We are approx. 10 miles from both I-95 & Florida's Turnpike, making it a convenient stop for travelers. An array of birds gather around the many feeders, providing soothing melodies. Manatee are year round in Florida and can be observed with ease from the rockers on the covered porch. Occasionally seeing a small alligator (they are native here folks) or the otter can been witnessed playing on the dock/water. on the dock, under the heavenly skies & is ideal for late night star gazing with a glass of fine wine & your best friend. 2 lounge chairs also for sunbathers. Newly planted, Thick, Dark Green Bamboo, Palm & Cypress trees are prominent, providing that extra layer of desired privacy. Our "Florida Shack in the Back" was a small building that came with the home we purchased in 2013, that we commonly referred to as The Shack. We watched the sun rise & set for 2 years before we finally decided on the desired layout & possible amenities it would include. The final product was more than we imagined.
