Overall, the home was very comfy and relaxing. The hot tub was great and the house had good amenities. Dishes and kitchen appliances could be cleaner.

We loved the privacy.

The house was cute and we loved that it had private beach access. Be careful, the deck with the hot tub is dangerous. It is VERY slippery with algae and my husband and I slipped more than once even with grippy xtra tuffs on.

Right next to the beach. You can hear the waves crashing the entire time

This is the second time we've stayed at this house. We spend a lot of time at the beach and in the mountains and this is the perfect home base. Comfortable, cozy, and clean and the hot tub is just what the doctor orders after a long day
This time the previous guest had not cleaned up after their dog outside so that was a bummer, but everything else was great. We will be back!

We love this place! The beach is a short walk through an adorable path. We love it so much this was our second time back. This may become our yearly stay in Yachats.

This place was beyond great. Had everything we needed kitchen wise. Beds were cozy, bathroom spacious. Outstanding selection of films for chilly nights in. Beach access is a tad steep if your knees make that wet pop rocks sound, but there are plenty of other spots to get to the water. Shout out to Leroy's, amazing delicious breakfast, amazing staff. I wish I could remember the lil coffee hut we stopped at, but she was slanging bagels and they were sooo good. The fire pit outside was over grown, but there was a fireplace inside so it worked out. The place was fantastic. Also shout out to the kind neighbor who thought we locked ourselves out. You're a sweetheart.

This house was located in a great area and had everything we needed for our stay at the beach! We loved using the hot tub and very much appreciated the mud room to get all the sand off of things prior to coming into the house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, and there was plenty to keep us entertained. The beach was 30 seconds away so we were able to go whenever we wanted. Even during the busiest time of year, the beach wasn't packed. Loved the artwork as well. The only thing I would change is the mattress on the main bedroom bed. With two people on it, you roll to the middle. Even so, I would 100% stay here again! Exactly what we were looking for!

The beach access was great. If you have any mobility issues this will not work as there are are a few large rocks you will have to climb over. The hot tube was a nice plus. The over all house worked but wasn't the best. Sleep eat then go explore.

All you need to have a wonderful couple of day beach vacay! Location was absolutely perfect to check out Yachats. Would come back!

Nice place to relax, enjoyed the hot tub, short access to beach.

The hot tub was not usable. It's cover is worn out and does not keep out debris. The water didn't look clean.
The faucet in the shower is broken and comes off.

Very cute and clean house right near the beach. Only real draw back was the broken hot tub cover but the tub itself was very nice on a cold winters night. Bonus points for the great VHS collection.

A few things were broken when we got there including the hot tub cover in half and water logged which it was heavy to remove and put back on. The backporch light was out and couldn't see the steps to the hot tub. The bathtub water handle was also broken and had to figure out how to use broken handle.

I would call this a Very nice Quaint home. Nothing elaborate, but affordable and a very short walk to the beach although it would not be for those who have trouble with stair. (The trail is to the NORTH of the house- there is no indication in the house as to how to get to the trail)
Hot tub was well kept and the house was clean. 5 star for housing and cleanliness, but a 2 for exterior upkeep. Not sure if Vacasa or who is in charge of that, but...
The pictures you see on Vacasa are not up to date and false advertising in my opinion. The fire pit is way over grown, and weeds (as in grass weeds) growing up on to the deck and around the house... the shrubs are fine in that they make the house secluded...very nice in that regard.
If the outside fire pit would have been accessible and clean, I would have given this a 5 star.
Very, Quiet, pleasant and out of the way.
Thank you to the owners!!!!!

Quiet and private. However, the house was in disrepair.

There is a bit of a strong animal odor when you first enter but it goes away once you cook and use the fireplace. We were expecting to use the cute fire pit shown in the photos but when we arrived there was only a circular area with a burn spot in the middle. No seating, no fire pit. We were disappointed until we realized the fireplace worked so we made our s’mores there. Plus we were out of the drizzle. The hot tub is in full view of the (quiet) road and neighboring houses so we chose not to use it. Also, there’s no dishwasher (which I failed to notice in the listing so that’s on me.) The stairs to the beach were steps away from the front door. At the bottom, the rope to help across the boulders had fallen or been washed down but the boulders were very easy to get across and we are not very active people. However, anyone who is elderly or has disabilities may have issues with them. Though again, we had no problem reaching the beach. It was beautiful. We only saw a handful of other people on our beach walk so it felt very private and secluded. The cabin is cozy an has an amazing heater. It warms up fast! All in all, a fun trip.

Only thing I would recommend is anti slip stuff on deck. I slipped twice on my back when walking to jacuzzi.

This 2 bedroom home. Is older but is perfect for relaxing within the sound of the ocean. Numerous lighting fixtures prevented darkness on cloudy days within the tree enclosed house. The artwork provided many interesting conversations. Warm, cozy retreat.

A cozy spot with everything we needed! We came with our two pups and enjoyed the beach access, the hot tub (without the dogs, obviously) and a thoughtfully provisioned kitchen when it comes to pots/pans etc. We left behind a few deodorizing tools but it was nothing unexpected at a beachy location with a ton of moisture. No direct beach view - but perfect otherwise! (And no beach view is advertised ... that's just the only thing I can think of that would make it a better spot). Would happily stay here again.

loved being close to the beach, about a 10 minute drive from Cape Perpetua

Cozy and close to the beach. It was in the perfect location for our week in the Oregon Coast area. Place was tidy and comfy. It had a bit of an odor upon arrival, but dissipated as doors were opened up and aired out. Think it was just closed up for a bit is all. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here, the hot tub was nice in the evenings, and its closeness to the beach was great! Cute place! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here.

Loved the location, tucked in the woods but steps from the beach. Used the skim board and boogie boards, hot tub, and watched Joe dirt on vhs. Hot sourdough from the mercantile and long walks on the beach.

First, since reception is terrible here, which was noted, though the code to access the home did not work....3 times and had to drive 5 minutes one way for each code until it worked. Once entering the home it smelled heavily of sewer and mold. The windows had to remain open and we purchased a candle to help. All windows have mol, as well as some areas on the ceiling and the carpet has stains everywhere. They were very attentive to our issue of getting into the home. The hot tub has way too much chemical in it and the outside isn't very well maintained. The bathroom is nicely redone and the shower pressure was great. The walkway to the beach was nice but overall this unit should not be rented and I have requested a refund

The little cottage was just a few miles north of the sweet town of yachats. A must stop on the coast. Definitely eat @ the Drift Inn! Hot tub was clean and nice, we also used the firepit. Great spacious bathroom, great beds. Tons of awesome books to read and relax! There was no coffee - just an open bag of beans in the cabinet. FYI. Beach is expansive, wild, beautiful sunsets. Chilly, need a jacket! Fun using rope to go across rocks from the steps down to beach. I recommend this place.

Absolutely loved this little cottage and the beach access was awesome! So quiet and secluded. If I had any complaints it was that the door locked us out early. So glad I had everything out when the door closed . Other than that everything was perfect 🥰

There was mold in the windows that made us sick. There was rat droppings in the cabinet and they told us the hot tub was dirty when they arrived and they had to clean it but when we arrived it was still dirty

This hideaway was amazing my kids and I had a blast, we needed at least two more nights. Thank you vacasa. :)

This place was great, a short walk with the dogs to the beach, a stone's throw from lots of sight seeing places, hiking and good eating. It's like a cocoon you can come back to, TV if you want, time machine if you play the VCR tapes. Cozy fireplace and outside a pit for outdoor fire and S'mores. We would have liked to go back again this summer but sadly it's all booked out. We'll be back next year.

We had a great time at this house on a stormy weekend in January. This was my Christmas present to my partner, a weekend of unlimited hot tub access, and a getaway was much needed after all the quarantining this last year. The accommodations here were great and it was easy to make ourselves at home, and most importantly, the hot tub worked without fail, and the short trail directly to the shore was a real perk.I don’t want to prattle on and on, as that isn’t the point of a review like this, but I did want to mention: if you want to take an extended trip down memory lane, I highly recommend turning on the VHS labeled “Grateful Dead concert/Simpson.” As the label implies, there’s some early ‘90s GD, and an episode of The Simpsons, and then the surprise was several hours’ worth of Days of Our Lives, complete with ‘90s commercials and everything (the commercials were easily the best part of the video). Thanks for the trip! :)

The home was comfortable and clean, but the property itself was kind of a mess. The yard could use some clean-up. If we had a toddler, we would have considered it unsafe. Our teenager, however, was able to recognize the dangers of the broken bridge in the swampy area. We were unable to get the lockboxes to work for the house key and the hot tub key, even after looking at your resources online. Luckily, the house had been left open for us and the hot tub key was in the lock. The hot tub was enjoyable and relaxing, but the deck was pretty slick after the rain. There are some exposed hot wires under the stove hood that should have a wire nut on them for safety.Overall, we enjoyed our trip to a familiar spot we love, Yachats!. It was a much needed respite for our family in this time of COVID lockdown. There was a good selection of movies and entertainment available which we appreciated a lot on the rainy days and early nights. We had wifi, but no cell phone service. Not having the phone ring for 5 days was great! The beds were also VERY comfortable! If we were to consider a trip like this again to the same area, we would probably look around for something else, but wouldn't say definitely not to this location.
