Situated in Springfield, this charming house for $374 per night is a great option for your next trip. My home is close (within a few minutes) to Washington Park, Restaurants and Dining, White Oaks Mall, Memorial & St. John's Hospital, State Fairgrounds, historic downtown and Abraham Lincoln Museum/Library, Tomb, Law Offices and Old State Capitol . You’ll love my home because of the neighborhood, the Loom & Leaf organic memory foam beds (superior to Tempurpedic), the fully equipped and stocked gourmet kitchen with modern high end appliances, the coziness, three levels for privacy including home entertainment system on lower level. My home is good for couples, business travelers, and families including children. This is my personal vacation home and is optimally furnished and equipped for the entire family, bring your clothes and toothbrush, everything else is provided beyond your food and beverages! The Loom and Leaf mattresses fare far superior to Tempurpedic and other cheap uncomfortable mattresses most others and hotels use. They cost up to 1,000% more than the cheap mattresses so most do not pay the extra cost. Two sets of modern new washers and dryers plus fully equipped kitchen to cook gourmet meals. The neighborhood: Super high quality homes and neighbors, very safe, lots of trees, very quiet neighborhood with lots of places to ride bikes and walk. 3 - 10 minutes to most all places I listed in Springfield IL for things to do, Lincoln attractions, historic downtown, dining, mall, etc. Getting around: Uber and Left are quite active in Springfield and provide excellent quick service I have personally used them. The SPI airport has flights from Dallas or Chicago via American Airlines. The STL airport in St Louis is a major international airport with non stop flights from most major cities and is only a 1.5 hour drive. I often fly into STL and rent a car there. SPI airport has rental cars also. Guest access: 100% access including garage. Interaction with guests: You are welcome to email or call or text my cell for any problems, advice or questions, I grew up in IL and know they area very well. Other things to note: I have extra beds in basement bedroom they are fold away foam mattresses, this foam mattress is far more comfortable compared to air mattresses and has its own support frame so you are not sleeping on floor. I have also now purchased two additional (three total) fold away foam mattress twin size beds so 12 can sleep comfortably in Home. The master is a king size bed, three bedrooms have queen size beds. A twin size bed has been added to basement.

The only improvement we would suggest is the deck. Nails are lifting and the extreme slant of the deck was dangerous for our 80 year old parents.

Four senior couples stayed at this VRBO for 5 days/4 nights. We loved the size of the home which gave us plenty room to enjoy our visit while in Springfield. The large kitchen and dining room gave us opportunity to prepare several meals and enjoy breakfasts every day. The family room and living room provided separate spaces for women/men visiting and TV watching. Sitting on deck was pleasant. Only negative comments are the front door handle needs to be repaired (we taped it with masking tape), the deck is in need of repair and the house would be much better if it were significantly updated.

What a beautiful place to enjoy our 48th College Reunion! From the minute we inquired about the home until we left - everything was easy and an absolute pleasure. We particularly loved the family room with the extra comfortable couch and chairs. The kitchen was well appointed and we talked late into the night. The bedrooms were spotless. The linens fresh and the bathrooms squeaky clean. What a great trip we had!

Our extended family has stayed in this home twice. Wayne is very responsive to any concerns. We needed the extra beds, and he had them set up for us when we arrived! Overall, we had a wonderful time and visit!

This property had great views and was close to everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable and we would come back to it and stay. It had only the basics. When we called for supplies we received them right away. We needed to call to get the code and recieved an email telling us we could check in early if we wanted to but the email was sent at 5:30 which did us no good. Over all we loved the place.

Wayne was an attentive host and his home is a really nice place in a great neighborhood in Springfield. We were super close to many locations and a short walk to an excellent park. The home itself was spacious, well appointed, and in great shape throughout. We'd definitely stay here again.

Outside and neighborhood were beautiful. Inside could use some updating. Furniture in sitting room off kitchen/dining room needs cleaned. Carpet on stairs to upper level needs cleaned or replaced. Not every bathroom had extra TP and we couldn't find any in the closets. A couple of the bathrooms had electrical outlets that did not work. The kitchen and master bedroom were great and had been updated.

This is a lovely home in a convenient location for visiting Springfield and its environs. We really enjoyed being in this neighborhood for a few days. The furniture is very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. However, the lack of cleanliness was problematic. We found fingernail clippings on the coffee table in the living room, dirt on the floor of the bedrooms, and food residue on the kitchen countertops. The refrigerator was also dirty with food residue. The trash cans in the garage were full and very fragrant when we arrived. In addition, we were unable to use any of the televisions in the house during our stay, because the router had been changed and the TVs had not been set up prior to our arrival. We had to set up the wifi on the new router ourselves.

This property is very nice - lots of amenities. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were not cluttered, refrigerator was completely empty, nice washer and dryer, convenient bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms.

Our family ( all from California) gathered to attend and celebrate our son’s graduation from UIS. Your house was perfect for our group, room for everyone sleep, shower, visit and just hang out. It reminded all of us of the “Home Alone” house. It is comfortable, clean and has everything we needed. If our son decides to stay in Springfield, we’ll be back!

This home had plenty of space for our family to gather and celebrate the Christmas holiday together! The layout was great, the kitchen is big and well stocked with utensils, dishes and cooking pans and we really enjoyed our stay. It could have used a bit more cleaning/fixing up in places and one of the queen mattresses was pretty hard, but the rest were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again though. Thanks for hosting out family.

If you are trying to gather "three" generations under one roof, this is the vacation rental! Beds, personal space, bathrooms, and a kitchen set up to cook for the group. We even had use of the garage for our cars. If in the area again, will book this house.
