About this house rental
Situated in Hill City, this lovely house for $305 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. The Gold Mill Town Home is located on Prospect Mountain on a ridge overlooking the mountain town of Hill City. Downtown is within an ambitious walking distance. (Only a few minutes down-hill but remember the trek home is all uphill!). The deck offers spectacular views of our quaint little main street, downtown, and surrounding mountain vistas. Built in 2006, this has become a favorite setting for motorcyclists, classic and vintage car owners due to paved roads to the doorstep and a double car garage. We have parking for trailers for ATV enthusiasts on an empty lot on Sluice Run Court cul de sac. Also, a perfect spot for family gatherings when rented with the Prospector, which is VRBO listing # 162608. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms make this town home popular for couples traveling together as well as a family group. There is a gas grill and outdoor tables and chairs on the deck expanding across the front of the rental. This is a NO PETS, NO SMOKING rental. The primary bedroom has a king bed with an en suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Wall A/C unit and cable TV for the master bedroom. The other two bedrooms have a queen bed in each with a ceiling fan and ample closet space! The bathrooms are adjacent to each of the bedrooms with queen beds. A folding portable firm queen mattress is available and is recommended for children in the group of 8. The open kitchen/dining and living room area also has a wall A/C unit and flat screen TV with cable. Unlimited internet access. Sluice Run: During the Black Hills gold rush of the 1870’s, miners would ore the gold and wash it down gullies by the way of a water channel controlled by a gate called a sluice.

We really enjoyed the accommodations. It’s a very nice place and easy access to all the attractions of the Black Hills. We loved seeing the 1880 Train go past down the hill a few times a day. Very close to downtown Hill City, which is a fun place to walk around and patronize the cute stores, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. Would love to stay again!

This town home was perfect for our group. It was clean and exactly as advertised. It is centrally located for all the area attractions. Hill City itself is a nice clean town with shopping, dining, breweries, and wineries nearby. I highly recommend this place and we will certainly stay here in the future

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and spacious, much brighter than it looks in the pictures. We appreciated the garage and trailer parking. It is close to the downtown restaurants with a great view of Hill City and the hills. Perfect spot to stay to be close to great hiking and not far from many ATV trails.

This property was comfortable, clean and convenient. Loved the 3 full baths , one for each bedroom. Also liked the enclosed garage. Few more stairs than we expected, which was a little problem for one of the couples., we made it work by having them stay upstairs. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we are ever in this area again.

Thank you for the beautiful get a way. The location is perfect, the condos were so clean, we could visit each other every night and play games. The condos can be rented together like we did and go back and forth. It was so convenient. The whole family complemented me for finding this jewel. Washed our clothes and dried them there, tons of garage space and room for parking trailers if necessary. Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back. Kari

Location was perfect for gas, groceries, food and trails. We had a comfortable stay! Would stay Gain! A screen for the downstairs bedroom and a/ for one of the bedrooms would give this a 5 star.

My family and I just returned from a wonderful stay in South Dakota. This home in Hill City was our base during our stay. The house is just as advertised, clean, bright, and very close to downtown. We walked to dinner several evenings! The property is one half of a duplex that is very well insulated. We never heard our neighbors (although they were there throughout our stay)! The views from the front deck were lovely and we had breakfast there almost every morning. The house is in a great location for visiting the monuments, the town of Hot Springs, Custer State Park, and Deadwood. All in all, our stay could not have been better. Only one thing could have been improved and it was minor. The kitchen was not very well equipped. For example, there were only four large drinking glasses and there was no grater. For a family who likes to cook on vacation, as we do, this required some figuring out! Otherwise, everything was wonderful and we will definitely come back if/when we return to South Dakota!

This property is very clean and well maintained. The placards throughout the house re: instructions, light switches, TV Remotes, A/C, etc. were very helpful. Hill City is convenient to many sites in the Black Hills. Wonderful stay, great vacation!

Great Location, Beautiful House
We had two motorcycles so having the garage was key! Wonderful location; we walked into town each of the six nights we were there. We had two couples so it was nice to have one of us upstairs and the other downstairs. The house was in great condition and the front porch was lovely to hang out on. Highly recommend this property.

2 day stay in black hills and mt.rushmore area
This property was nice for our group of six adults. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The location to everything we did such as Rushmore, deadwood, badlands was fine. Check in was easy and the host was easy to communicate with. If your looking for a nice place to stay for your time in this area this property would work quite well.

Beautiful Place and Location
We absolutely enjoyed staying here. Perfect location to two wineries, riding side-by-side in National Forest without having to trailer them, very close to a lot of sites, and very clean. Full kitchen as we cooked our own breakfasts and evening dinners. Sandwiches out on the trails. We will definitely be back!!!

Great accomodation
Beautifully maintained and friendly telephone communication for check in. Within walking distance of Main Street but quiet and can see deer come down the hillside. Excellently stocked kitchen including an electric skillet, electric grill and slow cooker. Would definitely stay again.

The Gold Mill was an awesome get away weekend for three couples to enjoy the memorial day weekend and the ATV trails around Hill City.

Great location and amenities
This apartment was perfect for our family, as we gathered together to remember my husband's mom whose memorial service was in Hill City. We were there with three of our adult children, and everyone appreciated the apartment. We enjoyed the well-appointed living area and patio, the hot tub, the comfort of the furnishings, and having 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. We'll definitely consider staying here again on future visits to Hill City.
