About this cabin rental
Situated in Mount Hood Village, this lovely cabin for $265 per night is a great choice for your next break. RE: COVID - 19 We are taking the coronavirus/ COVID - 19 very seriously. Our cleaning service is taking additional measures during this time. All interior and exterior high touch surfaces including every handle and knob, are being wiped down in between stays in accordance with current COVID based protocols. We use Clorox Bleach wipes which are EPA registered to kill SARS-COVID 2, the virus that causes COVID 19 to clean with. The cabin is furnished with a MEDIFY AIR purifier that removes 99.95% of airborne COVID 19 particles after 1/2 hour of air circulation. We also have products for guests to use to clean themselves if they wish. We are health are practitioners and taking the containment of this virus very seriously. Please note: - For your protection and ours, a security camera it situated on the street side of the property. - The shower / full bathroom is located adjacent to and with little separation from the Primary bedroom. Loved this house. I was there for a solo getaway for hiking and skiing in the area. This spot was the perfect quiet, peaceful oasis to come back to and relax after a day out. The interior of the house was super cozy and felt like home the minute I walked in. The setting is amazing - I can’t wait to come back during the summer. I had a small issue with the hot tub that I only mention because the home owner and maintenance folks were amazingly responsive in getting it fixed.

I stayed at this cabin last year, and am back for a 2nd time. This will be a yearly retreat for me! This cabin is everything a person could need—amazing river view, well appointed kitchen, comfy mattress. This year it poured rain, and the sound on the roof in the master was all I needed for the deepest sleep I’ve gotten in ages.
Do give yourself a couple (or even 3!) of hours on your departure day for the robust check out requirements. Otherwise, a most perfect, sacred even, space.

We had the best weekend! It’s like we were a part of nature. Sitting in the hot tub in the middle of the night listening to the river was amazing!

We were very pleased with the cabin. It was just as described and very clean. The setting is serene. Right alongside the stream that is only a few feet from the cabin’s deck. We enjoyed the hot tub which is surrounded on three sides by a privacy fence. The kitchen was well equipped with everything one could possibly need and the internet was fast and reliable. There is a television with cable. Communication with the host was easy. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

The cabin was great. The rivee outside was amazing. Also so close to lots of outside adventures within 15 minutes of cabin. Will absolutely be coming back!

We also had a great time playing in Salmon River at the fish viewing park right across the street. The cabin was well-stocked and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place!

Great central location too. We were able to explore a circle around Mt Hood with ease. Owner communicated quickly and kept us informed of some repairs underway outside (no impact to us at all. Cabin pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful tranquil setting, absolute privacy, with flowing river sounding at a perfect volume to guarantee relaxation. Lilli was awesome and friendly. The view, the smell of the bautiful outdoors and a great host...can't get much better.

Couldn't be better. Private, riverside, hot tub, clean. We could open the sliding glass door from the living room and hear/see the river. The hot tub overlooks the river. Fire pit next to the river and the wood burning fireplace inside is great.

What a beautiful place! Owner was amazing and communication was great. Hot tub was great, central location, but the river and sounds were magical. We stayed at Skamania Lodge our last night of vacation and both agreed we should have stayed here the last night. Beyond relaxing

Beautiful handcrafted wood cabin near the Sandy River. Very quiet Nice stainless cookware but no steak knives. I was dismayed when we went to do laundry upon our departure their was no bleach of any kind, not even oxygen bleach. Who ever did the last load set the machine for cold wash and rinse. Not very sanitary.
The wood stove had not been cleaned. There was only a newspaper, no kindling though we brought our own but be warned. The fireplace tools are missing the brush.
We found candy wrappers under one bed. We could not find any spa shock or ice melt. There also was no hair conditioner. One cabinet did have some dry goods, but there were no condiments of any kind in the fridge.
Communication with the owner was good but she said the snow shovel had been broken and to use the dog poop shovel instead. Yuck
The temperature knob on the spa has been broken off making it difficult. but not impossible to adjust. There is limited TV options and we were unable to use our streaming services.
The well water is quite hard so you may want to bring your own for drinking.
I agree with another reviewer that it is nice to have a noon check out, but it does take some time to strip beds, do laundry, sweep, etc.

The location of this cabin next to the Sandy River was perfect, we love being able to hear the water from the cabin. A few minutes into our stay here we were so calm and content. Easy to settle in - turned up the hot tub heat, took a little walk...made a simple dinner, made a fabulous fire with wood from the store a couple miles towards the mountain.
The river, so very right there, is so lovely, soothing.
The cabin is simple and Zen and very comfortable. Kitchen has everything. Beds comfy. Shower nice and hot. Good assortment of DVDs and very cozy sofa to cuddle on together. Our dog loved it there also.
Our three nights went by slowly and yet too fast. Lots of time sitting beside the river or taking short walks. Started and ended each day with long soaks in the hot tub. We felt we didn't need to go anywhere else, and we love that when we go away. We did go hike the Salmon River Trail, a favorite. It was stunning as always.
The only thing I would have appreciated was more blankets for the master bed. I love a cool air sleep but with warm layer options. The thin blanket and also thin duvet was not quite enough. I had brought a couple throw blankets and that helped.
We have now put this wonderful cabin in our repertoire of places to return to again and again. 'Our' river place.

My daughters and I had such a lovely time. We hiked by the river and around the neighborhood. We had a warm fire while we did puzzles . We made great use of the hot tub And cooked some delicious food. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy, we didn’t want to leave.

The house is beautiful with a giant picture window looking out over the river. Everything was as advertised except that the cleaning crew forgot to come. The owner answered the phone and we talked through the options efficiently. She offered to have the cleaning person come right away but at that point we decided it wasn’t necessary. She refunded the cleaning deposit and a little extra for our trouble. Sometimes these things happen and I don’t blame the owner for this one. We would stay again.
