Located in Kitty Hawk, this lovely house for $554 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Get away and enjoy a relaxing vacation on Kitty Hawk Bay in this sound front stunner. Our home has 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths and has been completely renovated. Free secured wifi access is provided. Our home is pet and smoke free. Our home is not suited for parties or events. Enter the 1st floor through many different doors on the wrap around porch. The main entrance takes you into a brand new, fully stocked for 16 guests, chef's kitchen with counter eating space and large eat in area. The first floor boasts water views through double sliding doors in the kitchen and family room, bringing the outdoors inside. The family room is two story with a floor to ceiling brick fireplace and deck access to large outdoor seating area. Sit and enjoy the osprey and other water fowl early morning feeding. A completely renovated master bedroom with king bed, and bath are located on the first floor. Master bath is new with double vanities, private water closet, glass enclosed steam shower with rainfall shower head and water view. 2nd bedroom, fresh paint and new carpet, has queen bed, large closet space and new full hall bath with tub/shower. 2nd floor has large loft area overlooking family room with water view, 2 spacious bedrooms and completely renovated full bath with double vanity. Bedroom 3 has new carpet and paint, 2 full beds, TV with DVD player and private sun deck. Bedroom 4 has 1 king bed, new paint and carpet and water view. The ground floor is great for kids and teens. A large bunk room with 4 sets of bunks (8 twin beds) is attached to a 2019 renovated full bath and game room containing a 50' flat screen TV with cable TV, foosball table and access to outside tiki bar. Climb the stairs to the sun bathing balcony complete with lounge chairs to see a beautiful view of the Albemarle Sound. The house is truly amazing, but the property is what makes this house stand out from all the others! It is located on a large manicured lawn with private access to your own 275 ft 2 story pier stretching out into the Kitty Hawk Bay. The sound is shallow water, safe for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and crabbing. We provide kayaks, a canoe, 2 stand up paddle boards for your enjoyment. Bring your own boat or jet skis. There is a public boat ramp right down the road to launch your water craft and then keep it docked at the end of the pier for your entire vacation! Crab traps are provided to catch a fresh dinner for your family to enjoy together that evening. Crab pot is provided as part of the fully stocked kitchen! A private outdoor shower with rainfall shower head and dressing room is located on the ground level for a refreshing shower after a day at the beach or on the water. A beautiful biking/running trail begins at the end of the driveway. We have 2 beach cruiser bikes for your enjoyment. Ride the path to Capt'n Franks for the best meal on the beach, other shops, mini golf or the beach! White Street Beach is a short walk, bike or drive from Sounds Perfect. White Street is a private beach with beautiful white sand and lots of shells for the beach comber. Many pieces of precious sea glass have also been found by the avid collector. Our first VRBO and first time at the outer banks. We were a group of 12, with lifelong friends and all our kids. The house was amazing. Spacious with just about everything possible needed. Kayaks. Bikes, paddle boards. Corn hole. Beds were comfortable. AC units worked well. Game room downstairs was where our “kids”, ages 13–26 mostly hung out but the kitchen and living and porch areas were large enough for all of us to hang out together. I loved all the personal touches Amy and her family added to the house and all the supplies left for us. I’ve never stayed at a BNB that left so much soap, trash bags and toilet paper lol.
Only think that took a little adjusting for us not being from the outer banks was the smell of the bay. During low tides, it was pungent, but out on the pier, it was just beautiful and we didn’t notice it as much. My daughter and I learned to paddle board this trip. Would highly recommend this place!

The teenagers especially liked the kayak, paddle board, and the crab traps. It was nice to have lots of places to hang out…decks, great room, and game room.

Wonderful Week!
We range from age 2 to 68. Our whole group had lots of things to do at this house! We had so much fun on the kayaks and swimming in the sound! Our days at the so-close beach were beautiful, too! We enjoyed hanging out together on the decks or on the pier. The sunsets were magical!

Great stay! Responsive host!
We had a great stay and the host was very responsive to my questions or any issues that came up. It's a beautiful home in a great location! The private beach access was difficult to find but we got there eventually. We would have liked the home to be a bit cleaner than it was but it was still pretty decent just very dusty. It needed a good deep clean and we probably left it cleaner than when we arrived. Wiped down cabinet handles, bathtub ledges, kitchen table and chairs and shelves. Vacuumed under kitchen table, couches, and other furniture since kids toys kept getting dropped and rolling under things (just super dusty everywhere!).
But again it was still overall a great stay and being right on the sound was so fun! Bikes, kayaks and beach equipment was all fantastic and convenient for our stay!

Our week was fantastic. The house was as spacious and clean as advertised. We had 7 of us across 4 generations for a family vacation. There was something for everyone to do. Our teen boys loved the game room, crab traps, and dock for fishing. The adults used the paddle boards, kayaks, tiki bar and the dock for sunsets. The water was very warm and the weather was perfect.

The only downer has been having to carry all the sheets, pillowcase, towels, washcloths, and beach towels/gear in our luggage to travel with cross country. Made them quite heavier and required additional luggage which was burdensome when we were already carrying luggage for ourselves and our littlest ones.
Overall, this property is absolutely wonderful and we feel lucky that we found it and we’re able to enjoy all that it and the area had to offer. Thank you, Stone family!

Fantastic views. Great location.
We were a group of 8 to include 2 boys. One who loves to fish and had a great time catching (and eating) crabs. The other loves the beach. So we had two very happy campers. The house is very comfortable. Lots of yard space and a long pier that gets you out into the water. We would love to go back.

House is clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The location on Kitty Hawk Bay is fantastic with incredible views. We spent most of our time on the awesome dock. Owner is great to work with!

Sweet Summertime
We had a great visit to the OBX. The home was lovely. It was the perfect place to make family memories. There was plenty of space for everyone and lots to do. We spent hours on the dock crabbing, paddle boarding, kayaking and visiting with each other. The sunsets were amazing!

Beautiful, creative, cozy home
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. Our family of 16 (8 adults, 8 kids) came together for the week. There was plenty of room inside for us without being on top of one another. The kids (3-13) had plenty of space to play and the older kids were able to find a quiet space to take a break when needed. The views are breathtaking, especially at daybreak and sunset. The oldest child was a little disappointed that we weren't right on the ocean, but that quickly changed when he realized how much more fun he could have in the bay than the ocean. The only downside was the size of the eating area in the kitchen. It's tight for 12 to be in there at once, but our youngest children finished their food quick, so we sat down when they got up (16 people all beginning a meal at the same time is not an easy thing to do any way). This home has everything as described and we would recommend it to anyone who asks. There are so many beautiful, creative touches in this house.

The house was awesome- large enough to accommodate all our family with room to spare. Loved the feeling of being in a home not just a rental- plenty of activities for all to enjoy. The weather was wonderful and enjoyed the beach. Would highly recommend this location- all arrangements were easy and very helpful to set up!

A returning spring crew!!
This is our 6th year returning to Sounds Perfect each May. The home was completing remodeled our first year and the owners have updated it every year since with amenities & water toys. Fishing is great in the spring too. We can't wait to return next year! So much to do yet we end up just hanging out at the end of the pier each evening!

Comfortable well loved vacation home
We had our family of 5 joined by my aunt, grandmother (99 years old), mother, brother, and nephew. We all enjoyed the great layout and the kids loved the ground floor and bunk room. The kitchen is well equipped and laid out well for lots of people. We never felt like we were tripping over people or crowded.
Had the weather been a bit more seasonable, we would have been able to enjoy more of the amenities offered for outdoor use.
This house is really equipped well for water fun! 2 canoes, 4 paddle boards, at least 4 kayaks, crab traps, a longboard and a great dock. As it weather was a little disagreeable, we played yard games, walked/ran on the adjacent waterfront trail, and enjoyed the indoor games.
The house has a great layout, but is starting to show its age in a few minor areas, nothing major though. The environment is harsh on the outer banks and can be a real challenge. The decks are great, and well furnished. The owner, Amy, was great and very responsive to any questions. Being a bike enthusiast, I noticed some of the bikes provided could use a little TLC. Some were not really ready for riding and would have needed work before taking out.
We talked immediately of returning in August, but it looks booked, so we will have to plan for 2019!

Amazing Treasure Discovered for our Thanksgiving Celebration in the Outer Banks
This beautiful property was beyond our expectations! Our group of 13 came from Virginia, Georgia, and North Carolina. We are an active bunch and have the owners ever provided the fun amenities! The weather was a bit chilly to Paddle Board but we made good use of one of the canoes, the bikes, the outdoor games, the crab traps(although we didn't catch any) and the fire pit by the sound. The well equipped kitchen was great for preparing all our meals. We especially enjoyed the spacious, unique kitchen table the owners had personalized! This home has lots of space to spread out and get comfortable. The owner Amy was great to work with and easily reached if we had questions. My family all want to come back again to "Sounds Perfect"!
