty of room for the family! Great views, awesome pool, and an amazing dock. Great location to restaurants, shops, beach and golf cart rentals. The beach items are such a great amenity, especially when traveling by plane. Highly recommend this home for your next Folly vacation.

My two daughters, mom, and I really enjoyed our stay. We’ve stayed in several vacation homes and this was the cleanest. The only exception was the refrigerator in the garage. We also liked the location and walkability. Would definitely recommend if you don’t mind staying off the ocean a bit.

Great property for family vacation! Was just as seen in pictures. Property owner was very quick to respond to the few issues we had (all small). We loved that there were bikes and chairs for us to use. I would recommend renting a golf cart since parking can be difficult. However, we were close enough to walk since our kids are older. Would recommend and would stay again.

This property is in a fantastic location on the water and close to everything. The screened in deck was perfect for hanging out on while the littles napped upstairs. The availability of a pack n play on site was a great added bonus and the extra beach items and bikes in the garage would surely come in handy for stays in the summer.
The replacement of all of the neighbors external stairs caused a little bit of extra noise and blocked us from leaving/returning a couple of times but we understand that that’s nothing the owners of this rental could control.
We are looking forward to a return trip to Folly Beach and hope to stay at Southern Tides again.

Lovely condo with beautiful view on inland waterway. Well stocked and owners were very attentive to all our needs. Short walk to Folly Pier, beach and many great restuarants and bars. 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston. Great place, we would definitely book again!

Covid got in the way of us getting together for three years! This caused us to be very particularly about where we wanted to go/stay and Charleston/Folly Beach fit the bill perfectly!! This unit is lovely with easy access to downtown Folly Beach with many restaurants and it was a short drive to downtown Charleston. The unit had everything in it needed for a wonderful time! Oh and the view from the screen porch was lovely!

We enjoyed this rental so much. We love waterfront but prefer river/marsh over ocean. This location was perfect! Sunrise and Sunset.. front row seat for both from the back porch. My son enjoyed having access to the dock to fish and cast his crab net. The dolphins fed and played right outside the window a few days. We were a very short walk from the beach as well as all the restaurants and shops.
The rental itself, very cozy and very clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen very well furnished.
