Surround yourself in comfort in this home away from home where you'll find everything you need to make your vacation relaxing and enjoyable. Unfortunately we are not able to host weddings, and no children under the age of 18 are allowed to stay over, due to horses, and a large pond in the backyard. You may have small family celebrations for graduations, etc. You will find abundant wineries within driving distance. Please check out http://willamettewines.com/brochure/ to download an amazing brochure or to order a printed version prior to your trip. To see where our home is located in relation to nearby wineries and vineyards go to the "About The Valley" tab and then "Vineyard Map". If you go to the Eola-Amity Hills AVA Map section, our home is located between the Brooks and Methven vineyards and tasting rooms toward the left of that section of map. You will find that portion of the map the furthest to the right on the whole page. Our favorite local winery is Brooks, which is only 5 minutes away. Not only do they serve reds and whites, and have the best views and ambiance around, but they also have beer on tap (cider too usually) and an espresso machine for your afternoon pick me-up. They have a chef on staff so they serve food and frequently have live music on the weekends. With a 3 mountain view, comfy furniture, a deck that begs you to stay and amazing gardens, you'll find it hard to leave! Family owned Dukes Vineyard and Tasting Room is on our shared road and provides amazing views, private lake, stunning tasting room and Adirondak chairs to relax in. Silas Wines and Cohelo are right downtown, just minutes away. El Toro Restaurant and Retro Pizza are in downtown Amity (less than 5 minutes away), both have food and great service!!! You will want to make reservations for most wineries at this time. This can be done on line. Restaurants: We love both El Toro and Retro Pizza in Amity. Neither require reservations, and both usually have room. The Mojitos at El Toro are amazing. They have fresh mint outside the door. The Chile Relano and Crunchy Chicken tacos along with the Chile Colorado are my favorites. Retro PIzza has beer and pizza/burgers. Fred’s is a small bistro serving sandwiches and soup and The Common Cup has wonderful sweet and savory waffles and coffee. You will also find a drive through coffee shop downtown. McMinnville offers so many dining choices, and is only 15 minutes away. La Rambla, Thistle, Humble Spirit and Bistro Maison are all great. La Rambla is tapas, so a fun experience to do with a group and try new things. These would alltrequire reservations. Cappo serves amazing Italian thin crust wood fired pizza.. All of these are on 3rd Street in McMinnville. There are also quite a few tasting rooms in downtown McMinnville. Most of these are open later than the vineyard tasting rooms. Some require reservations, some do not. Most are on 3rd Street, which is the main street in downtown. I hope you also get the chance to eat something at Brooks. Their chef is amazing. They have several items available each day. Their crunchy Brussel Sprouts are so good. They have fried strips of carrot and beet in them. If you have time for Dukes, you will love it. The ambiance is wonderful. Tell Jackie you are staying at Alex and Krystal's:) It is literally at the end of the road. Silas Tasting room and Cohelo are also in downtown Amity. There is a small grocery store/liquor store 3 miles away in Amity. Produce isn't their specialty, but they have just about everything else. Visit www.willamettewines.com to see local vineyard information. Most wineries are requiring reservations and they tend to fill early on weekends. Many reservations can be made on line. Book early if you have wineries you really want to visit. You will find a 2 or 1 tasting card for Brook,s that is good for Monday through Friday. There is also an additional 2 for 1 card for Bjornesen, with a free tasting. Both are very close to the house. Make sure and make reservations in advance. There are extra throws in a basket by the couches. You’ll find fire starter in a box by the fireplace. Use about 1/2 cup under the wood, and you won't need kindling or paper. If you would be kind enough to feed the hummingbirds, they will return the favor with free entertainment:) and if you could throw a lid full of fish food into the middle of the pond each day, they would appreciate it very much. Please do not feed the fish if the outdoor termperature is under 55. They can not process the food in the cold. Please let me know if I can be of further in make your stay special. Thank you. Krystal While in the area visit the numerous vineyards, wine tasting rooms, award winning restaurants, golf, hot air balloon rides, Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum w/IMAX, Evergreen Water Park, art galleries, antique shops, farmers markets, the Oregon Coast, Portland and the Columbia Gorge. Embrace all the beauty and adventure of the Northwest!!! We do have an apartment behind the shop, which is a considerable distance from the house and facing the other direction. We will tend to the chickens, horses via a separate driveway. Respecting your privacy is very important to us.

The house and property was SPECTACULAR! Sunset views, Lodge style Home. The Home was very well built and put together. Kitchen had everything we needed and there were a TON of places to enjoy, sit and visit. The outdoor area had a pond with running water, fire pit, covered area for inclement weather......i could go on and on. 15 acres to take walks, feed the horses and goats. Probably the MOST WELL KEPT place we've ever stayed. All the rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfy. We travel with our Border Collies and the had a WONDERFUL time running on the grass. We did run out of firewood on the 4th day without a way to replenish which was a bummer. The landscape maintenance crew was there for many hours one of the days and we couldn't enjoy the outdoor area for a few hours but overall our stay was AWESOME and we hope to come back next year. Owner super weird. Asked us to watch her dogs. The garage and house reeked of dog smell because of the dogs/puppies that were in the garage. The owner was super invasive and overbearing. I had to complain before I even arrived. It is a shame because the property is pretty. It was my sons wedding weekend and I didn’t need the stress on top.

The house fit all of our needs, plus. The beds were so comfortable, the furniture and decor relaxing, the kitchen was stocked with all the things you need like plastic bags, wraps, spices, flour, cream for coffee, and even fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm! The outdoor views are stunning and inspired us every time we looked out. It rained while we were there which hardly diminished the beautiful setting. There were games, cards, and TVs to keep us occupied. The owner was always responsive with the VERY few questions we had (she provided thorough instructions on everything). Our family agrees we are not staying in hotels any more (they had been a hotel-only crowd until this stay - thank you Krystal for changing their perspectives!). Thank you to Krystal for making your house such an amazing place to stay!

We had eight friends stay here. The place was fantastic! We each had our own room and everyone seemed happy with what they got. The house if beautifully decorated. The outside back yard was like something you see in a movie. We will definitely be back.

We spent 4 nights at this home to celebrate my fathers 70th birthday! The home was perfect and so spacious for the 7 of us! The backyard is so magical with a pond and views. Located near a ton of wineries and places to eat. I wish we lived closer so we could stay there more often! The house is fully stocked with everything you need and the host even left us fresh eggs to eat and carrots to feed the horses. The home is very clean and comfortable to stay in!

All eight guests agreed that the house was beautiful. Located outside Amity, it allowed us to get to all the wineries in the area within about 30 minutes. House was well stocked and supplied. A very good experience.
