What a perfect week! So much to do on the property and close by. Our family, including 3 older teens, had an amazing time.
The house had a well appointed kitchen, a water cooler and enough space for everyone to have their own little oasis. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have bathrooms in every bedroom.
We had friends on the island, so we didn’t cook much, however the grocery store was close. Andrew was great, but since we already had some local connections, we didn’t often need his assistance.
We recommend renting a car to get around the island. There is very little traffic and driving on the opposite side of the street was not a difficult adjustment. We used Avis and probably over paid.
The location was the best part of the trip. Right on the water we were able to take a morning walk to the waterway. Round trip it was about 1.5 hours. We saw lemon sharks cruising the shore at sunrise, but never during the day while snorkeling the reefs.
Our teens loved walking to the floating bar in the waterway. We felt the area to be very safe and didn’t worry about them.
We tried the fish fry at Taino beach on Wednesday night. Fun experience! Our teens wanted to stay later for that too, but we didn’t feel good about leaving them there.
We will recommend this property to any of our friends heading to Freeport in the future and hope it doesn’t become so popular that we can’t return.

Every year my long time friend of 50 years take a trip somewhere new. We have traveled all over the world and have visited many Carribean Islands. The people on this island are the most friendly and welcoming thus far! The house is very spacious and in a great safe location which is very important for two 65 yr old women traveling alone. The views everyday from the deck is breathtaking. The communication with the owner and his manager was great! Andrew and his family were so accommodating from beginning to end. We rented a car from Brads and explored the island. There is a restaurant a few minutes walk down the beach called Bahama Bay we went to a few times. Our favorite was the Greek Restaurant at the Port Lucaya Market place. Great Gyros to compare to the ones we had in Greece. Thanks Bruce and Andrew! We look forward to visiting the island again!!!😎

This house is amazing. Communication with the Owner was excellent. The Property Manager was very helpful, cooked us meals before we got there and picked up a few items at the grocery store for us. The location was perfect. Just far enough away from all the tourists and close enough to go to the Grocery Store, Shopping and Excursions. The water is beautiful, the location is great and of course we did not want to leave. Just a quick walk down the beach is Banana Bay Restaurant where you can rent a lounge chair for $5 and order drinks and lunch. At low tide a sand bar appears and is awesome to walk out on. You wont be disappointed with this rental.

This beautiful home is steps from a quiet beach. The gated community is in an upscale part of the island and is very safe. In fact, this was our first time to Grand Bahama. We have vacationed extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central America, and found the people on Grand Bahama to be friendlier and warmer than most places we’ve visited.
The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and towels are provided. Andrew, and his wife and kids, tend to any needs you or the house may require. They do it, also, efficiently and without being intrusive. I can’t say enough nice things about them.
The kitchen is nice and meal prep is easy. However, we ate breakfast at the house, then went out for dinner; it’s vacation after all. Many restaurants are nearby. Our favorites are a walk down the beach: Banana Bay is a close walk and the Sand Bar a longer walk past the Wyndham.
A car is definitely recommended. We used Brads. It was much cheaper, however we got a 12 year old Chevy Impala. None the less, it was well maintained and we had zero issues, and quite a few laughs about it. I would use them again. Many good restaurants can be found not too far from the house near Lucaya Marketplace. Groceries, gas, and liquor stores are all close by.
The owner, Bruce, was nice to work with and helped us with all our questions. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. I understand why Bruce and his wife fell in love with this place. We are already talking about a return trip.

We met locals at the Fort Lauderdale airport who gave us a list of restaurants which was really helpful. Banana Bay is a short 7 minute walk from the house. The Sand Bar is literally built on the sand and has a great conch sandwich. We enjoyed Stone Crab (great lobster), Pier 1 (they feed the local sharks from the pier at 7,8,9 pm), Cappachinos (great Italian), Agave (Mexican). In the Port Lucaya Market, there is a little conch/seafood stand which was awesome. Be sure to find Terry’s Conch stand in Taino beach has the best conch salad. We did a fishing trip with Lilb fishing and a sunset cruise with Brian out of the Ocean Reef resort Marina. Contact the resort for info. Overall, we just had a very laid back two weeks at this lovely place. Freeport is coming back after the last hurricane and two years of covid. The people are warm and friendly and the views are out of this world. Highly recommended for a peaceful and relaxing vacation!

This place is perfect if you want to be on the water!! There are 4 groups of coral heads just off the bank in 8ft of water to see all kinds of fish so bring your snorkel and fins!!!! Bring plenty of bug spray for the biting gnats as well. House was perfect. Thanks Bruce and Andrew!!

From the moment we arrived we felt at home, the Bahamian people made us feel like family they always had a kind word on easygoing style.

We have been coming to the Bahamas for years now but nothing compared to how amazing this trip was for us.
From the booking, ease of communication with Bruce, having our local connection Andrew meeting us at the airport, everything was taken care of. I mean everything! After getting there after two days of travel and seeing the beach as soon as you walk-in the front door- it’s like you step into a whole different time and space of relaxation.
The house was amazing- can’t say enough about it. Everything you need is there. It was the perfect place for my 10 and 8 year old (snorkeling from the beach on the property, catching lizards, shell collecting), my 76 year old mother so relax and enjoy reading on the back deck that’s has the most beautiful waters as far as the eye can see, my hubby who stalked bonefish all the way down to Banana bay! Definitely a place for all to enjoy.
I highly recommend having Andrew preparing some local dishes for you- he was so much fun and a wealth of knowledge for the kids and all of us! The best food around was made in our own little villas for the week and leftovers that lasted 2 days!
We are already looking at dates to come back and hopefully stay even longer. Thank you Bruce and Andrew- for making this one of our best trips ever!

Paradise is an Understatement
If you are looking for a tranquil setting, steps from the beach/ocean with great accommodations, this is the place. I was tempted to leave a lousy review to scare others away so we could have this to ourselves. Bruce was great to deal with and Andrew (the property manager)was an outstanding host. From meeting us at the airport, to his responsiveness to any questions we had - he was most hospitable. The fully furnished home was our home away from home as we cooked most of our meals on site. The wifi was great for the time that we had to work. A morning walk on the beach, followed by sipping a fresh cup of coffee watching the sunrise over the ocean set the tone for every day. We look forward to booking another stay.

Fabulous views and location
My husband and I spent 4 nights in this dream place.
Bruce was very helpful in the weeks leading to our trip. The services he offers were extremely appreciated by us.
Bruce’s partners wife, Sonja, came to meet us at the airport, and the rental place they recommended- Brads Car rental, had a rep there for us. He took us to get our car, and we followed Sonja. (It was much easier to know how to drive on the left when you are following someone). Soniya took us to buy some essential foods and even more essential liquor:), and then we followed her to the private gated community.
She showed us around, there was already wonderful dinner prepared by Andrew waiting for us, as well as the other food items we asked him to prepare for us. There was also water cooler in the house - that is a must here.
Once we were in, I could barely wait - didn’t even unpack. Went straight to the beach - which was in our back yard. Our own beach. It was amazing.
The back porch of the house is where we lived for the first few days.
That is all we did the first night, enjoyed the charcuterie Andrew prepared for us , and some wine and bubbles, while sitting on the beach right behind the house. There were two loungers and chairs for comfort. We stayed out there the whole night.
The same for the next day, porch and beach, and beautiful food prepared by Andrew. Not a single bug bothered us. I thought I picked bug spray for no reason.(bugs came on third day)
Our local experience- my husband hit the local CrossFit- super friendly people.
Janice, from the rentals place, hooked us up with her husband, Les, and we went fishing. Les is good people, we had fantastic time! He was super nice, down to earth, aware and helpful. He made sure we got the barracuda!
We got to experience a few other locals places. We went to the marketplace, of course. We had a quick bite in Agave with the best rum drinks ever, and spent the afternoon at Flying Fish, enjoying elevated cousins and extraordinary service.
Just up the beach next to the house was Banana Bay- fantastic beach restaurant with elevated food, awesome beach deck, and a sandbar where you can take a chair or lounge and go hang out- in the middle of the ocean:). And that is walking distance to our house:)
Overall, while the kitchen had everything- it can use organizing and a deep clean. Decor is somewhat dated, but layout is amazing! It was perfect for us! Waking up to 180 degrees of ocean is incredible.

Stunningly perfect
We had such a wonderful relaxing stay at this beautiful home. The views and beach were surreal. We never even went to see the pool. Even enjoyed sitting on the deck on a stormy day watching a storm roll in and pass over us. The home is inviting and exactly as it is shown. Bruce, the owner was a pleasure to deal with and was always readily available for questions and answered promptly. Andrew, the property manager met us at the gate and brought us to the home also cooks and prepares meals that were simply wonderful. So happy we found this place!!!!

Wonderful stay
Paradise Villa is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Our family of 5 adults spent a week doing just that. The Villa is very comfortable and well appointed. And the view from the back porch is just spectacular - we spent many hours watching the ocean and listening to the waves from there. Bruce was very communicative and easy going from first inquiry all the way to during our stay. We had a small problem with our stay and Bruce responded very positively to our issue and more than made up for our inconvenience. He showed true commitment to the satisfaction of his guests. Andrew was wonderful as well, and his reputation as a chef is well deserved - we really enjoyed the local cuisine he prepared and served us on - guess where - the back porch. We really enjoyed our stay at Paradise Villa and hope to stay again.

Location, location, location
This was our second trip to “Paradise”, each time a wonderful experience. The owner Bruce is great to work with, communication was first class. But the location is the best on Grand Bahama Island. I hate to provide any more accolades which will only increase demand for property rental.

Wonderful beachfront home
Bruce’s home was complete paradise! It was great to be so close to the beach and Banana Bay. We saw a sting ray swim past- the water is so clear here. The house had everything we needed and Andrew was available whenever we had an issue. We would book again.
