About this house rental
Nestled in Raystown Lake, this charming house for $159 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This listing is perfect for the family coming to the Raystown Lake area. This house is just three miles from the Seven Points recreation area that includes access to public boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, dining, camping, and biking on the Allegrippis Trails. The house features two bedrooms and one full bath with an updated Bath Fitter tub and shower unit with sterdy safety bars. The main bedroom offers a queen sized bed, while the other bedroom has twin sized bunk beds and another twin bed separate from the bunks. New windows were installed in July 2022 for even more efficient heating and cooling with an updated style! We strive to be family friendly. While we appreciate a good time around the campfire, we want to remind future guests that parties or large gatherings are not permitted. If the intention of your getaway is to party late into the night with outside guests, we kindly ask that you look at other rental opportunities in the area. Neighbors are few and far between, but we want to be respectful of the ones that are here! There is carpet throughout the entire house. There is ample parking for boats and lots of room for the kids to run and play. We offer several amenities that we hope will make you feel right at home while you are here, including laundry facilities in the basement. We invite you to use the washer and dryer in the basement, but we do emphasize that the basement is not advertised living space at the lodge. While you are only a five minute drive from the lake, you are just seven miles from the conveniences of 24-hour shopping and restaurants in the town of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, eight miles from the quaint campus of Juniata College, thirty-five miles from the excitement of Altoona Curve baseball and shopping at the Logan Valley Mall, and forty miles from Penn State University including Penn State football at Beaver Stadium and a wide variety of events at the Bryce Jordan Center. Our unique getaway also offers a cottage on the property that would be perfect for the extended family to join in the country fun. The cottage sits just across the driveway. Property was exactly as described. Beautiful location with very scenic views. Very quiet and peaceful with deer that would venture onto the lawn. Host communicates extremely well and was very helpful. Home was very clean, beds and furniture comfortable. Rental costs is very reasonable. Plenty of area to walk your furry family member if they are a traveler too. We hope to return again sometime soon when visiting the area. Thanks to our hosts for a great stay!

We have used this renta in the past and as always it was amazing. The house is beautiful. Incredibly clean place inside and out. The location couldn’t have been better to get to the lake quickly each day. We had deer visit us each morning while we drank coffee on the enclosed porch. I just can’t say enough nice things. We will definitely be back!

This property is perfect for a family vacation. Just a short 5 minute drive to the lake or bike trails. The house sits on the back of the property which gives you plenty of privacy and the yard is very big which was great for our dog.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was one of the cleanest we've stayed in. I appreciate the quick responses to our questions. We did have one concern with the security in that the screen door windows weren't all able to be closed/locked and the basement door to the outside was also unlocked upon arrival. The kids loved seeing the deer each day and the location is great for a day at the lake or a visit to State College.

This place was great for my partner and I, our dog and my parents and their dog. Very close drive to the lake and marina, but yet quiet and secluded. Lots of deer around, so make sure you keep your dogs on a leash, but spotlessly clean and has all the things needed to cook for a weekend. Conveniently located woodpile at the driveway to buy so we didn’t have to bring our own wood. Check in and out was easy, and we had a great time! Thanks again!

This place has been our best vrbo we have stayed at near raystown lake. We really enjoyed the outdoor porch and watching deer nightly. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. Location was perfect, too. We saw the host and he was so friendly and kind! We will stay again and tell our friends!

This beautiful property was the perfect place for our family to spend Christmastogether. The owner of the property is wonderful - so pleasant and friendly, prompt to respond to any inquiries and eager to accommodate our needs. We truly could not have asked for a better experience, our holiday was awesome because we had such a lovely place to celebrate! The place was clean and spacious, the property is nice and private with a perfect yard for our dogs (and our kids lol) to play. We look forward to returning and would definitely love to stay here again - our children are already talking about next year!

This cabin was just as described. We enjoyed our stay. Perfect for our Penn State football weekend. Very clean, plenty of towels, paper products provided, excellent heat in the home and dog friendly. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view from the sun porch. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. Will definitely consider renting again…maybe a long winter weekend when snow is in the forecast.

I recently stayed here with my father, husband, son, and brother. My oldest brother was getting married in the area and staying in this rental and splitting cost amongst us was the easiest choice! Granted, during a busy wedding weekend-we didn’t get a chance to fully enjoy the house. But the property is beautiful and the home is very well taken care of! It looks exactly as advertised. My favorite area was the sunroom…perfect for morning coffee and taking in the views. The owner was easy to communicate with prior to our check in as well. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area!

Relaxing retreat in the country close to the lake and everything we needed.

This property is very clean. The owner takes great pride in providing all the basic needs to have a pleasant stay. My favorite spot was the screened porch, where I placed my portable hammock with stand. I relaxed and read a good book while listening to the birds chirping. On a clear night, one can enjoy watching the stars and relaxing some more.
It was nice having the owner's father nearby, in the event that we needed something. We had a lot of privacy even though there were people staying at the next door cottage. Everyone was friendly and respectful of each others space. I will not hesitate to stay at this place again.
Raystown Lake is very close to this property. The lower bike trails are about 11 miles from the property and provide a flat terrain next to the river to enjoy bike riding with the family. Don't forget to stop by the Meadows for delicious ice cream.

Our family has enjoyed coming to Raystown Lake for our yearly vacation. The house is incredibly cozy, and the kids enjoyed game nights out on the screened porch. We also loved seeing they wildlife on the property. Would highly recommend staying. Tim is very easy to communicate with and we enjoyed our stay!

Our Piney Ridge stay in a beautiful, quiet setting among Orchard trees and Nature is definetley worth a repeat! Home away from Home with all the ameneties at your fingertips. Early summer fun
My family and dog had a blast. Check in and out was super easy. Owner had very quick responses to a few questions. Saw turkey, rabbits, and lots of deer out the kitchen/ dining windows. Enjoyed a fire and smores several evenings. Visited lots of local attractions and it was nice to come back to a comfortable relaxing place.

This place was perfect for our trip. Very convenient to Seven Pts Boat ramp and could maneuver our 21’ bass boat in/ out of the drive easily. Tim was awesome with communications.

Perfect Getaway
We stayed at this property while in town for a wedding but I wish we were able to spend more time there. It is a perfect weekend getaway house and I hope to book it again in the future for a relaxing weekend. The house was clean, quiet and relaxing! Quiet Weekend Retreat
This property was perfect for our weekend getaway to Raystown Lake with our new boat. The accommodations were beyond what we expected. Every process, from booking, to check in, to check out was very easy. I will for sure be staying here again.

Great location halfway between kayaking and bike trails. There was nothing fancy, but very clean. The beds and couch were very comfortable. Lots of storage under the screened porch. Tim also put a hose out so we could wash our bikes. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
