Situated in Bent Creek, this lovely house for $266 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Experience Asheville, Bent Creek hiking/biking trails, the Pisgah National Forest, the NC Arboretum, the beach at Lake Powhatan, warm days, and cool nights all within just minutes from Lazy Bear Lodge. This remodeled four-bedroom and three-bath home is perfect for family/friends. Enjoy a warm fully stocked kitchen, island bar stools, a large table with six chairs, and more folding chairs in the garage. The living room has a large TV over the wood-burning fireplace, remote candles, and plenty of comfy seating and is open to the dining room and kitchen. The main level has three bedrooms - Two guest bedrooms and one master bedroom. The guest rooms have queen-size beds and the master has an electric king-size bed (the entire bed can raise up/down ). There's also a master bathroom attached. The lower level has one “bunkhouse” style bedroom with an electric tilting queen bed, a bunk bed with twin on top and double on bottom, a full bathroom, and a family room with 70 inch TV. The fireplace is decorative only. All are situated on a large corner lot with an oversized driveway with plenty of parking. No need for four-wheel drive as there are no steep or winding roads. This is a complete home on its own land with NO homeowner on-premise to disturb you or your privacy. NO shared yards or patios. Not an apartment, duplex, guest house, or tiny house but an entire home just for you. The home and grounds are all yours during your stay. Enjoy the house, fire pit area, and the grounds at your leisure. ** ALL Guests MUST be registered when booking. The number of adults and kids, add your dog too if coming. The house was perfect! It is so cozy and welcoming. The hosts have thought of everything that is needed to make a stay here very relaxing. The location was very good, a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend.

We thought that the property was really nice. Comfortable beds, full kitchen with everything you need. Three bathrooms with plenty of towels and even body and hair soap. Excellent shopping and restaurants nearby the quiet neighborhood. We were thrilled to see a momma bear with 2 cubs nearby the house. We traveled with my 86 year old mom and the stairs and steps were a bit of an issue for her. Plan on assisting a person with mobility issues if they will be on the main level. There is a ground level with nice living area, TV, bed and bath so a person who cannot do stairs or steps could easily be tucked in on that level. The yard is fenced, which was nice for our little dog. There is a grill, and there is a fire pit for roasting those marshmallows but bring some wood. We loved our stay and our host, Darlene is awesome.

Our entire party was delighted by this immaculate and thoughtfully renovated home. We were so comfortable and relaxed at this property, it was a joy to stay. Outstanding communication from the property management team, and we had everything we needed during our stay. We particularly appreciated the extra level of cleanliness this house exhibited. Just an incredible property with outstanding amenities. The beds were heavenly, we all slept like babies during our visit! Can’t wait to return to Lazy Bear Lodge.

All was good. I just thought the property was more rural. It was in a housing development.
The property is NOT over 3000 sq ft. They are counting the garage and laundry room in their equation. We were expecting the over 3000 sq of space as we had 11 people. It was a bit cramped at times.
The bottom sheets on the bed in the master bedroom do not fit. No matter how many times we fixed the sheets they popped off. We ended up sleeping on the mattress pad. 🙁
The kitchen was comfortable and easy to work in.
The upstairs bathrooms were small, but clean and new.

This is our 4th VRBO stay in the Asheville area and the best ever. The house is so comfortable and well laid out for a group to spend time together. The location is excellent with nearby trails all around. Great places to eat are nearby as well so you don’t even need to drive into Asheville. We loved it!

Spacious and comfortable for 6 adults and two small children. Pack and play and high chair were a plus. Dog friendly with fenced yard made walking easy. Asheville and Biltmore about 20 minutes away. We had some serious rain which curtailed some of our plans so we will definitely be back!

We give Lazy Bear Lodge an A+ rating. Spacious home, just right for 3 couples, with every comfort and convenience we could ask for. The home was well equipped, comfortable, very clean, impeccably managed. And the location was perfect with close proximity to all that Asheville has to offer. This neighborhood and the property is beautiful. 20 minutes from downtown, 15 from the Biltmore, Sierra Nevada, RAD, and some other cool stuff. 9 of us stayed here comfortably. The stairs going up are steep. Our dogs could not go up and down them. Every time we left, we took them with us. We’d had to go down the hill in the back yard and out the side gate. Just have to be careful. There are no blinds or curtain in the common areas. You’re on a hill so anyone driving by or the neighbor who’s house is higher can see right in. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, even on the beds. That was no explained prior, but there’s a tractor supply around the corner and they have good dog beds. The host was quick to respond to any messages. There were a few things we weren’t too happy with when it came to cleaning and heads up showing up to the house. There was broken glass on the balcony and the fire pit area. The towels used in the bathroom’s smelled like mildew and there was no warning or notification that lawn maintenance was going to show up. We were outside with the dogs when we heard and saw them coming into the backyard. After the lawn person left, they left the gate open. All around though, the stay was amazing. I’d book the place again for a large group. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials to have a peaceful stay in.

Spacious, well-equipped, great location rental
My family was so pleased with this rental property. Everything was well stocked, clean, and tons of room for lots of people. The backyard was great for fires in the evening and plenty of room for kids to run and play outside in a fenced area. Communication with the property managers was excellent. Everything we needed was stocked in the house. I would stay here again.

Great Bent Creek Location
This house was really nice overall- A few things to keep in mind are the differential between the lower level and upper level with the AC on is 10-15 degrees. Both my children had to move out of the bunk room to the upstairs bedrooms because it was freezing down there and warmish on the second level even with the fan running continuously. The beds were great but it was disappointing to find that although there are 4 pillows on the kind bed two had shams that when removed had no pillow cases so were unusable. We searched but didn't find any extra pillowcases. The bed also had nice linens but that's it. There's no blanket on the bed. Just sheets and a coverlet, Based on their check out instructions of stripping only linens and leaving the coverlet on the bed it is clear that it isn't getting cleaned regularly which was less than desirable. That said- the furnishings were nice, the yard was really cute and the location was great. We'd stay there again if the above items were remedied.

I would recommend some night lights for the bathrooms as a small thing that would be helpful and also, a bedroom clock for each room. There was supposed to be firewood for the fire pit, but that was unavailable because of labor issues related to covid. the gas fireplace was lovely, though, and well used. Great walk in showers. Overall, a good experience.

Great place for family or girls trip
This place was clean and cozy. It had everything we needed and more. The fire pit and fireplaces were very accommodating and the decor was on point for our girls hiking/yoga birthday trip. My dogs came up and loved the backyard and dog doors! Plenty of garbage cans and the laundry room was impressive! I had a few groups come in throughout my stay and washing sheets was a breeze. So close to all the things too. We did everything we could and the drives were minimal. The nearby outlet mall was a great stop on a drizzly day and great charging stations for my electric car. Lots of fun was had!! Great storage for clothes and toiletries and plenty of closet space for luggage and shopping bags!

Asheville Family vacation
Property was just as described. Very comfortable for 6 adults and 3 young teens. We used this as our home base while visiting sites of both Asheville and trails/ day hikes. Kitchen was great size for preparing meals and we used the outdoor firepit as well. Enjoyed our stay.

Great House for a Small Family Reunion
This house is extremely well stocked and everything was clean! The upstairs bedrooms all have very comfortable beds with remote controls to adjust their height. These beds were by far the most comfortable beds I have encountered in a rental! The downstairs beds were also very comfortable, but they were not adjustable like the upstairs beds.
We did have a small issue with the downstairs bathroom. When we flushed the toilet, you could smell sewage through the sink. However, after a few flushes over a couple of days, the smell disappeared, so it may have just been that the bathroom had not been used in a while and some sewage was sitting in the pump. To be safe, we didn't use the downstairs shower or sink. There were two full bathrooms upstairs, so it wasn't a huge issue.
Overall, the property managers were responsive, and when I notified them of the smell, they said they would let their staff know. However, we never heard back after that, and some follow-up would have been nice. That's the only reason I gave their communication 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
The backyard was great for our furry family members, and we used the fire pit to roast marshmallows a couple of nights.
The neighborhood is great! Lots of families out walking every day and the neighbors are very friendly. It was quiet at night and seemed very safe. The house was close to hiking, and we were 15 to 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. Lots of shopping and groceries close by as well!
We really enjoyed our trip to Asheville and we would look into renting this house again!
