This property is managed by a 3rd party. They made check in, check out times changes and notated it at the very bottom of the VRBO confirmation of which the original information was in large Bold Lettering, was in very small lettering that was not noticeable Deceiving The house was PERFECT for our large family. Lots of room for everyone and with 2 of every appliance it made it very convenient for cleaning up and storing food. Loved the location and the hot-tub was great. My husband loved the steam shower The bath tub plug didn’t work, so was more difficult with the little ones getting them cleaned up. Make sure you don’t forget any condiments like salt, pepper and you might bring toilet paper unless you like rough single ply. We would totally rent again 👍

This home really just needs alot of TLC. A complete in depth cleaning and inspection of the house would help.

The property was wonderful for us. The sand yard was wonderful for playing games. The view was amazing. The beach was great and not very crowded. The house was one of the better set up places I’ve been for actually housing 12+ people. The two fridges, two dishwashers, laundry machines, etc, really made things so much more convenient for cooking for a group that big. The huge sectional actually allows most of the group to sit if desired. And again, the beach and the ocean view were truly spectacular.

Dates: August 6 to August 13 Persons: 10 adults I am voicing some issues and serious concerns on our stay at the Surf House. Yes, the house itself was beautiful and the location was fantastic! Now lets get to the high price tag and how they dropped the ball completely. 1. Bedroom 2: No access to closet. Could not hang any clothes, had to spread them out on couch and floor. UNACCEPTABLE 2. Bedroom 4: Curtain rod all stripped out in upper window sill. (curtain non functional) Two screws jammed in crooked just to keep curtain hanging. If cleaning crew ever actually cleaned window sill – it would have fallen. UNACCEPTABLE 3. Advertised they had PAC MAN game for entertainment. Does not work!! We specifically requested info on what was there for entertainment .. we were told a lie. 4. All fans in bedrooms: The wire cage surrounding the fan blades full of crud, dirt and lint. No one wanted to even use them. Where is the so called cleaning crew? Subpar level of cleaning! Disgusting!! 5. BBQ Grill: Absolutely disgusting!!! Only back burner would fire up .. but only a 1/4 inch at best. Spent 40 minutes cleaning all the crud off the grate and all the burners to get the bbq grill functional!! UNACCEPTABLE 6. Main ceiling fan: Ceiling fan in main room non functional ... it’s summertime. UNACCEPTABLE 7: Oven Issues: Inserted oven does not work properly – can not get hot enough to bake a pizza. We had to spend extra time using one oven on our “pizza night”. 8: Only 1 of the 2 washers works. 9. Curtain in bedroom 1 was put in backwards so the string etc to operate it is on the backside and must be pulled around to front. This has caused some damage in the upper right corner where all the friction is at. Future issues: 1. Bathroom sink on left side of bathroom between bedrooms 2 and 3 struggling to drain. 2. Bathroom sink in bathroom between bedrooms 5 and 6 can barely drain at all. I for see a call to someone at night around midnight wanting a plumber to come out and fix. 3. Lazy susan in kitchen is broke. Any one of these issues we could easily have overlooked and moved on. But to have all of these is just unacceptable. I believe all of this is unacceptable especially if you read the home’s description on how it is supposed to be top of the line.. Renter beware!!

This house and property were beyond perfect. The house itself was beautiful and very functional. We were very comfortable and happy with the home. Beach volleyball was a hit! The one downside was that the volleyball net was old and damaged, but we made it work! The property was outstanding. Having the beach in our backyard with easy beach access was incredible. We have a ton of beach lovers and some who only like short stints, so having the ability to please everyone was priceless. The house was very well furnished with everything we needed. We couldn’t have been happier, and we hope to stay here again next year!

Property was clean, great location and beach access. Not completely happy with property manager's responses to some issues such as lack of internet/cable TV all week. There were other minor non-functioning items which did not keep us from enjoying our stay but which we felt should have worked properly considering the cost of the rental.

This beach access and views from this house were awesome! The biggest downfall was the days leading up to check in and the many, many rules for the stay. We have stayed at many properties all over the world and never experienced one with such strict policies to sign before check in. The booking states check in at 4 and out at 11. We were told the fine print states in at 5 and out at 10. I was never able to locate that on the app, only in the documents I signed before check in. I had to reach out to the owners 3 times post check out to get my pet deposit refunded when we clearly communicated we wouldn't be bringing a pet 2 days before we checked in. We were told that the housekeepers would need to confirm that there was no pet in the home and then I had to reach out 3 times over 2 weeks to get the refund processed. The communication through the app was interesting. One person communicating seemed very rigid, maybe a company? When I would talk to Katie, one of the owners, she was more friendly and easier to communicate with. All in all, the backyard and beach access made our trip worth it. But, the communication and rules with this house increased my stress level and made it harder to have a relaxing weekend.

We enjoyed our time very much. An excellent neighborhood with very friendly neighbors and easy beach access. The kitchen is very functional for family dinners. It features an open concept mixed with a galley style kitchen, keeping the cooks in the conversation. Plenty of refrigeration for long stays with laundry both upstairs and down. The bedrooms are intelligently laid out with discrete bathroom access for rooms without an on suite. The property is kept in excellent condition and the house is very clean. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a large family or group of close friends.

Beautiful, large beach house with all the comforts of home. Oregon Coast weather co-operated so we had a great time in the house & on the beach. The added bonus was watching our team win (Go Beavs!!) on the big screen :)

I can't recommend this home enough. The house was perfect for our large extended family (8 adults and 6 children). Each couple had their own bedroom and the children's/play room was great for all of the kids. The sand area and back patio worked really well when the kids and adults weren't on the beach playing. During our stay we had deer visit us and saw seals on the beach. It's truly a magical spot!

We loved our stay in Neskowin at the beach house. It was so spacious, so beautiful, and the distance to the ocean is incredible. Highly recommendation-without hesitations!

WOW! What an amazing place to vacation. The home was perfect for us and our grandkids. From the view, the beautiful beach access to the amenities this home provided it was wonderful. We had gorgeous weather, the wind never blew at the home or the beach because of the hillsides that surround this almost private beach in Neskowin. The rocks in the water were so cool with mussels and starfish visible when the tide was out. We found many stones and sand dollars in our early morning walks. We could not fly a kite here, we had to go to Pacific City to do that, that is how FanTastiC the weather was. The fire pit was exceptional for hotdogs and smores. For evening there was a TV in every room which was so nice for relaxation. Location is perfect with easy access to Hwy 101 to Lincoln City or Pacific City for fun things to do and food. A couple things to be aware of, the stone steps to the beach are not for those with physical disabilities, there is no hand rail. Also, FYI the yard toys that are shown in the photos, are not at the property which was disappointing having kids with us. If you want chairs to take down to the beach you must take your own. Also, there is hardly any board games (maybe 3) so take your own, not even a cribbage board at the property. Take your own binoculars, this is the only Oregon beach home we have rented that didn't have binoculars and we paid more for this beach home that any other home we have ever rented. One last thing, there are absolutely no pantry items, not even salt and pepper. Overall the place was FANTASTIC! Book it, you will have no regrets! Happy Vacationing y'all!

We reserved Surf Cottage for my husband's 70th birthday family celebration. We had our three adult children, their spouses and 5 kids + infant, and two dogs. This rental exceded all our expectations. It was a perfect getaway, secluded and pretty much had the beach to ourselves, but plenty close to town for groceries. The kids LOVED the immediate access to the sandy area to play in morning till night. The firepit was a huge hit as was the hottub. The scenery is breathtaking too. The house accomodated all of us easily, especially enjoying the great room with large dining table and kids table. We hope to return again next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Linda T.
