About this house rental
Situated in San Clemente, this charming house for $250 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This beautiful beach house sits on a bluff with a view of the ocean and within walking distance of a private beach. The beach nearby is safe for swimming and good for surfing and boogie boarding. It has a small clubhouse and a life guard on duty every day in the summer. The facilities include a basketball court, paddle tennis court, play area for small children, picnic tables and beachside barbeque grill. San Clemente is located half way between Los Angeles and San Diego, 20 minutes from Disneyland, 30 minutes to Legoland, an hour to Sea World. The village of San Clemente has many restaurants, including the Fisherman located on the pier, boutique and antiques shopping on Del Mar, the main street. It is close to Dana Point Harbor for sailboat or jet-ski renting, or to board a boat for a day on Catalina Island. The Surfrider Amtrack train runs along the coast from LA to San Diego if you want to take the train for a day's outing. Keywords: House

The property is in a nice location not far from the beach. Unfortunately the beach club was closed due to a plumbing problem and the beach is very rocky except at the shoreline. The owner was great in accommodating us as I made a mistake on the date by a day and she worked it out. The property is very clean but the furnishings are very dated. The view from the back patio is very pretty but I was overly concerned about the noise level as we were informed there were some sensitive neighbors so we didn’t spend much time out there but the view from inside with all the windows is just as beautiful. I’m not sure if they allow pets here but if they do, we saw a pack of very large coyotes roaming down the street.

The home was easy to get to and into. All the info given by the host was accurate and easy to follow. The only problem was the sliding screen door for the main back patio did not work well so keeping the door open for the fresh salty air was not an option. Also, the linens were not as clean and expected with mascara on the sheets and pillow case. Other than that it was a pleasant stay in sunny beautiful California 😊

We loved our short stay at this property. The house was extremely clean. It is an older home, as pictured, but is so comfortable and has a good vibe. Loved watching sunsets over the ocean from the backyard. The water heater broke down while we were there but the owner had it replaced immediately. The location is just up the hill from the beach—with plenty more gorgeous coastline to explore within 30 minutes. We had awesome surf conditions one day and really appreciated the boogie boards and beach chairs in the garage. If we return to this area we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We had construction going on when a friend wanted to come for a visit. I decided to rent a place rather than stress on what a pain it was going to be. A cute little beach town with all the peace that was needed.

Lovely spot in peaceful neighborhood with great views of the ocean. Was amazed how quiet the area was at night, with only sounds of the ocean breeze. The private beach with lifeguard on duty was great. Will definitely go back.

If you are looking for a place to stay that is roomy, clean and has all the amenities, this home is the perfect place. The location and the view is fabulous. As I am writing this I am listening to the ocean. It’s an older home but don’t let that deter you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Celebrating a Birthday!
We had a fantastic experience. Although the house is dated, everything was in working order. It is quite spacious with plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood is quiet and a 15 min. walk to the beach. With a view of the ocean and the ability to hear the waves at night was an unexpected pleasure. Beds, showers and appliances were more than adequate.We would use this rental again.

Nice sized property and location
Property as expected could do with a little work and we were a little disappointed that there was even some flooring missing between the bedrooms and bathroom, with just some foam taped down which made it seem quite untidy. The plus sides were the property is nice and spacious with a lovely patio area front and back so you have the choice of sun or shade. It’s a great location close to San Clemente, Dana point, and a Ralph’s store, and everyone around is really friendly.

Great House/ kitchen needs new stuff
House is older but loved the really big rooms. Beds were okay. Too soft for me but everyone else said they were comfortable. Loved the garden in front courtyard and the huge patio with great view. Temp outside got up to 79, so house got pretty warm late afternoon because tons of sun comes in. Wished they had shades to lower. Front courtyard was all shade though so that was comfortable even at warmest part of day. The kitchen pans were pretty yuck. The teflon pans were unusable and all the stuff below the stove was dirty. Rest of the kitchen and dishes were okay, but I hate not being able to cook eggs. Water temp and pressure in showers were good. WiFi no problems.
Couch and living room chairs more comfortable than they look online. Location was great. Tons close by. Really nice town. Lots of rocks on beach and got a little banged up when went in the water. Disappointed on day 2 when beach had signs posted about the bacteria levels (sewage). Did not go in the water because of cuts on knee from rocks on day one. I would definitely stay again but bring a couple kitchen items from home! The owner was great!

The perfect family getaway
We had such an amazing time staying in this home. We struggled a little bit checking in as the email I was sent had incorrect information on it, but I called JoAnn and she couldn’t have been sweeter about it. She took great care of us through out our stay. My youngest (3 years old) asked multiple times if we could “stay at this beach house forever and ever”. We made so many great memories and felt right at home. When we woke our kids up yesterday to make the long drive home every single one of them was in tears because they didn’t want to leave. I think we will have to plan a trip back here next summer!

The views were breathtaking, the house was spacious and clean. The location is great. There are so many board games which we loved playing with our kids. Can’t say enough good praises about it. We would love to come back and stay longer.

We were there for a short stay, view was beautiful, the house was very dated and the furniture needed to be cleaned. It was OK for two nights.

We had a great time! It was our family Christmas party and everyone enjoyed the ocean view.
We ate outside and everyone enjoyed the ocean view. The house was great! Well lighted and spacious. Hopefully have our family Christmas party there again next year
