Beautiful 2,000+ square foot vacation home located in Hill City. Walk to 1880 train, dinner or lunch at the Alpine Inn, or walk downtown to do some shopping. Mickelson Hiking/Biking Trail just steps from the house. House is located less than 25 miles from Rapid City. Within thirty minutes drive you can visit: Mount Rushmore National Monument, Crazy Horse Memorial, Needles Hwy, Custer State Park, Lakes, Bear Country, Water Slide, golf courses and Children attraction: Storybook Island. House is approximately one hour from Sturgis/ Deadwood/ and the Badlands.

It was a convient place to stay and the house was clean, there was room enough for everyone. A future note about the amount of stairs and the steepness would be nice to warn potential renters - we have one family member that is older and stairs are difficult. Getting into the house was a little difficult. We never did get a door code emailed to our vrbo account and it took repeated phone calls to the host number to reach someone and get it. Other than that our stay was very enjoyable.

This is a wonderful property — clean, spacious and a convenient location. We could easily walk to the grocery store or into downtown Hill City to enjoy the restaurants. The house has two huge gathering areas: a spacious living room on the first floor and a magnificent, huge sunroom on the second floor. We enjoyed watching the turkeys from the sunroom. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed.

Very nice property. Only criticism is the lack of dressers in the bedroom areas downstairs.

Just a few things we had trouble with. The refrigerator kept freezing the food, the stove was not easy to cook on and took a long time to cook the food, and no pots and pans with lids to fit. The people are very friendly and try hard to please you. There are a lot of stairs if you can't do stairs, you won't get in and hard to unload suit cases and groceries.
