About this house rental
You’ll love the Bamboo Garden House because of the natural, eco-friendly finishes, functional design, full kitchen, location, private off-street parking, and separation of space. BGH is close to public transportation, the city center and UO Campus (
Our space is designed and built specifically as a guest house. It is comfortably furnished and well-equipped. This home includes heating and air conditioning, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and linens, and eco-conscious finishes throughout. We have purposefully chosen a sofa-sleeper that is actually comfortable. It is a high-end sofa bed with an air spring mattress - no uncomfortable bar in your back!
Guests have access to their own private 915 square foot home, which includes one private, off-street parking space within a security gate. At check-in, you will be provided with access codes for the gate and entry into the home. A gate remote is available to you after check-in, as well.
We respect and value privacy ~ yours and ours. That being said, we are fully available to our guests to answer any questions or address any issues that arise during your stay. We are avid outdoor lovers and have suggestions for hikes, scenic drives, parks and the like. We have lived in Eugene for over 24 years and love to share about the reasons we love it here.
The Friendly Neighborhood features: Friendly Street Market, Friendly Street Food Cart Pod, Friendly Park, Madison Meadow, and easy access to downtown Eugene, the University of Oregon campus, Hayward Field and Autzen Stadium. Nearby is Market of Choice (larger grocer), restaurants, and entertainment ~ within a 5 minute drive.
LTD bus stop is less than 3 blocks away. On-street parking, if needed, is under 1 block from the Bamboo Garden House. 20 minute walk to downtown.
A few things of note for prospective guests:
We have a strict no-smoking policy for our home and property, which includes vaping, e-cigarettes, etc. We will charge a fee for evidence of smoking anywhere on the property.
We have aimed to create a hypo-allergenic space for guests with chemical and animal sensitivities. Our property caters to guests with these sensitivities. We use eco-friendly cleaning products and scent-free laundry and dish soaps. For these reasons, we ask that guests do not use chemical air-fresheners, laundry detergents or other strong smelling products.
Pets/animals are strictly not allowed as this is a hypo-allergenic space, catering to those with allergies.
No shoes worn in the house, please.

Parking in designated areas only.
Only registered guests overnight. Please provided the names of all adults.
Guest house has one exterior security camera.

This was my family's second time staying at Amy and Jason's property. We can't say enough positive things about their space. It was just as peaceful and serene as the first time. It is private, quiet, very clean, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. Amy and Jason were very communicative and helpful during our stay as well. I would stay here again and highly recommend it!

Our experience in the Bamboo Garden House exceeded our expectations. Our family stayed here while work was happening in our home nearby in Eugene. Amy and Jason made us feel very at home during a stressful time. The space itself is very private, incredibly clean and well appointed. I am very sensitive to allergens and appreciated attention to a hypoallergenic home. I can't say enough positive things about what a comfortable and pleasant VRBO experience this has been for us!

This house is absolutely stunning. You can see and feel how much thought and care went into the design. The place was sparkling clean, and didn’t feel like a vacation rental. It felt like a beautiful custom home that they designed for themselves. Higher-end finishes like Paperstone counters, hardwood floors, modern furniture…I could go on. The gated entry was great, as was the lighting, the bathroom, the shower, the bed…the kitchen is gorgeous too.Suffice to say, you will not be disappointed if you book this house. It honestly blew us away. Thanks, Jason and Amy!
