About this house rental
Situated in Estero Island, this attractive house for $350 per night is a great option for your next trip. This spacious 3 bedroom 3 bath house is originally for vacation rental, but we are now accepting reservations for relief workers, construction workers, contractors, and local residents. Great location for contractors who want to have the convenience to stay close to their job site on the island. Includes one carport space, plus ample driveway parking for 4 cars or pickup trucks. Sleeps up to 8: 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 full beds. All linens, bathroom towels, and kitchenware provided. Full kitchen. Washer & Dryer in unit. DO NOT BOOK THIS UNIT IF YOU ARE VACATIONING. ***Cable TV and Internet are not provided. ***No smoking, no pets. ***Available for long term rental (6 months or longer) at a significant better rate. Awesome getaway for first time stay in Fort Myers Beach!
Communication with Dennis and owners Ted and Shu-Chen was very good. Property had plenty of space inside for everyone to do their own thing. Just like at home, kitchen was central area. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary pots/pans/utensils needed to cook your own food. Their a Publix about a half mile down the road that is well stocked for the amount of shoppers. I was very surprised. We rode the cruiser bikes that are supplied to the grocery store! Yes, there are cruiser bikes supplied, no helmets though. Bike chain and locks are supplied which is a nice touch. These are simple cruiser bikes, not top end bikes with a bunch of gears. But they worked great to get to the shops without having to fight the traffic. This is a huge bonus.
Three bedrooms with three bathrooms. 1 had only a shower stall and toilet. Upstairs master had whirlpool tub, separate shower stall. Third room with double beds had tub/shower combo.
Ground floor under the main house had screened in open area with soft outdoors chars and tables. We used it for dinner when we cooked on the gas grill. We brought the plates and food down and I grilled burgers and brats. Worked out great having that gas grill as an option.
Beach access is a short walk. Crossing the main street was easy since cars readily stopped for pedestrians. This was a good things. There was a large cart that we used to carry supplied beach chairs, cooler and beach umbrellas. Although you could bring your own sun shade, many are light and portable. The beaches we not full in this section of the beach, it might be a little different during peak season. This section of beach is not by any hotel's, mainly rentals.
Nice clean, easy to use VRBO for a relaxing time on the beach. Recommended!

Very nice house in a great location
We've stayed on the island at Ft. Myers Beach quite a number of times, but we all agree this was probably the best due to the size of the unit and its location. The owners and property manager were very responsive when we needed them. You can easily walk to the beach for the beautiful sunsets. Lots of stairs because the unit is one floor up from the ground, as are most homes in the area.

Especially appreciate the efforts of the property manager Dennis who went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable and carefree as possible. The large size of the unit and the proximity to a beautiful stretch of beach made this a favorite rendezvous for family staying at other properties in the Ft Myers area.

Great access to the beach!
Beds were comfortable, wagon and bikes were a plus, kitchen was well equipped. Property owners were very helpful. We recommend Fish Tale restaurant, the Mound House, and Lovers Key State Park.

May 10th Trip
This is our 3rd year of renting this same property. As in the past years we were completely satisfied with the property, the location, the amenities, etc. It is a short walk to the beach. The owners provide a wagon, beach chairs, cooler, etc. The condo is very spacious and is always very clean and well maintained. The bikes that are provided are a nice to have as a way to easily get into town. We love the condo and the area and will certainly be back again next year.

We were disappointed with the unannounced arrival on the property of the owners during our stay. We booked this home for one week and the home owners showed up with no prior notification three different days. One day they scheduled a meeting with a contractor in the screened in porch that was part of our rental at 9:30 am in the morning. I came down to have my coffee only to be surprised by a meeting going on at the table. Another day the owners showed with trailer/truck and came into our screened in porch to haul away a grill. Our driveway was blocked by a trailer as my daughter was trying to leave for an event. The other time was to trim the trees in the front of the house.
It was a very uncomfortable feeling that the home we rented we never really felt like we could fully relax. We did discuss this with the owners after the third time as we just didn't understand why we didn't get a call or text letting us know they were coming. They did apologize but overall the stay was not enjoyable. The overall home is very nice but only book if you want to see the owners surprise you throughout the stay.

We had four adults and three teens at this rental. Beds were comfortable, space and storage was great, the kitchen was well stocked, and the Florida room was handy for some quick work check-ins. The bikes and beach chairs were in good shape and really nice to have - no need to figure out rentals. The screened patio was really nice to have and served as a space for others to meet us. The walk to the beach is short and this section of the beach is sparsely populated - even during spring break! The only downside is the longer walk to restaurants (traffic was too bad to drive) but we had excellent weather and didn’t have an issue with the walk.

Great time at Anchorage Palms!
We had a great time staying at Anchorage Palms! The property was exactly as listed and very clean upon arrival. The beach is just at the end of the street which makes it easy to pop back and forth from the house to the beach. We did not have a car during our trip and relied on the bikes to get around, which was great since traffic on the island can get very congested and Ubers are sparse. The house comes with essentials to get your trip started (toilet paper, dish soap, etc) but the kitchen was not stocked with any food basics like salt, sugar, condiments, etc. Publix is short bike ride away though so this was not a problem. Overall we had a great trip and would stay at Anchorage Palms again!

March 2020 Stay
This is the 2nd time we have rented this property. Another great stay. The bikes and wagon ,etc make it very convenient. The condo is very clean and well stocked. We will certainly rent again in the future.

Excellent Vacation Home
Enjoyed our week at Anchorage Palms. The house is beautiful and spacious. Entertained our friends throughout the week. They all loved it! We had a nice visit with Shu-Chen and Ted. They are very friendly and welcoming. We hope to come back again.

Highly recommend
I spent a little over a month and would go back in a heartbeat I thought the location was perfect not too close to the north end which is kind of busy and close to a grocery store easy walk to the beach beds were fine the TVs all worked the lounger chair was falling apart but I think they’ll probably change that. I actually got to meet the owners and they’re delightful.
