This place lived up to it's main expectation: the social aspect! The staff were really friendly as soon as I walked into the door for check in, and overall the hostel created a really great social environment which encouraged people to get to know each other and start chatting. The facilities were adequate given the price of the stay.
The beds could have had a little more privacy as the curtain didn't cover the bed all the way, and I'd have preferred not to have put on my own bedsheets, but other than that, it was mostly fine! Just to note, this place doesn't have a fancy Japanese toilet.

The people and social aspect is what makes this hostel, met the best people here and really enjoyed my stay because of them. Also a perk that you get a free beer per evening
Not the cleanest especially the bathrooms which could have done with being cleaned more regularly. There was mould in the showers

Close to a lot of central sights like Senso-ji, Ueno koen, etc. Not too far of a walk to konbinis and the train station. Staff were all super nice and friendly, i loved them all. Free beer at the bar every night was a nice bonus. The beds were spacious and comfortable, and had space for luggage storage around the bed, too.
First hostel i've stayed at in Japan that seems a lot more relaxed and more western style.
The bathroom sinks and showers on the girl's floor were not clean at all.
As far as i could tell there were no laundry facilities.
Once the bar closes at 11pm, there's not really anywhere to socialise in the hostel.
The beds at the end of the room next to the windows get significantly more sunlight than the others, so i had to use a sleep mask.
