Was very nice, the owners left us fresh brownies. Beds are comfy and with the fire going, which was prepped ready and plenty of redgum, very cosy. Possums running over the roof and on the balcony make a huge racket but other than that, quiet. Good well supplied kitchen and big bathtub.

X11 Stone Steps is a lovely home that is so warm and comfortable even on rainy days. The fire was set for us and there was massive amounts of wood available Thank you. The kitchen is full of great cooking equipment so meal making is a breeze. Biscuits and flowers to greet us! Bedrooms splendid. Could easily come another time!

This place was quiet and peaceful, the upper balcony was surrounded by trees. The birdsong and the butterflies were wonderful. The cottage was comfortable and had everything required. A great place for relaxation.

A quaint stone cottage in peaceful Clunes. Well equipped with wood heater, beautiful linen on a very comfortable bed, full kitchen with utensils for making dinner in the cosy house!

What a beauty this house is. As soon as we walked in we fell in love. Beautiful bluestone building hidden from the quiet street looking out over green hills and the old gold mines. A big warm wood fire, large comfy couches, modern kitchen facilities including a real coffee machine in this old gem.Large cosy bedrooms and a bath with a wrought iron spiral staircase made this the perfect escape. Bring a bunch of books, a few games, a few bottles of red, light the fire and don’t leave. That’s what we did for four days.You will love it!

A great place to experience the goldfields, and to get a feeling for what Clunes must have been like in the gold rush. It’s a lovingly restored place with a large garden, and cool in the heat of January

Great two bedroom bluestone cottage, with a magnificent wood fire stove in a cosy lounge room. We had a lovely stay at here and highly recommend it.

This place was perfect for some R&R. Everything you need is there, tastefully decorated and only a short stroll into town. Highly recommended.

A delightful home and location, with views across the treetops to the old diggings. Perfectly located close enough to walk to town, but with a real sense of being in the country. It was delightful to walk in through the front door and fine the fire roaring, soft music playing and a freshly baked cake awaiting on the kitchen table. Beautifully decorated, cosy and spotlessly clean...a real find.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is really relaxing and we instantly felt at home. The town is just a short walk and is a really beautiful old town. We had great star gazing and were lucky enough to be there for the blood moon eclipse! We would love to be back again. Thank you.

We loved the bluestone cottage that has been beautifully renovated.Tucked away at the side if a hill overlooking old gold mines and native trees and shrubs.We were visited in the morning by a couple of wild bush turkeys and a kangaroo.

Love love love this place! It was our second time there. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Cosy, filled with character and totally relaxing. Short walk to town. Sue is a great host. Can't recommend it more highly. You'll fall in love with it like we did.

Being two couples we had a most comfortab few days and the ambience was a perfect venue for us. The spiral staircase is a little precarious and should be encountered with caution especially with young toddlers en tow!
